In an era that produced many great front men Jimmy Hall was one of the best. Jimmy plays harmonica and saxophone as well. Jimmy is still performing at an amazing level.

The Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jams in the late 70's and early 80's were fabulous. The format was Charlie would play a full set and the rest of the night was surprise guests who would generally perform two songs. I saw everyone from James Brown to Willie Nelson to Ted Nugent. Stevie Ray (first album tour), Lynyrd Skynyrd (first performance after crash), Carl Perkins, Billy Joel, Molly Hatchet, Alabama are a few more that come to mind. The Jam was a yearly highlight.

I am a city boy from the country…or a country boy from the city. Either way, in the 70s I happened to see Wet Willie 3 times in less than 6 months. Each time they were the opening act for the other 3 different bands I actually bought tickets to see.

Very popular in the South back in the 70's. (Southern Rock). Keep On Smilling and Weekend were their most famous songs Nationally. My favorite song by them is Street Corner Serenade and another great song is Everything That You Do Will Come Back To You!!!!!!!!. Other song Grits Ain't Groceries and Country Side Of Life.

I saw Wet Willie in 1979 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. I was 16 and my 3rd concert ever. (Been to 1000s) They came out and jaws dropped when only the first 2 rows were filled. I felt embarrassed for them. But, they said " not many people here, but were gonna rock you anyway". They were fantastic. We left at intermission and drove 10 min to Oklahoma in my 75 Nova to buy beer with our homemade fake IDs and back to our undisturbed seats. AHHH Good Times!!

I saw Wet Willie a couple of times back in the day, usually opening for the Charlie Daniels Band or another more prominent Southern rock band. Always a good show! And generally harmonica players have a harp for every key. A cousin of mine is a pretty good blues harmonica player in South Carolina, and he has one of those harmonica belts.

Sounds about like the black Baptist church I a used to pass on my way home from the First Baptist church. That preacher didn’t return to tell us he got the spirit to rell us a little more, we had one that would tell us he was going to wrap the sermon up because the Cowboys kink off err 12:30. It’s not necessarily clueless just Boone to the bone

We had 3 in diapers at once !
Starting at 2 weeks they slept 6 to 8 hours.
Put them in bed and if they wake up check their health ...change diaper if needed.....lights back out immediately and go back to bed.
No rocking during your sleep time.
In a week or 2 when they learn that there is no reward to wake up and cry for attention. ....they sleep.
NEVER put them in your bed....they will wont to be there for years lol

I think it's bad luck and your baby is teething - sometimes you are to close to realize what it is.
Of course church, gospel music helped many musicians (even if they sometimes don't know it) - I am using e.g. Splat-to-Clat (iPad drum rhythm sets) - these are the best (interesting) poly-rhythmic-patterns for little money - these guys have a gospel background and are quite awesome ($ 15 f. iPad-version).
