I know, very dramatic title / thumbnail. I wish it wasn't necessary. The changes they made are absolutely mind-blowing. We were holding off judgement until we reached fully juiced maps but the difference is just absurd. Of course we aren't quitting "forever", we would love to come back as soon as possible, as soon as things change for the better. But as it stands no1 in my friend circle is motivated to even log in. What a sad day. I never thought I'd be so let down by a post from Chris himself. Thank you for watching 660+ path of exile highlights, hopefully I can make more in the future. Until then, I'm going to play something else.
It's crazy how impactful this change is and to GGG I feel as if it wouldn't matter which sucks. I want 3.13 back and the fun factor redeemed. It seems as if they want Difficulty>Grind>Fun and it should be reversed.
Heyhey Empy I'm a Lurker and RUclips watcher , I usually never comment on videos but I love what youre doing. A friend of mine and me took time off work to go for juicy maps this season and we absolutely got shit on. I love your videos and will watch every stream and video as far as I can from now on. I realized its you and not the game I love. The highlights youre posting are way better than playing this league and I hope GGG will listen to what you and your group said here. CU next stream for whatever youre doing
A couple years ago, without any thought but an open, happy heart, I posted a comment to one of your videos that read "The most important thing is to see you smile." You used it for the outro in the next video. I really meant that, that it's really nice to see someone else, even a perfect stranger, enjoy the game; that your good vibes are infectious; and that you have made the game more fun for many of us over the years. Today I had to see you frown, and that makes me really sad. :(
I totaly agree, I am so happy me and my favorite streamer dont have to risk dying to get 20c an hour. Hell I can run T1 strands all day and get the same loot as a T16 i dont even have to upgrade my character too.
Im also an alch-n-go, doing some yellow maps rn, but nowhere near 40c/hour :/, im using chaos recipe enhancer and all, poison BV, clears are pretty fast, but im having trouble keeping up maps, and i feel like i have no currency, i cant buy SHIT off the trade.
@@GustavoHenrique-sr5jw para de fazer chaos recipe em mapas amarelos, se a tua build conseguir, faz essences, e usa strongboxes para dropares 6sockets e venderes fusings early league
When they say "we playtested it" I see in my head Chris Wilson running trough ledge finding 2 alterations instead of the 1 alteration he found on the same spot last league thinking "man this is double already, this should be fine".
You meme, but having done QA in other games before, at least in my experience, high-end content was rarely tested due to not having pipelines set up to give testers access to endgame accounts.
Thanks for everything Empy & Crew. Your group content made me so excited each league to play PoE. The meme museums, the min maxed builds, the lootsplosions, the league content shenanigans, the group project memes, I'll miss all of it. You've done so much for the community Empy and myself and others can't thank you enough. -Life- Loot isn't fair.
Honestly f GGG I’m glad I quit I’m not complaining but I think people are tired of bs that ggg has been releasing. It’s no fun playing if you can’t even sustain alch and chisels lol and usually you could even currently in league last league was a blast got my 40/40 made a ton of money but I think I’m glad I didn’t play this league at all and thank you for everything empy loved your content and group play highlights Glhf to everyone that also played and is planning to quit
This comment touches on the main issue here... If GGG's intent was to 'balance' the game so mega juicing stuff is no longer possible for the 1% and so an 'average' player has a more 'consistent' experience, they have completely misunderstood their game. Each season I look forward to watching Empy and the crew ultra juice maps and get massive loot explosions as something to always aspire to as I progress through the league. That just isn't there anymore so there's nothing to really look forward to later in the league once my character is geared up and I'm doing more difficult content.. it's just not there.. so why keep playing if there's nothing to look forward to at the end game? The mud has dried.
You guys just like to complain about everything, Didn't you ask us to fix the lag in juiced maps ? well, there is no lag when you don't drop anything 5head. -Chris Wolcen.
I have played since closed beta and this is by far the saddest I have been thinking about the future of PoE. I usually give GGG the benefit of the doubt, but now I am at a loss for words. 20k+ hours logged in HC over the years and I am already done on Day 3...
exactly, ive always hated all the hate on poe this past year or so but this.......this is way to far, I started playing in 2014 and this is the first time I have felt that chris didnt have the best intentions of the game in mind. Its just so sad to see a game being ruined like this
Not a very old fan but i have watched you Empy for a couple years and you have made my day with all the dumb, fun, dramatic and memy things you offered us from a single game. I never thought it would come to this, keep your head up and don't lose motivation!
