I'm trying to talk myself into copying this. I've two of the big Triton plunge routers that are waiting for me to build router tables, and putting them in the ends of the miter saw benches might be the fastest way to get them both up and running in the school shop and maybe the home shop as well. Not sure why I am hesitating except that it's a new idea and because I tend to orbit all around the router table when I am working there. Have to examine my work flow and see if I REALLY need to be able to work from both ends of the table or if I just have bad habits.
I'm hoping that you will knock out a couple of router based projects in the coming weeks because I'd like to see how this works out. My current Spring Break plan is to build router tables, but if this works, I have many other uses for my time!
Anyway, great idea. Also, complements to CameraDan. The editing is certainly better than I can do!
