- The second time using the Hyrule overworld theme as a template for a cover! I'll be doing more SNES covers from other games soon as well! This one was quite a lot of fun to make, and not all that hard. I did try to make the trumpet sound really close to the original by adding a lot of staccato etc. Anyways, enjoy!

====General Information====
-I use MidiTrail to make the video. It is a program that gives you a cool 3D view by loading a piano midi.
-I don't show drums, samples and echoes in the video, this is to make it easier to see the notes.
-I use a plugin called NES VST, made by Matt Montag! You can check out his site here, you can also donate: www.mattmontag...
-You can use my songs in your videos, as long as you put a link to my channel in the description. Also letting me know would be nice :-)
This song faithful to the limitations of the SNES (except for maybe the audio quality.) However the way I create these is nothing like actual SNES music programming, which is -of course a lot harder.
-The image that I use in the video isn't in any way 8-bit, it's just simple pixel art. I create the image myself by editing an existing image.
-I don't really take requests at the moment.
-Criticism is appreciated. but keep in mind that the SNES can only play a certain amount of notes at a time,
so that's why almost no song can be recreated perfectly.

Dude, what I adore about this SNES update in particular is how much it sounds like the original but how effective the LTTP instruments are. It’s fitting, not just because it’s Zelda’s only official SNES appearance, but also because Link’s Awakening is a sequel to LTTP. It makes so much sense to have the same instruments and spirit, as this is still the story of the hero of legend. This is absolutely beautiful, and I hope you keep up the good work.

I call it the "Game Boy Part", and as Link's Awakening was the first LoZ game I ever played, I was actually confused that it was "missing" in other games.

Yoooo, this is sick. I’ve always loved this version of the main theme, always hoping it would show up again some day in the main series. This, however, is the next best thing!
Since they've done a sequelish thing for ALttP, it wouldn't be out of place if they did the same for LA.
It wouldn't exactly be out of place since it would give them a buffer for the next major Switch game too.
Hell, they could even co-release it on the 3DS for "support" and maximum sales.
Though I'm firmly in the camp of wanting something using the 2.5D mockup up of the original that became Breath of the Wild as the next smaller game, I wouldn't say no to this.
With the Link’s Awaking remake coming soon in 2019. We will very much be hearing a brand new orchestrated version of this song! :D

@@The_Metroid What actually happened was that the title of the video said "Awaking" instead of "Awakening" but Loeder changed it.
No, no, you see Link's Awakening and Link's Awaking are two separate games. Link's Awaking is on the Nintendo Genesis 360.

They're both my favourites: Seasons for its colourful seasons and more energetic gameplay, Ages for its puzzles and its somewhat fourdimensional world (thanks to the ages).

@@nowonmetube Well, it does have a top-down perspective, but it still plays around with different elevations - even though they're "faked": There are ledges you can jump down from and sometimes you need to keep the layout of the different floors in mind to reach specific areas, especially in a dungeon. While interactions with the third and "fourth" dimensions are rather limited, they do play quite an important roll in tackling many obstacles.

You missed a golden opportunity to start strong with the short bit that plays once you get your sword on the beach.
This was always my favorite overworld theme in the series, and hearing this remix of it is amazing.
Link's Awakening still has the series' best overworld theme as far as I'm concerned, and it's a cryin' shame they've never really given it a solid remix outside of Smash Bros..

Link's Awakening was one of the first games I played as a kid besides Pokemon Yellow and the game based off the TCG. Loved it
I found out about this one pretty late, but i don’t think it’s a stretch to say it’s underrated. In general, I didn’t grow up with Zelda, but I still think these games are fantastic.

Honestly, to me, the Links Awakening/Oracles rendition of the Zelda theme is the definitive version.

I'm a musician myself and I loved this because you did respect the melodies of each instrument and did it true as it should sound if it was originally made for the SNES... sir, I respect this arrangement; great work!

If I may add a suggestion, I would make the two high notes in red at 0:32 a little bit quieter and maybe each go for a tiny bit longer and fade out.

You know I have a copy of Link's Awakening DX and never completed it. But this past month, I played it and pretty much close to the end of the game. I find it an odd coincidence you did this remix while I'm in the middle of playing this amazing game.