I am also extremely sad over the state of PoE. In the past few years they have done everything they can to delete creativity while making the game "harder." They have introduced more or less mandatory defense mechanics that feels unrewarding to invest into (spell suppression) and increased monster damage and life while nerfing damage across the board. As a result I haven't had a single successful giga meme build in over a year. I miss the old sandbox poe where ideas could carry a build if you did it right. I get the feeling that trying to merge poe with poe2 has been the biggest mistake in this games history. Should have made poe2 its own thing while keeping MTX imho. Nobody I know wants this "new" PoE.
Lol oh please. You guys are such drama queens. PoE now is in a much better state than it was in your "prime". Sorry people stopped watching your videos but its not because PoE is "worse". But because you were boring.
@@mp7311 I agree PoE is getting better with each league. It's the fun element and build originality that becomes worse. Meta builds were always the strongest (that's what I always started with to get currency) but if you knew the mechanics you could do endgame even with meme builds.
Your Wormblaster the Third build was what got me hooked in PoE. It was a creative, silly build that looked fun to play. Your content is a staple of what made PoE so great, player power, build diversity, and fun gameplay. Almost any build could work with an average budget so players could play what they wanted to play.
The contrast in the ambiance and voices between the opening clips and the current rift says it all. It's not even upsetting, just sad.. Thankfully there are other games around but this really sucks.
People are flaming the crap out of GGG on the forums, and I feel like they deserve quite a bit of the shit they get. Yes we would never achieve the kind of absurd amount of stuff Empy and the 5 man group were getting, but jeez, if they can't get anything out of something juiced to the roof, well you can bet your liver you will get jack shit out of your maps.
Like someone in those forums said: Imagine destroying loot drops completely for a new league, "reworking" old content so it's now a completely pointless waste of time, and then you CONVENIENTLY fail to mention these insanely huge changes at all in the patch notes, but you DO have the gall to mention the +2 range buff to Cleave(A skill nobody uses because it f*cking sucks). These people are unserious profit-seekers. That's the only way to put it. They really don't give a flying f*ck how enjoyable the game is to play at all.
@@Hooga89 That is why you have to stop playing. That is the only thing they will listen to. Chris mentions player retention all the time, that is the thing he cares most about. He doesn't want people to quit, he wants them hooked and addicted. He is like a drug lord. Slowly take away the things they like, make it harder to achieve so they will grind more and play longer and pay more money, that always seems to be the design philosophy GGG is going for. Yes sure when people achieved their goal for the league they stop playing but that is not a bad thing, we have a life outside of league, there are other things to do. But Chris doesn't want us to do anything else but play PoE. He wants us grinding and chasing gear until the last day of the league and then start again. Fuck that!
When the 6-man, fully stacked, insanely optimised group gets absolutely shafted by the lack of drops then what chance does the rest of the playerbase have?
6-man fully stacked insanely optimized groups got hit much, much harder than the rest of the playerbase, because that strategy goes all in on raw quantity/packsize stacking and almost completely ignores "reward based" content (which in a giga juiced map becomes too small a fraction to be relevant)... and the loot changes were specifically targeted to destroy generic quantity - most likely *exactly* because it was making content designed around specific rewards feel pointless (since you could just farm raw currency to buy these rewards instead, and past a certain threshold that would always be more efficient). Having said that: even if I'm not as negative on the *concept* behind what these changes are trying to do, not announcing these changes beforehand is a very, very questionable move, and as of now they simply moved the "pointless" needle to other kinds of content, which doesn't really solve the problem. (delirium in particular feels like complete bait now - too much effort just for cluster jewels, and simulacrum splinters seem to fall under the "generic loot" umbrella)
@@eugenebarrett As a semi-casual who managed to clear all content in most leagues using mostly meta builds I would say the following. If top 1% is not playing then where am I going to buy my infuenced six linked white socket astral plate with crucial mods? Am I going to make it myself? With so much less EVERYTHING (such as fossils) on the market? From where I sit it looks like the middle-class semi casuals are hit the most (as always). However, at least this time, they succeeded in hitting even the top 1%. Question is: was it worth it?
@@janpeszek5897 I fear a middle class that has grown used to buying everything suddenly being priced out of their usual solutions might be a problem that I'm far too SSF to really relate to. But yes, chances are you might have to make it yourself; figure out what's actually crucial, compromise on what isn't, hunt your own fossils with a knife if needed be, etc.
I understand how frustrating this was when it happened but I want to let people who come across this video now like how I did again, poe is back to a pretty good state. Even this league, affliction, has been the most profitable league for empy and his group. Rough patches happen but Poe is still worth getting into today
Man, you CAN provide a possitive environment for people to chill. And you will do this. It's not about the game, we come here for you man. Just be yourself and play whatever, we will be here for you. Things will be better, just keep being you.
Never thought I would see one of the most positive and fun streamers be so down about what he's been enjoying for years. Keep your head up Mr Streamer!
