Argus 3 Pro review: coming soon!
Video created with DaVinci Reslove. Наука
Absolutely Epic Review especially when the car chases were happening and cars were launching over the roundabout impressive stuff. Not what you normally expect to see with a video camera review
Never a dull moment in his front yard.
I thought you were being facetious. Nope. 15:06 for anyone that wants to see Hollywood vs. Reality Car Jump.
definitely an interesting neighbourhood. made the review more exciting
This video is great. I came here for the RLC823A review, and was thoroughly entertained with all the action! lol In all seriousness, great review!
Thanks - more action here: ruclips.net/video/86m3c5h4Bxg/видео.html
@JohnReed I know right! Dude you have a gold mine!
As soon as I saw the roundabout, I thought "Is he in Carmel?" Then I saw the Indy EMS ambulance. Hello from Indianapolis! Thank you for this very thorough review, including the video clips.
Lawrence. Always something going in at the roundabout!
Damn, where does this guy live!!!?? He can make a TV show from just that corner....
Came here to watch a review. Got entertained for the rest of the day, awesome dude! 👌🏻👌🏻
I'm really looking forward to getting one of these cameras when they are finally in stock in Australia, great review and info, cheers
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Your review just help me make my decision to order one. 👍🏽 That’s a lot of excitement in that intersection
This has become my absolute favourite and most exciting camera review ever. Great action at the roundabout. I just ordered the brand new Reolink RLC-823S1 4K 8MP UHD camera and it's my first Reolink camera so I wanted to get an idea from your video what to expect and I learned a lot. I have several Tapo cameras that are really good but this new camera is much more expensive so I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Thanks for the great information.
The roundabout was hilarious 😂, thanks for the vid hust ordered 2 of these
Awesome video thanks! Loved the round a bout action!
Thanks for the review- your devotion to it in you driving to launch off the roundabout hill I will give 4/10 stars.
BEST VIEW EVER....to INCLUDE WRECKS AND POLICE CHASES.....I'M SUBSCRIBED. lol
Thank you for your video! OMG that speed chase and that accident was intense. Lol
love the sound of the motor when the camera twisting.. R2D2 like :D
you got some crazy stuff going on in your neighborhood! LOL
Ha! Yes - you should see the stuff I don't (can't) post!
Where the hell do you live. 😂
That is one interesting round about. I feel like you should just stream that one camera live 24/7 😀
This is some insane footage! My jaw actually dropped hahaha
Great action video! I would move. I have one of these monitoring a portion of my property. its a good camera but I would've like more zoom. Being able to zoom in at lets 15x is great. That location is crazy.
What an exciting place you live in!
Great video.. I was disappointed that I didn’t really see the zoom feature but the roundabouts made up for it. Local PD must know you by first name by now… lol
thank you for your review
Thanks for the great review and all the footage. It took a lot of time to put this together. Nice aluminum shims you made. I really like my Reolink cameras. I've had good customer service from them. I just got an 823A. I made a board so I could mount it on the corner of my garage. It's a great camera. I highly recommend it. The motor speed is super fast. The Guard Point, Preset Points and Patrol are spot on. One thing, it can look down below itself but I don't think it can auto track someone walking underneath it heading to my front door. It stops tracking vertically at about 30 degrees down or so. Reolink may update the firmware so it can track below itself. Mine does not have the beta pet detection. I saw on Reddit Reolink is working on a doorbell camera. I'm glad they are getting into that huge market. My wife hates roundabouts, I don't mind them IF people drive careful.
I just got the same camera, plugged it into my NVR and I’m only getting a black screen, it sees the camera is connected and good ip, but no video playback and no display on my screen from the NVR. My iphone app lets me live view it and ptz all works, but no playback like it’s not recording and not actually being recorded on the NVR. Any advice?
@@smallgarageguy7681 Did you get it figured out?
You got some GREAT FOOTAGE.
Bro wasn't kidding when he said the roundabout gets some action holy crap HAHAHAHA 😂😂 This video was already good but those car incidents next level 💀
Hi! very nice review
I want to ask something , when the camera is in patrol mode and it sence motion what it does, starts auto tracking and then continue to patrol or continue only to patrol?
With auto-zoom and auto-tracking, at what distance are license plates usually readable?
Great video, I have just purchased a 4k Poe system, can you please tell me if I can plug this from the RLC823A camera straight to the nvr, without this switch that various people have said about, many thanks
Nice review and camera but my cuestion is can you play the footage from ph and recorder after view on ph? And when is playback on ph and is tracking you here the noise of the camera? It is to loud?
