I popped my ear phones in to listen to this at work, and forgot I had left BBC radio 3 playing on my computer. So, for the first minute or so of the video there was a sound track of some sort of Gregorian chanting on in the background, and I was thinking: "This is a weird choice for a Q&A video...".

Just A Bird A big part of the reason that Republican support seems not to waver for Trump is because those who disagree are leaving the party. Yes, some new people are joining, but the party is about 3% down, and they are leaving because of Trump, which is actually pretty good.
Honestly, I’ve been saying this for 2 years. When the Democrats refused to accept that Hillary lost on her own and they seek to blame everyone but their weak, arrogant and incredibly unpopular candidate. They whine about Jill Stein, Bernie Bros and Russia.
What’s worse is that there is and always has been a problem with the US voting system. It’s a joke! Republicans a few years prior to 2016 actually gutted the Voting Rights Act via SCOTUS. Robert Mercer who is a wealthy Trump benefactor helped Trump disenfranchise even more voters with Interstate Crosscheck in some swing States. They’ve been ignoring these issues for 2 years to whine about Russia. (of which there is almost no proof of collusion aside from the same liars who lied about Saddam’s WMD insisting that they have “evidence”.) Yup! Trump is definitely going to win in 2020.
I agree with the sentiment that the Democratic establishment hasn't taken a good introspective look at why they lost. So far the party hasn't seem to make any changes that will energize their supporters besides simply resisting the Trump Administration. Though there are hints of change with wider support of free college education and universal healthcare.
I disagree with you about the Russian scandal. Whether or not the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government, the Russian government still interfered with our 2016 election with a massive disinformation campaign. Russian Hackers did hack into the DNC servers and did leak emails to wiki-leaks. All of this is corroborated by not just CIA (which admittedly have had a bad track record), but the FBI and the NSA. Foreign intelligence agencies such as the MI6 agree with our intelligence agencies. The Russian interference did impact our election. Did it change the actual end result of the election? I don't know. What everyone agrees on is that Russian will interfere in the 2018 mid-terms and the elections in other countries.
Just A Bird I’ll just say that you really should look at the so called evidence that has been presented before buying into their narrative. For staters, DNC enlisted a sketchy private company called Crowd Strike to look at their server before the FBI looked at them. Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity say that the DNC servers were accessed locally. I’d recommend that you look them up to see what they have to say about it.
As for the Intelligence community’s report, are you referring to the DNI report? I recall that it referenced Abby Martin’s show “Breaking the Set” amongst other leftist shows on RT America. Her show ended 2 years prior to the election and she totally debunked that report pretty handily.
My two biggest problems with the Russiagate narrative are two things. Whenever one narrative is debunked like hacking voting machines or the “17 Intelligence agencies” proved the Russian did it. They move the goalposts to another narrative. The other is far more insidious and disgusting since it more or less flirts with some of the ugliest of Cold War tactics of silence leftists: McCarthyism and COINTELPRO. Russiagate is being used to silence those who support the Standing Rock protests to Black Lives Matter to smearing former Presidential candidates as Russian stooges. (Namely, Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders)
I’m not saying that Russia or Putin are the good guys but I find it funny that he has become an enemy so quickly. In the late 90s Bill and Hillary would have personal get togethers with him and his wife. George W. Bush was friendly with him too until Putin criticized him for invading Iraq....
I forgot to add, their disinformation campaigns were some Facebook adds that came out after the election and some RUclips videos with 13 views...
Shaun, as a musician, I found the best way to solve the audio problem is the following: Write down the couple of sentences prior to your mess-up and recite them in sync with your other voice. Your voice will naturally match your recorded voice in both speed and modulation, and you will seamlessly flow into the next part of the audio clip. Then just lower the volume of your second recorded voice and boom. Nobody will be able to tell the difference.

Regarding your point on acceptance of universal healthcare, a March poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 59% of Americans support a national Medicare-for-all plan, and 38% oppose it, so it's actually an incredibly popular policy. The only reason the Dem party establishment opposes or waffles on it is because they know who pays for their campaigns.
Sometimes I wonder how much campaign contributions actually matter...

Leftie fans of Warhammer 40k are rare but we exist. I got into it when I was 15 or so (very much for "wow cool gun" reasons tbh) but I've shifted over time to appreciating the farcical nature of the whole setting.
The overlap of the Warhammer 40K fandom with Alt-Right and Anti-SJW crowd is honestly so depressing to me, and it's a part of the reasons why I don't really consider myself a fan anymore
I fell out of favour with 40k when I realised I could have all teh fun of the game with cardboard markers to represent the pieces and not have ot spend a fortune on silly models.
I feel like a significant number of the writers and designers are not in on the joke anymore.
I think that the fascism in Warhammer started as a joke...but then nobody got it. Then people started really not getting it.

Do any other Shaun fans not really mind Cinemasins that much and think the backlash to them is pretty pedantic and obnoxious? I can't be the only one.
It's definitely bad that they make up "sins" or play things out of context, but they really aren't that bad and they're obviously not meant to be taken as serious criticism, even if a lot of stupid RUclipsrs do take them seriously.
They might not be as cerebral as some of the other videos, but they sure are very entertaining! I'd love to see more of them, but I understand if he doesn't want to do them.

Really nice work. You are lucky because of who you are, because it gives you a relatively even playing field for the debates about minority issues (though of course an outsider opinion). You don't have to deal with the abuse and get bogged down with that. And also from a personal perspective, don't have to deal with discrimination every day. I personally like that your videos include clips of the other person. I feel that summarizing their arguments instead of showing them saying it will distance their words from them, and it tones down the emotional impact their words have. Directly seeing/hearing that person say hateful things gives the audience a direct view of the venom and strength they put into what they say and believe

Thank you for answering that question about wanting to make a youtube channel but being afraid that people won't like you, and sharing that you made videos with a double-digit subscriber count for two years. I've thought about writing a blog where I review stuff, for some time, and I've just taken the plunge and made it and started putting up posts, and now I'm feeling really discouraged and gloomy thinking that nobody is ever going to read anything I write and this whole thing is pointless. It's encouraging to hear a creator talk about having fun and learning a lot in creating their art even when you have an audience of your mum and your best friend and nobody else. It's one of those things you can tell yourself all day but it's 10x more effective to hear from someone else who went through that very thing.

Switching to monthly sounds like a great idea, altho as a supporter I don't expect every video you make to be long and dense to begin with. For your vegetarian diet, Ive been vegan 4 years and Im a powerlifter, try to eat Seitan for your main source of protein, eat soy sparingly, and eat a lot of rice, potatoes, nuts, and green veggies. I love hummus as a condiment too.

There is nothing wrong with liking Warhammer 40k, I also find it very intersting, but I think the way some people talk about it, they may have adapted some political ideas from it or had some right wing ideas from the start and feel reassured after seeing it.
It's funny and sad how many people miss the inherent joke of the Warhammer/40k worlds. Maybe it's been diluted as the various editions have come and gone, but at least there used to be a strong element of self parody to the fluff. All the grim dark was intentionally over the top. There's a Rambo expy, and Ork warbosses used to be named after Tory politicians.

The second time I gave into the veg diet was the charm for me so don't get discouraged. I actually went vegan a couple of months ago and that transition actually has been some work compared to going from omni to vegetarian, but it's worth it.
Never had cravings when I was vegetarian too, both times, when I cut out cheese and eggs tho, that's when I got some but I was prepared for it. Seriously don't give up.
Well, this is just nice. I hope we get to fifty million quickly.
