Yes I've experienced gaslighting from a family member during COVID lockdown and previously from an ex girlfriend several years ago,not good for mental health 🤯I'm pretty sure the family member has NPD (narssisistic personality disorder)but it look a long time to realise this so videos like this Jess are very helpful especially as many ppl have never heard of it, thankfully I'm feeling much better these days after ending contact with both,thanks Jessica,keep spreading the word ☺️👍xx

My last relationship that made me took a break from dating...
...This person had a PhD in "Gaslighting". Worst is, she would immediately accuse me of it. I never knew how bad it was, how much it had affected until few days ago, I had such event and realized how much I lost myself and self esteem.

I have been dealing with a sister who gaslights, plays victim and dont apologize. I am blaming myself for allowing this lady to treat me like this all these years . I will cut ties with her . I suffered because I thought she was my sisters. This video took me back there . No more today I cut her for good

Gaslighting operate even in churches; when members get repeatedly gaslighted, but at the end told to humble themselves, yet the abuser continues until he/she controls and manipulate the unfortunate at will, and sometimes clearly tells them hat he/she is annointed and untouchable. The abused feel that they are unacceptable to God and very sinful such that without the abuser, God Himself cannot be accessed. Gaslighters are not comfortable working with people with knowledge or great potential. It's pure evil.
I just got out of such a situation
I have experience it i called them out on it and i separated myself from them.
The very last part says "move closers to family and friends".
In my own situation, I have been gaslighted for a very long period of time by my own family. Gaslighted to the extent of isolating myself from friends of yesteryear. What do I do?

Every point you made is exactly what this abuser has been doing....thinking about it I don't even feel like a victim anymore.....because I allowed it to go on for years and never spoke up about it until a couple of months ago when I said enough was enough... and started to tell family, close friends and my dad what I had been through. So this video has helped me identify what it is.
So now I'm rather worried for this person.....can gaslighters be helped. Because this person in particular is a loved one(family) and I'm rather concerned this behaviour might destroy them or they might find another victim to prey on.
So my question is...are gaslighters sick....can they be helped.?

I fear I may be going through this right now and literally I am in fear of the situation cause of the severity of the situation I'm literally questioning my own intuitive nature, reality and if I may be loosing my mind to the fact of the evidence I strongly believe I've seen and noticed. But it seems to make no sense. And makes me see. Like the attacker in the situation. Which I truly don't think I am. But I'm not sure. My gut feeling tells me one thing + the evidence but I'm honestly ashamed to say I'm completely lost in it. I'm unsociable, feeling distracted, as if I'm being pulled away from myself. I literally believe I'm being gaslit making me completely uncertain