I have the older 423 and I have it on patrol at night. Does auto tracking interrupt the patrol and lock onto a moving animal, person or car and then resume patrol afterwards? Would be nice to have to capture all the animals that walk through our backyard..
How does this compare to the duo you had at the same spot? It's so much smaller I'm thinking of just going with that for watching over my garage
G'day, I'm hoping to get one of these soon and probably the duel lensed unit a little while later. I don't get that much action with Vehicles. Foot traffic is another story.
currently have 12 cameras surrounding my place with the NVR-16. Lots of saved footage that I am slowly learning how to "edit" into short watchable files. Then I'll need to learn how to "Share" them.
1. Golf club through wall
2. Car break ins
3. Drug users at back door (needles)
4. Lots of fights
5. Car crashes. (one through my front gate)
6. Stolen cars
7. Domestic Violence
8. Graffiti
9. Armed gangs roaming the street looking for trouble
10. Police foot chase (my large dog wanted to join the chase)
The first 4 were in the first week of having the cameras (Easter 2020)
Hi what power capacity does POE injector wattage is needed ? Great video Thankyou
Ive been using the 811a cameras and I find that the quality doesn't really look like 4K so I was wondering if you have tried connecting a 4K monitor to the NVR or either a 4K monitor on your computer that can produce 4K to see if the footage looks like true 4K. I did some research and apparently to use a 4K monitor you need a newer computer that can produce 4K. Im looking at my footage on a monitor thats only capable of 1080p, so I was wondering if I upgraded my computer and monitor to 4K whether I could see Reolink footage in 4K.
Very helpful video, i wonder if it can be fixed on an external corner. cheers martin
I recently bought bought the 523wa, I was wondering how to stop the alerts from the street when cars pass .i greyed out or painted the part I don’t want alerts from the cars passing on the street
Just bought the camera and appreciated this review. HOWEVER, at 15:09, I think I'd be looking to sell the house and move. ha ha!! I hope they were OK. :) At 15:26 it looks like they don't know how to navigate a "round about"! Take care, and thanks again.
Yeah, been here almost 30 years. Idiots and drunks are always entertaining!
I have the older model and glad to see the new one has sound. I shall replace just for this reason.
Can the patrol option be set as to where it pans from side to side motion as opposed to a whole 360 rotation
15:08 nice Frame, Great Video
Two questions. Does it need an internet connection (aka phone home)? Does it support Onvif? It must be hard to sleep near that roundabout . Pretty exciting stuff.
If you were just dumping the video feed to an NVR then, you don’t need an Internet connection. But to view it outside of your network, then yes.
Let me verify if it supports ONVIF.
And yes, you get woken up from time to time and it is hard to get back to sleep.
I confirmed with Reolink that it does support ONVIF.
@@overclockersclub Thank you!
Wow... some Hollywood class action here!
Wow! Your roundabout might be better than that 11'8" Bridge! :)
This looks like a good camera. Can the white light and IR be set to off in the settings when using an RLN8-410 ?
I’m struggling to get any settings on mine. The app won’t let me use the 2 way audio or anything and the NVR only lets me turn the spot light off or on. Something isn’t right.
Hi Chris, Just picked this camera up on sale, But don't see anything to turn on auto tracking while in the menu. Setup is via Reolink NVR 4K 8 channel recorder, plus I can't get a picture on the TV which is the monitor, but I get an image on the cell phone ? Any ideas plz ?
G'day, I had a similar problem when I changed TV/Monitors, It turned out to be output resolution from the NVR was set too high for the screen. Went into the NVR settings and got it sorted out.
Can this camera change zoom level when tracking an object like Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IW-DE ??
Question...I've never owned a POE camera. I do not have an injector. Where this camera is going, I do have power and a cat6 lan cable there on a different camera. I do not need the injector, right? Just the dc power cable supplied, and my lan cable right? Thanks in advance. Look forward to more videos from you.
Correct - you can power it with an adapter.
That roundabout jump was epic 15:06 but hope they are OK. You can youtube search for roundabout accidents and there are some amazing air time jumps.
Crazy roundabout! Unbelievable. Like in the Hollywood scenes. Did any of the accidents get close to your door?
No - there is a fair amount of distance to my door as well as large trees.
Wow. Amazing real world examples 😅
Suppose I have an 8 channel Poe system but only use four cameras (the internet is connected), the remaining four ports....will they act like a switch if I used one for the television, one for the computer in the study, one for an access point and one for some other device?
No, they are isolated from the rest of your LAN. They’ll likely even have different IP numbering schemes
That gold!!
