"It's shop furniture...." I remember the days you were working in the basement with all the harbor freight stuff, so.... It's more than just shop furniture to you now! Lol. You come a long way. Mhmm...
David. Been watching you for a long time and this is the funniest video you've ever made. The mallet falling, dirty little slot, and mmm-hmmm...all hilarious!!!
Dan good job on the edits you brought the human factor back into the videos instead of the perfect professional “no mistakes that most RUclipsrs attempt to show
The "mmmhhmmmm" made the whole video. Great edits! Love the integrated router lift too. And yes, from one weirdo to another, shop furniture is supposed to look purdy.
Hadn’t thought of putting the router in the miter station, but I am considering putting the drill press in there. Mount the table solid and jack the post and head up and down. Thanks for the router idea!
That's awesome. I'm starting to design my miter station to build when the weather is warm enough to get back in my shop, and now I think I'm going to add that in from the begining.
I know shop projects aren't your favorite videos to make but they are always so inspiring to me. Always tempted to buy a bunch of walnut plywood and copy some of these builds. Really looking forward to your go-kart videos, though!
David, I just want to say that you are another reason why living in Ohio is awesome. I always learn a lot from your work and I have been trying to find a good solution for too many rolling things in my shop. This is a really elegant problem solving approach to space. Thanks!
Saucy. Loose. Cheeky. Relatable. Excited by this refreshed look from you. Props to you and camera dan. Keep the freshness coming. All the bits in this video (and that drilling oil bit from the corner table vid!) just lend a really refreshed feel to your style. It's an extra boost of authenticity. So good!
Absolutely fantastic! Love the energy, love the edits. Perfect representation of why this channel is the most fun woodworking channel on RUclips.... Can't we just have some fun?!
I really liked the Dan edit. As others had said it had the original Make Something feel but humanized things a little as well. Showing that you do things by trial and error! Keep up the great work. Stay passionate
High five to Dan! And one for David as well! I Ended up buying that same regular table and making sure it’s just like you did thanks for all the hard work and great videos
Camera Dan dun good. Also, putting that router lift in the miter saw station - genius. I'm gonna have to steal that idea if I ever get a real shop where I can have a router lift and miter saw station. Until then, I will live vicariously through these videos, quietly coveting your walnut shop furniture like some Fine Woodworking version of Gollum.
Great edit Dan! Feels like a make something video. David you seem empassioned and enthusiastic. Love what you do and can't wait to see all the cool stuff you may. Keep it up! Much love
Loved the video ! Great editing. It took you so many cuts to get the final fit to drop in the plate. That shows me I don't have to be perfect to get things to work. Watching you make errors and you forgot to figure in some steps gives me hope that we don't have to get things to work right the first time. Thanks for being real.
Love the new editing. Best on your channel. Love to see all the mistakes. Makes us believe that you tubers are real! Not just editing it all out. Nice router table. Love it!
Thanks ... this is very timely. I'm going to be using this for the project I've been planning for a couple months. Dan: great job. You and David are a TEAM!
Wait,.. not everything goes perfectly in a build?!! I for one, am shocked and appalled. J/K!! Thank you as always for sharing. Keep it up! I am enjoying the new work!!
I'm trying to talk myself into copying this. I've two of the big Triton plunge routers that are waiting for me to build router tables, and putting them in the ends of the miter saw benches might be the fastest way to get them both up and running in the school shop and maybe the home shop as well. Not sure why I am hesitating except that it's a new idea and because I tend to orbit all around the router table when I am working there. Have to examine my work flow and see if I REALLY need to be able to work from both ends of the table or if I just have bad habits. I'm hoping that you will knock out a couple of router based projects in the coming weeks because I'd like to see how this works out. My current Spring Break plan is to build router tables, but if this works, I have many other uses for my time! Anyway, great idea. Also, complements to CameraDan. The editing is certainly better than I can do!
3:50 "I will kill you..." ha ha ha. That had me rolling. Keep up the great edits, Dan! It's like frisky Picciuto from 2 years ago. ha
I loved Dan's edit. It still had a "Make something" feel but it had a more humanizing feel which added to the humor.
"Dirty little slots"
☺️
Dude that had me Rollin 🤣🤣🤭
Camera Dan did a good job. Good to see you back and bouncing again Dave.
