- Took my 2021 Polaris Matryx Assault 146 for its first ride! This sled is incredible, I felt so comfortable right away, I backflipped it on my second jump ever!!
I was in the parking lot and was like oh that’s weird Turcotte is just got here and is leaving. Next thing you know just comes drifting around the corner😂
Haha yeah! Movie magic!
5 Karen's have seen this video
Maybe a look at what the new 2022 RMK is going to look like!?
Well if that isn’t the sickest sled review ever, I don’t know what is
I love having fun!!! Sometimes gotta get the flood goin 😳
Epic! I love seeing a mostly stock SBA going bonkers wild instead of the usual highly modified Mt sleds. This is so much more attainable to the average joe and gets me excited. Keep up the great work!
I love keeping them as stock as possible!!
@@turcotte16 What track were you running on it? The stock 2" crossover from polaris???
Haha thats awesome, brand new sled lets get it upside down. Turkey's fly.
What name of the song at the start of the video
So sick turkey! I would love to see a 146 rmk this year with a 2.6. Vertical post, rmk running boards, 36” front end, short tunnel, and the option for fox qs3!
I’m excited to see what’s Comin for 2022!
Sks 146 swap steering post and front end
Assault vs the Khaos, can you notice the weight difference ? would you say the assault for the big jumps and khaos for just all around crazy?
Can def feel the weight differences between Khaos and assault. I’m much prefer the Khaos over the assault as an all around machine
That thing is “BAD ASS” 😎 Keep the vids coming.
Thats sick and you did it at my favorite spot too.So this sled going to be the new RMK chassis
Your filmer needs to clean his lens or sensor.
Yeah that’s my bad! I forgot to check
It before the day started.
@@turcotte16 its all good. Keep the videos coming!!!
So like did you put an RMK front end on it
Watching those flips on repeat! The ending with the lost side panel was funny 🤣
Hahaha
Just ordered a switchback from snowcheck :) Btw what's the song at 4:55 ?
That was awesome Brett! Now we really know what they are capable of doing!
Stylin’ breakin!!!!
Thank you!!
Frick man @ 2:30 I'm trying to clean the screen.!
Haha sorry! Dirty camera…
Finally off the Kitty. I tried being brand loyal, and still want to, but they won't let me. Good for you man. Enjoy the shit outa the Polaris!!!
Awesome video man! love the sled
Thanks man! Me too!
what all goes into that front end swap? any more information? i'd like to do that same thing been looking for that higher sitting more narrow stance on my SBA
Can you explain why it’s a laid down steering post and not vertical like the rmk? I like the vertical post I feel like they turn more natural . Angled I feel they turn kinda weird. Like a skidoo not bashing skidoo at all they are badass sleds just turd weird to me.
Each rider is different! Typically lay down post is for better cornering while sitting, this is why it’s widely used on trail models, and race models alike! I have grown to understand this style of steering, from my professional racing career! Smaller riders typically fare better with the lay down post because it’s easier to manipulate the sled with body weight. The vertical post to me, and many others, is a foreign way to steer a snowmobile. Much like steering a tractor, compared to riding a dirtbike
@@turcotte16 oh ok thanks for getting back to me !! Matryx pro rmk and khaos most likely coming I think !!!
Find out soon!
@@turcotte16 in March correct ?
It's a switchback assault too
Crazy!
Brett, I have the matryx assault 146.... What's your build list/upgrades done thus far? With it being a new chassis it's hard to find upgrades or anything that has been put to the test. Specifically the front end, I was hoping for the sks in the new chassis to snowcheck something a little better for off trail. Saw your narrowed front and know that no one is putting the 146 through a testing like u have this season. Or pushing it to the limits...
If u can, what have u done and how has the upgrades held up... Thanks bro!
I’ll see what I can do
That's why I'll never buy a pullyourass, MFKRS always trying to make it like a dirt bike. You want that go buy a damn snow hawk or somethin... leave this sport alone. Wish the manufacturers would ask advise from none moto guys.
Jumps were ok
Love your attitude 😀
Did the RMK front end parts line right up? only thing I don't like about my MATRYX 146 is the wide front end.