Hey, was wondering how you managed to turn on the auto tracking feature, I have the same camera but every time I try to go turn on the auto tracking in the app it says “failed to load”. Thanks
I usually keep it off - with all of the traffic and the roundabout, It really goes nuts. But I just turned it on to tested and it turns on fine and works properly.
Are you using an NVR? I just got this camera and plugged it into my NVR in an open slot, the lights flash like my other cameras and I can view it on my iphone app, but the camera is just a black screen on my monitor from my NVR and I can’t playback video, it says no video when I select the playback feature. It’s odd tho because my NVR sees the camera, shows the status with and active IP and shows me the PTZ control when I select the channel with the black screen, but no video display and no playback? Any help would be appreciated
@@smallgarageguy7681 have you had any luck getting it to show from the NVR
@@smallgarageguy7681 G'day, I had a similar problem when I changed TV/Monitors, It turned out to be output resolution from the NVR was set too high for the screen. Went into the NVR settings and got it sorted out.
They need to make the curbs on the round-a-bouts 12" tall so the drunks don't just drive off. Near us they all have 10 to 15' tall fountains or large rocks and landscaping in the center. I do like the PTZ camera you reviewed and need two but i'm not sure this is my top pick. You need to show how good the camera tracks a car and person. It's looks to be a bit jerky, move stop move stop and the zoom is a bit sad at only 5X. Thanks for the review.
I just bought this camera and I still haven't hooked it up, but my question is - can you manually pan, tilt and zoom? Or is this only for automatic tracking?
Yes, manual PTZ.
Came for a review and got a full on show 😂😂😂
That one car that launched it self was unreal. The other thing that is annoying is the noise that the camera makes when tracking. That can really wear on your nerves.
Appreciate this video. By any chance if you know specifically which NVR is compatible with this camera. Thank you.
I am using this one: ruclips.net/video/bQWnTncX71E/видео.html
@@overclockersclub Thanks for the info. I purchased the RLN8-410. Looks like I am set 🙂
I was wondering can I hook this camera up to my swann NVR to see it on my tv? Will I be able to see it through the swann app
Probably not, buy maybe. Reolink cameras generally don't work well outside of the Reolink platform - however if Swann is ONVIF compliant, it my work with some Reolink cameras that are also ONVIF compliant. ONVIF = Open Network Video Interface Forum. This is a standard that Reolink is starting to add to their cameras.
Holy SHI* dude. Lots of noise, its CRAZY there !
Dude where do you live, this is crazy! But good thing you have high quality cameras to record 😂
Do you have any more aluminium wedges?
What is the zoom like please you miss it out but love the video 👍
I have always run my cameras through an NVR, are these designed to just connect to a Poe hub ?
It will work either way. I am using 15 of the 16 channels and all are through external PoE switches. None are plugged into the NVR.
Can this cam recognise car plates at night while car is moving with lights on?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 those crashes were hilarious! Moar!
how long would a 256gb card last or does it just keep recording over its self
I just wondering how you connect that to the DVR all computer set up if you can make a video thank you
The camera is connected to a PoE (power over ethernet) switch and the NVR connects to the same switch.
wow you sure get some nasty drivers there ! Did you use an Android to do time lapse ? I got a Reolink 810a and timelapse never worked and customer service ended up telling me it only worked with Iphones ( I haven't tried it in awhile so don't know if they fixed that in their app). Anyway nice review - pricey but the features are cool . I am sort of surprised it doesn't have a dome though.
Is this camera ONVIF protocol, i have £20 indoor reolink camera connects the my DVR but this one is not, doesnt even appears on dvrs ip camera list, it's a bit disappointing really
How do you move the camera?
Can a Person at a distance of 5 Meters infront of the camera actually hear the PTZ Noise of the Camera? In the clips from a lot of users the PTZ is pretty loud when the camera turns or tilts. So how loud is this acutally from the outside?
It depends on where the camera is mounted. Outside - at 5m you probably can't hear it, especially if there is any ambient noise - which is likely outside. In a building or room where it is quiet, you might hear it. Where mine is, there is so much ambient noise that you could be a meter away and not hear it.
I can barely hear mine standing right under it
One would assume when talking about a PTZ camera, the pan, tilt along with the "ZOOM" would be featured. Maybe I missed the zoom test.
Well yes - that is certainly a fair assumption, but as I checked (it HAS to be in there!) I figured out that the zoom part didn't make to the final edit and unfortunately I can't add it. Sorry for that - but the 5X optical zoom is very nice. Of course the field of view takes a hit when you zoom in. I have to keep mine mostly zoomed out to capture the entire roundabout.
