  • Loaded up both my Polaris RMK and Matryx Assault and headed to Eagles Pass to ride with Jon Jean, Liam Dhillon, and Mark Newman! I chose to ride the Matryx assault and gave it a good flex in some deep snow! So stoked on how well it performed!

    I like seeing the old-school boys mixing it up with the locals in fairly public places, staying humble and having fun. Had an awesome time riding with you boys. Definitely have to do it again. My favorite part is the dude on the bike had no idea who "Brett Turcotte" was. I told him you were the first guy to ever back flip a snowbike. His response "oh so he knows how to ride a bike then". Perfect day.

    • @turcotte16
      @turcotte16  3 года назад +6

      It could use a touch more, mostly it’s poor go pro audio but I have noticed on LONG pulls it does drop rpm, I blame it mostly on the gearing and chain case, it’s geared to do 120km/h across the lake!

    I’d be blown away if the mountain line up doesn’t move into this chassis!! The axys is a great chassis but if Polaris develops a complete different mtn chassis it be a a waste of money when you have the matryx already. But companies do weird shit so 🤷‍♂️:)

    • @leftyeh6495

      Not necessarily, as the crossover still has to do trail. They may have a new mountain chassis that makes the matryx look like it doesn't belong. Just don't know until next week. Honestly if they were able to narrow up the axis (ski stance, plastics, and gas tank) and get some more tunnel clearance I don't know that it can really get any better without dropping more weight and being stronger. Carbon rails and titanium suspension with air shocks? Maybe the cost per unit could make it a reality, at least I'm dreaming it can.
      My dealer was willing to give me a few "maybe..." on something coming in the engine department, but he wouldn't say anything about the chassis.

    • @turcotte16

      @@turcotte16 awesome! I have a 2021 144 and I just can’t move it around very well and get it up on edge and am thinking about getting an rmk or khaos. I might just look into a new front end then now. Thanks!

    • @leftyeh6495
      @leftyeh6495 3 года назад

      @@bengriep3171 Look into your suspension setup. It really surprised me how much easier it was getting on edge once I got it all balanced out and soft enough to move, while being firm enough to stay up in the stroke. It took a couple re-valves, spring changes, and preload adjustment but it's like a different sled now.
