    This so far my favorite “teaching” video on the channel. Explanations from Jenya are extremely helpful and very detailed and Jenya seems pretty confident in what she thinks is most important on a boulder. Just wow

    Really great content Hannah, Jenya provides fantastic coaching tips - 45 degrees of force into volumes. Love these collabs, it’s so relatable to see you progressing as a ‘normal’ climber trying and learning with this kind of input, I think it’s good for the 80% of us who are paddling the same boat.

    I love Jenya's attitude to climbing and her slab knowledge and teaching is second to none. It was fantastic to see your progress and confidence grow with each attempt. We all need a Jenya with us at the climbing gym 🤩

    Mate I really like what you do. This looks just like a personal training session, with a good teacher you really vibe with. It doesn't feel scripted at all and so much of it applies to my training.
    Also the faces you pull as you climb are everything. Very relatable

    This was awesome. Learned a ton from this, especially how Jenya analyzes the angle of force of the foot on volumes. And jeez, flashing that green problem was so impressive, that jump move was even sketchy for Jenya haha. Keep it up!!

    Great explanations. You want your foot as far as possible from the wall, so you can lean into the wall, and you want to apply pressure vertically onto the volume. However, what they didn’t tell you, is that both of these tips are contradictory as by moving the foot farther from the wall, the angle will become steeper or worse compared to the vertical degree. So it’s a trade off:
    You are slipping -> put your foot closer to the wall
    You are falling of the wall because you can’t lean into the wall -> put your foot farther from the wall.

    Man I love these MasterClass videos. I love slab, but I'm not so great at slab, but I want to be great at slab. Slab. I also love how down to earth Hannah is. Her fears are relatable (even though she crushes wayyyyyyyy harder than I do). Also Jenya 😍

    Jenya is a talented climber. I’m enjoying watching these videos as I have recently (2 weeks ago) have been hit by a lorry. Which I have been bruised and concussed from. These videos help as when I’m better I will put all of this valuable knowledge when I am back climbing. Thank you Hannah (which is also my name) 😊

    Jenya is awesome! BTW, for the last boulder... last sequence, J used the left foot up rather than right - push with right hand on the volume. Might make a difference.

    That was a super useful episode! I never thought about foot angle and I'm always uncertain about my foot slipping. Now i think I'll be more confident next time! Also Jenya is very cute, great smile. Cheers!

    Wow, Hannah really improved in trusting her feet. Especially in the last boulder! I think it will serve her well, because she had such good hip mobility. I foresee some great slabs in her future!

    Since i saw Jenya some years ago for the first time climbing in the ifsc worlcup, she is definitely one of my favorite female heroes. She and Staša Gejo. I can't really say why. I think they are both working really hard to stay where they're staying. Nice Video. Good Content here in general. Thanks

    Those looked like some tricky smears on that last problem! I feel like not trusting a foot becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy in those situations because it won't stick unless you put a good amount of weight into it

      I’ve been betrayed too many times by “a weighted foot never slips” hehe! Learning to trust my feet more and more though! I think learning how to fall properly has helped me work on the fear of trusting my feet too. ☺️