@@overclockersclub I'm just being nitpicky.
@@freddyfredrickson Actually I am glad you pointed that out. The Z is a key component of P-T-Z. Won't miss that on the next one!
Jesus man, no wonder you have so many cameras. You need to fortify that yard.
nice
How does this compare to the e1 pro ptz? I think it was called that you did a review on a while back
They are very different. E1 is indoor - 823 is an outdoor PoE camera. They are both good at what they do, but one is not really a substitute for the other.
POE cable what number is it?
overclockerclub but never no overclocking videos. anyway thumbs up from me.
If you need to plug into Ethernet anyways (because it needs to plug into the NVR) why would it have the option for a seperate power cable?
What benifit would it bring?
It gives you the option of using a non PoE switch. Why would you do that? You can access the camera as a stand alone in the phone app. I have mine plugged into a separate PoE switch - not directly to the NVR. This way I can access the camera as a stand alone camera. But the feed still goes to the NVR.
@@overclockersclub Thank you for the detailed explanation. So is an NVR needed at all for this camera?
Im still learning how all these things connect and I just purchased the 5mp WiFi version (though I obviously wanted the 4k model) just because I assumed you have to have an NVR to run this one.
Thanks again.
@@Atum_Ra NVR? Short answer - no. If the camera has a slot for SD card storage, then the video / motion events can be stored there. BUT if you want 24hr coverage, then you need the NVR. A PoE camera can be (typically) powered with a PoE switch, PoE injector or with a separate power supply / adapter. It can be tough to get all the motion detection settings where it will always capture what you want just using the SD card as storage.
With an NVR, it records everything, all the time.
I came for a review left with a few chuckles. The vehicle crashes and police chases were entirely worth watching this.
satisfied with its image quality but more than $200 for an ip camera, more expensive than my smartphone!😆 your location is also insane! too much footage in a short time!
Mans got so much action going on 🤣
Crazy 😱 views 👍🏽
Someone needs to tell the cat coming into the neighbourhood crossing the road, that the neighbourhood contains the most dangerous road junction on earth, where cars fly through the air and others leave the road for no reason!
Nice review though, with plenty of real world footage which is the one thing you can't get from spec sheets.
I didn’t know they were filming a movie 🤣🤣
1. Have you noticed that during patrol it only ever turns one way?!!? So it ends up filming the wall for a good amount of time during the 360 transition. For example it cannot look left > right > left > right . No setting to make it turn to the right. There is always something daft Reolink overlooks, its so frustrating they miss such low level vulnerabilities.
2. Additionally if you zoom max, 9/10 times it wont focus, you have to do it manually or nudge the zoom back out again.
3. Classic Reolink annoyance. If you add it to the NVR you cannot add it to the Alexa app / view on TV. If you add it standalone you have to use the SD slot but then you cant have simultaneous multiview playback on the client as its a separate device. Also when added to the NVR to get the best playback functions, you cannot share the camera.
4. The PTZ motors sound like you have nailed R2D2 to your wall. If you live in a quiet place its all you can hear walking about your garden, irritating after a while.
That is some awesome video. You should start a RUclips Channel.😁 You sold me. I just received a few to cover the 1 and half acre I'm on. From my understand, you can tie these into you perimeter lighting.
15:06 ate you kidding me???😂😂😂
nice live movie recording 15:03
Will this camera work with my POE Lorex system?
No
Jez, no wonder you got interested in camera recording lol - crazy drivers
A lot of dangerous drives, It is good that your house has a lot of trees in front.
Does anyone know how the Ethernet pins are set up? I have pre ran wire but no plugs on the ends meaning I have to add my own but don’t know what wire configuration is
Google 568A. You can terminate via either the 568A or 568B standard as long as both ends of the cable are terminated the same.
@@AlTaiRius yeah I found out the 568b is the one I need
Can you leave it with the other 2 cable exposed like that?
Short term, for testing - yes. Long term, no. I put plastic caps over the ends of any exposed cables on my outside cameras.
@@overclockersclub do u think the cable itself will be ok for years in the weater? i knw u gota have some sort of protection for the connecters itself
Bruh. This review was like an action movie
I am a camera ninja!
Dude. Wow. How often do people smash that round about???
Every month or so but there is a dry spell now so I expect some good ones soon.
😂😂😂 police , ambulance, fire brigade and then the cars crashing bloody hell what a lovely place 😂😂
How to hide that wiring??
can you use a joystick to control it?
thanks.
Not sure how to do that so I can't really answer.
Do you install these for customers?
Friends, yes - I don't have any customers...
12volt is that ac or dc?