Pro tip: telling your editor "don't put that in there" absolutely guarantees it will go in there.
Also, that's what she said
Do I like the new edits?
“Mhmmmmm”
John Schaefer hah
LMAO
"It's shop furniture...." I remember the days you were working in the basement with all the harbor freight stuff, so.... It's more than just shop furniture to you now! Lol. You come a long way. Mhmm...
David. Been watching you for a long time and this is the funniest video you've ever made. The mallet falling, dirty little slot, and mmm-hmmm...all hilarious!!!
Jonathan M couldn’t agree more!!! Hilarious
You should up your game and integrate some walnut into your shop too. Mmmhmmm
😆 “don’t put that in”
Don't put that in... Inserts it one hundred times over. I LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! Keep them coming.
Mm Hmmm
Camera Dan killed it! And this project was a lot less intrusive than I expected it to be from the beginning. Looks awesome!
Dan left in more goof ups it seems. I like that. Can’t wait to see your shop blinged up!
This might be what gets me a miter station and a router table. Great idea and the edit was spot on.
New corner is dope. Camera Dan is dope. His editing is dope. We're all sensitive people, with so much to give.
I felt your pain and frustration trying to drill that hole. Good job Camera Dan, I think we will keep you around for another week!
Camera Dan for pres!! Seriously way to go Dan!
love it Davie dog! Love the line.."if this doesn't work I'm quitting woodworking"...classic..
Hadn’t thought of putting the router in the miter station, but I am considering putting the drill press in there. Mount the table solid and jack the post and head up and down. Thanks for the router idea!
Holy crap! That Forstner bit is huge!
That's awesome. I'm starting to design my miter station to build when the weather is warm enough to get back in my shop, and now I think I'm going to add that in from the begining.
Dan, immediate promotion to Senior Editor for the use of that sound clip you artfully inserted. *Chef's Kiss*
A new thing. "Mmmhmm" your catch phrases are always on point David. Camera-man Dan rocked it for sure.
First I've seen putting router table in miter bench. I dig it. Nice work man.
Should've let Dan do the edits long ago 😉
Wow, I thought I was the only that couldn’t get the router cutout right on the first try. Good job...Dan
That's a really good use of your rockler router table hardware. The final result looks really awesome!
Cameraman Dan, great job! I like seeing yours and David's personality come through
Fun and informative. Thanks for the ride. Keep 'em coming. You and Dan are such a hoot!
Yahtzee.!!! Kudos to keeping the good humor in , the mistakes, and the frustration . Dan is finally paying off.
Hi Five Dan - Great work! (and the corner is cool too!)
✋
I gotta say - there was nothing wrong with the editing before, but this prime video editing here. Very well done!
Awesome edits! Glad to see I’m not the only one who says “If I don’t get this, I’m quitting woodworking”.
That is an awesome idea! Still can't believe the walnut plywood everywhere but hey why not!
I know shop projects aren't your favorite videos to make but they are always so inspiring to me. Always tempted to buy a bunch of walnut plywood and copy some of these builds.
Really looking forward to your go-kart videos, though!
He did a great job. Certainly kept the dynamic nature and the same pace of your previous videos. Give him the raise! :) Cheers
Cameraman Dan slayed it! High five! Nice job!
Dude..
Dan...
High fives bro!!
I like this editing better than the previous editing. It feels more personal. Keep it up!
The editing was fine. Give your Grandad a big hug.
It's great to see Fred Durst enjoying his woodworking. 😉
David, I just want to say that you are another reason why living in Ohio is awesome. I always learn a lot from your work and I have been trying to find a good solution for too many rolling things in my shop. This is a really elegant problem solving approach to space. Thanks!
1st off - high five 🖐 and 2nd - showing off the new corner is always a good reason to be filming there lol
Saucy. Loose. Cheeky. Relatable. Excited by this refreshed look from you. Props to you and camera dan. Keep the freshness coming. All the bits in this video (and that drilling oil bit from the corner table vid!) just lend a really refreshed feel to your style. It's an extra boost of authenticity. So good!
Love the new edits and the video. Came for wood shop, left with wood shop and comedy!
"This isn't wood working for Mere Mortals!" Lmao!
