- This is a yet another re-upload for better quality and High Definition.
A ride aboard Red Deer Transit's last remaining active GM Fishbowl which was originally built in 1980 as no. 71-44. She was rebuilt/refurbished in the early 2000's as no. 510. This bus was retired in late 2010. - Авто/Мото
Nicely refurbished interior.
Gotta love those revving 6v71 engine sounds
Beautiful condition, and those open back windows were so underrated on buses. I appreciated transit companies that didn't cover them up with wraps and inserts for ads and kept them as windows for better light and rider enjoyment.
Beautiful condition
Now this brings back memories. St. Catharines Transit had a whole fleet of these, and I rode them a bunch as a kid.
Some of those St. Catharines Transit buses from back then are originally from Alberta too!
@@busrailfan they had some ex-San Diego units too I believe.
Yes they did! Those were quite a bit later on than the former Calgary ones.
@@busrailfan the 81’s seemed to last the longest compared to the 77-79-80’s.
Red Dear Ab
Nice! I wish TTC still had them
they have a few but most of them in storage and one is used for special events
@@transitgoods2477 Is 2290 still at Europe?
Saskatoon had them to. we retired them in 2013 & we kept 2 they kept one in regular service for several more months and kept the other one for a heritage antique in 2013 for celebration of 100 years. they re-painted it to the original 70s paint scheme. TaxiCab Yellow Roofs. Military Green Upper Sides Around The Windows. That Same Yellow Lower Sides. The Same Green At The Very Bottom.

Awesome videoCan I use this for an audio project for my heritage bus fleet? I'll be sure to give you credit
Okay, send me a link to what you are working on when it is done please?
@busrailfan it's just basically an audio with a picture of # 510 I'll make sure to tag you in my title and mention you in my description
When did you tape this? 2009?
November 2010.
@@busrailfan
So you filmed in November 2010 so you’re saying that Bus was retired in December 2010?. so you must’ve taped this on its final day of regular service
@@shaneinkster4775 Private ride before retirement.