Yep lined up awesome!! Used all the parts including the steering rods
That is sick flipping. I did the same brand new VR1 with the seat but it didn't fly off luckily. I locked the back of the seat with the push pin but didn't push it into the front clip this guy on the highway was like your seat pull over lol lmfao
Oh man!!! What a bummer
Been wanting to spring order a sba 146, but was still wanting a narrow front end for riding out west. Does a react front end off a pro rmk just bolt right on? Awesome content. Keep it coming.
Yeah the react front end is a direct cross over fit! Just need to run the rmk length shocks and the shorter radius rods.
I was up there with Adam well you guys were filming..man you make it look so easy!! It’s my first year snowmobiling, and watching some of this first hand is pretty sweet!! Makes me want to step my game up
That’s awesome!
Excellent riding an extreme professional
I will get this sled next year
But won't be this Carraige us
Great video
You’re gonna love it!!
All these backcountry riders don’t know how to properly break in an engine and they wonder why their engines only last to like 5000
Haha everyone has their own methods!
How's flipping a sled compared to a dirtbike or a mtn bike? Just wondering if it's much harder given increased mass, I like cushy landings tho. Great sled, looks killer, much more on point then majority of stickered out mtn sleds, dig the short tunnel as well)
Sled flips slower initially then speeds up, it’s a bit tougher of a pull but feels the same once you’re in it!
@@turcotte16 do you pin it on the take off to speed up rotation or just pull back hard? I don’t know why I’m asking might never go for it, but the itch is real)
great video. But does it flip as easy as the Surron lol
Easier!
Just curious, was there any adjustment tweaks you made to the length of the shocks? How about the limiter strap?
Never touched the limiter strap. All I did was adjust the shocks for stiffness, and made sure there was 1/2” pre load on all the coils
What bars and riser are you using cfr? What size riser is it? Killer video man, love the assault
Stock Polaris bars, 2” CFR riser block!
Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
What lug hight are you using on that thing? Standard 2" ?
Yep 2”
Awesome video! I have a 2020 850 Assault 144. I want to put the RMK front end on as well can you give me the parts list and where you got them? Thanks!
Rmk spindle
Rmk upper and lower a arms
Rmk steering rods
Rmk shocks
I got all these at my local Polaris dealer!
Thanks!
if you didnt have a rmk would you ride that in the mountains ??
Absolutely!
Brett, what track are you running? 2” or the sks 2.25”. Thanks
2” track!
Awesome video...only downvote must've been a A/C rider 😂
Clearly 😂
Curious what you pole set up is on the front with the MAX?
A custom aluminum one I found online
Amazing camera work of some amazing riding!😎👍
Thank you!
Is that a red bull in the monster fridge?
Nope. Partake. Non alc. beer
Filmed an entire season's segment in one day!
You know me!
Beachcomber!!!
Sweet vid bro!
Thanks Travis!
Nice video Brett! Looked like a fun day!
It was awesome!
These things any good for wheelies lol
Haha huuuuuge wheelies
Tell us about those front shocks....
Fox QS3 coils! Super easy to setup and the most reliable shocks I’ve ever ridden!
What skis did you use ? Grippers ?
Matryx skis
Its kinda ugly tho.. the hood and so on.
Each to their own! I like the way it looks though!
man i gotta move out there or something
Yup
What riding area?
A location in the north Thompson valley near clearwater, I grew up riding these mountains as a kid
@@turcotte16 sweet! I’m on the Shuswap and can’t be thankful enough for all the amazing areas! Haven’t done Clearwater... yet. Thanks for the entertainment 🤙

Great vid dude keep them coming
Comin in hot!
Mint
Bad ass truck and sick sled!!
Wife’s truck!
Nice vid lookin so good on that sled
Thanks bro!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
So "RMK front end" means: Upper A-arms, Lower A-arms, Tie rods and spindles? What track do you have? Did you adjust limiter strap or front shock preload?
All a-arms, the taller RMK spindles, it has the 146x2” track!
Sickkkk 🔥🔥🔥
Nicely done!
Thank you!
You're an animal Brett! We love seeing you take a sled beyond what seems possible.
Thanks guys!! Always love seeing what’s really possible!
flips sled upside down in backcountry
damages sled transporting it down highway
Classic!
Awesome vid! Love the huge jumps in break in. Are you doing riding clinics?