This is the guy who told his viewers "life isn't fair" when he was in a streamer queue and nobody else could log in. Then compared them to kids dying in Africa. Such a positive streamer, surely this isn't at all hypocrisy at the highest level. /s Karma served. Don't reinstall the game Empy.

HE DESERVES TO GO TO HELL Like wtf bro, there's something that impacts some peoples fun over a couple of hours and making fun of it, and there's something that affects everyones fun for a couple of months (or more if they don't fix it lmao)
Don't blame you one bit. Took 2 days for me to decide to quit as well. I don't want a second job, I wanted to have fun. They took out the fun, turned the game into a job, and expect people to stick around? Lol, no.
At least i know that working a full time job pay off. This is like working full time and the company gives you enough to buy food so you dont starve to death while working for them. And every 3 month they cut down your paycheck so you have to work more for your food.
It used to be fun and chill to me, started in 2010'ish, and the game is so power-creeped out now that it's a whole other beast. Because of the small percent of 80 hours/week players complaining that it's too easy, everything get's nerfed/enemies buffed to the point of just wtf.
their "vision" for the game is just a shield for when they make bad decisions and don't want to backtrack on them because it makes them look bad. As soon as developers start shadow patching nerfs you have a problem, look at BHVR and Dead by Daylight.
No it isnt a shield. There is a consistent trend in their changes, chrust wants game to be longer and harder and he has been atempting to do so for years.
@@turbanheadless Chris even knew this would the reaction and doesnt really care - why else talk to Josh Strife Hays and say "10K players is just fine" in a BS interview in the weeks leading up to the league?

This is crushing. There were many leagues over the span of the past decade where the game just didn't do it for me, but I always enjoyed watching your streams and YT posts, especially your end of league projects with friends, in my down time. In a few leagues it was the only thing that kept me connected to the PoE experience and brought me back for later leagues. Hopefully they recognize the damage they did and find a middle ground, but until that time, I look forward to your new adventures! Keep spreading those good vibes :D
@@robertwatkins4121 I mean considering you could consistently drop 1ex every 7 white maps with sentinels I disagree. Not to mention the indirect card drops they give you.
I'm a casual that only really got back into it since 3.17. the altas changes made so much sense It was easy to get into the game as a new player. I don't know what they did, but even as a casual with a noob SSF traps build I was averaging 7 maps return per map, and that's on just single alch'd maps nothing else i didn't even know what scarabs or frags did! it felt great and addictive to be able to run a ton a maps knowing i would not get starved and could search for gear. WTF did they do? I refuse to believe it was tested. For you guys at the very top to get screwed bad is one thing, but the down stream effect to us casuals is just as bad, I can't even afford to alch a map! whats the point? where's the fun gone? EDIT: whatever they changed in patch "f" has made it much better btw it feels good again.
Big agree, uniques are highly overpriced because vets barely find any, currency is extremely low droprate all around the game. Even finding linked gear or linking sockets is much harder now.
What are you playing so you can't afford to alch a map? SSF lightning trap, T8 maps, about 50 atlas tree points, alched every map I ran and there's 50 more remaining, which is better than last league by about 20
@@wumi2419 i'm not just alc starved, I'm everything starved (apart from armour scraps + whetstones) I'm map starved mostly. Last League was amazing for me I averaged 7 maps return on every map. @@BuzzaB77 I can see it being broken when expecting high returns with uber strict filter. Watching the slow trainwreck of POE by a constantly disconnected dev team hurts me so deeply, it was my favorite game for so many years. No other ARPG could even come close to being a POE killer so GGG went and killed it on their own. I quit playing POE a long time ago but watching your content was still always so much fun. I hope you find other fun games to play.
@@THEVINI3011 yeah how dare people voice their opinions. After all GGG is part tencent now, so we shouldn't talk bad about our overlords. China number one!