Rob Warner lol, I saw “Wood Whisperer”
@@johnwedebrook3696 Me too! I went back and watched that bit at half speed and my only conclusion is that he sounds drunk when you do that 😂
@@UnoriginalElephant well he was the Drunken Woodworker soooooo. Hahahahaha
Thanks for the transparency in your woodworking. Greatly appreciated 😀
Thumbs up for the ummm-hmmm.
I agree, it should become a thing in all videos going forward.
New catch phrase david?
@@mrsdjwildcat ummmm-hmmm.
@@7R15M3G1 Dude.... I smell a t-shirt idea right there!
Oh man, huge thumbs down for that one. Stellar vid for all except that annoying ummm-hmmmm.
Great editing Camera Dan! "Dirty little slots", rolling!
Tons of wall space over that miter station! Him! Love the idea all in one.
I love that there is minimal music in this vid. Thanks for that.
Glad you look like you're having fun enjoying the hobby again
Great edit, great humor 10/10 will watch again.
Absolutely fantastic! Love the energy, love the edits. Perfect representation of why this channel is the most fun woodworking channel on RUclips.... Can't we just have some fun?!
Good job Camera Dan! Good job Router Dave!
Nicely ummmmhmmmm done David!
This is slick! First time I’ve seen this idea and I tried to watch every miter station build on RUclips. Great idea!
Dan is killing it!
Great video again and the worktable setup gets more fancy every time. Nice
Very timely video, thanks Dave!
Editing was great, loved the energy. Also the entire idea of dropping the lift into an existing worktop makes tons of sense!
Glad you got the lift to fit so you didn't have to quit wood working.
Wow I'm impressed with the editing, give the editor a raise in pay.
Beautiful! That station is beautiful! 💯👍🏼👍🏼
That’s cool! In my shop, we combined the Outer with our table saw. It’s super nice!
Dan did great! Loved the "ummm-hmmm".
Comedy at is finest. This reminded me of Tim the tool man Taylor. Cool video and awesome project the end product looks exquisite.
"Mmmhmmm."
- David Piccuito
Camera Dan dun good. Also, putting that router lift in the miter saw station - genius. The corner is sweet!
Yes! This was fun, loose and passionate. Love it! Also, the saturated sweater was hilarious!
Love the new corner!
Dan was killing me with his editing that "mhmm" into everything pure perfection lol
Great edit Dan! Feels like a make something video. David you seem empassioned and enthusiastic. Love what you do and can't wait to see all the cool stuff you may. Keep it up! Much love
You could add a Mico fence to your miter saw stop block. Just a 1/2 or 1/4 inch lip that is parallel with the fence to catch and align long boards.
Awesome project! And VERY WELL DONE Dan! Had me cracking up the whole time! Great edit!
Ok loved this. The editing was great! Dan had fun with it :)
Project was really good
MmmmHmmm! Ingenious space saving there David! Watch out for those dirty little slots though. Well done on the edit Dan! - Jim
I'm digging the new talking head space.
Sincerely, I enjoyed the editing. Good job, Dan. 🤘
Amazing edit. And we got CAM OUT, baby!
Great editing, you macho sensitive men!
Love the new editing. Best on your channel. Love to see all the mistakes. Makes us believe that you tubers are real! Not just editing it all out. Nice router table. Love it!
Very slick install!
Holy Forstner Bits Batman!
Also good job Dan!
Thanks ... this is very timely. I'm going to be using this for the project I've been planning for a couple months. Dan: great job. You and David are a TEAM!
Great looking edit! Way to go Dan!
I am planning a similar build. Thanks for your video I have a better idea of what’s involved. And a good recommendation on parts.
Good stuff, my router is in a separate cabinet next to my miter saw too. Great idea to combine them to save space!
"if that doesn't fit, I'm quiting woodworking!" LOL!!!
Wait,.. not everything goes perfectly in a build?!! I for one, am shocked and appalled. J/K!! Thank you as always for sharing. Keep it up! I am enjoying the new work!!

Great space saving solution! Always enjoy your projects & videos. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us.
Been thinking about doing this very thing...thanks for the ideas!
"If It doesn't work, we're going to quit woodworking."
It really do be like that sometimes.
Great video!! I’m enjoying the energy and vibe of 2020. Great Job Dan! 👍🏼👍🏼
I love how it not only got put in but was added a few times mr mmmhmm lol.