This was a very emotional video. You can see and hear how much these decisions impacted all of you. I hope you guys can find something else that is just as fun to you. Much love
Best part of the league is watching you guys farm, I play SSF so it’s like seeing a different game. The team and banta is great and excellent viewing. If you are doing something else I hope it’s you all playing together
Last league was the first league I ever farmed a full mirror with a very minmaxed Int-Stacker build (not the 300mil dps mirror tier wand+squire 10link stuff, but a regular one with like 100mil dps) which literally cost me like 2-3 mirrors worth of exalts too. I had so much fun that league and sentinels, played like 6-8 hours every day til the end of the league. That last time I had so much fun and playtime was in ritual league. And then the sad nem3 and fractured map nerfs incident happend. I read the patchnotes for lake of kalandra and thought, that it would be fine, the exalt-divine change would be a little hard, because there is only one divine card and no shards for divines(and ex shards were big. Running a rusted harbi scarab, and occasionally a gilded one when you hit the sextant, yielded so many passively generated ex, more than solo farming for some cards without a high investment). I was excited for a new economy and how items would be priced. The league started, i hate leveling, but i pulled through, saw the first guys in maps and got scared, no loot, map sustain on the lower end, not even enough alchs to alch and go maps. Now ex are at 7c, thats nearly half the price of the expedition map craft (LUL), so its cheaper to slam maps than use the map device. I'm always following your streams at the start of the league, because your group is always an inspiration for me to "adept" your strategies as a solo player, with lower investment, but still good income and seeing you so disappointed was really sad and it kinda killed my mood for the league as well. Tried some juice things in standard, and getting like nothing is soo fucking bad. I can understand, that ggg wants to slow down the game for poe2 and it got out of hand over the last years, but why are they always introducing speed clear leagues, when they want to slow down the game. It all started in 3.0 with abyss. To slow to kill? No chest or depth. Legion, no time to clear 3 screens in 10 seconds? No loot for you. Delirium, run b1tch or you wont even get a scroll. They made the playerplase to adapt to all their mechanics with speedclear builds, they basically formed their playerbase to play fast and efficent. And now, without any communication that they reduced the loot to like 5% will crack up the community, with only the real hardcore fans being still in the game. I cant imagine how the game feels for a casual or midtier player, who normally wouldnt farm at least 2-3 exalts (divine) per hour. They dont get gear, they cant progress in the atlas and they cant even make a small amount of currency to at least trade for some basic items for their build.. Sad times. I hope that you will find something else in the meantime, and when youre back to poe, I will be lurking.
GGG's heard people complaining about the 1% players that have all the money all the gear and make more in one map than some will make in a leauge. They addressed those concerns by making endgame so unbearably unrewarding that the 1% players refuse to play it
That's a good thing. This team used to make more currency in a single run than most players make in an entire league. It totally unbalances the economy. 99.9% of players aren't able to get a dedicated farming team like this even if they had the time.
@@TeleologicalConsistency Yeah and if the team that fully maxes out farming to make as much currency as possible makes barely anything and actually goes into the negatives when doing end game maps, then what will happen to the 99.9% of the players who already weren't making much loot before this league
@@Breakbeat. man i know.... it's tragic. poe used to be so much fun. you just make whatever u wanted and do kinda ok with it and even do really well with it if you invested a reasonable amount in. now it's a second job with little to no payoff that forces you to play whatever is meta otherwise you'll never progress. it's so sad.
This video hit hard. As an SSF player my experience can feel very isolated at times. Didn't fully understand how bad shut was overall. Really hope GGG responds asap
taking it slow this league because of job but its horrendous at act 5 with no basic currency maybe half an alc and some alt's 0 chaos 0 regrets got a unique staff as a drop and thats it really slow progression if you are not playing a meta skill i just hope they fix this by the time I get to maps since this basically made the game 10x more grindy with no guaranteed currency along the way. forgot to say rip lighty and all the masochists trying to collect uniquest in ssf ;__;
I used to love this game, im from South America and i learned english only to can play this wonderfull game with this amazin server and helpfull. thanks for this kind of negative coverage from a HUGE fucking streamer in the community. it's really important big names speak up and not just people like me on reddit about how fucking horrible so many changes to the game are especially in the wake of chris's awful response to all the criticisms and frustrations. I'd really like all the big streamers to just acknowledge all the fucking awful antifun anti casual, and even anti 1% juicer changes and express in whatever way they can (some people cant quit cuz its their entire job) some amount of serious negativity about it.
Its in leagues (beta testing for free).. not the game.. idk why people began assuming leagues was poe. They should stop letting people carry things over to regular game.

Damn, I wish I had discovered ya'll leagues ago. Those old clips were great and I would've loved to have known even a bit about juicing methods. Here's hoping GGG does something positive.
It’s insane how bad these changes are. Not sure why developers feel the need to implement things they “think” the community needs or wants but then they end up getting feedback on how much of a dumpster fire it was. The transition from exalts to divine orbs is terrible, harvest changes are terrible, beyond is terrible. Wonder what else they’ll fuck up and realize they shouldn’t have messed with it. Godspeed Empy.
This was not a stealth change. They said that the algorithm for loot drops got changed, so that powerful rares give more currency. Of course, this is not the case and it will get fixed or reverted. But it will take some time.
@@mrfreeman2911 I didnt say that they said : we will revert our algorithm, this is more like my copium take. (aka lets hope it will get fixed soon). The best part about a new league is watching your group's loot explosion everytime you exit a temple waiting for something expensive to drop. I guess we will see you guys again when GGG fixes this, if they ever do that...
Imagine usually getting more in a few maps than most get in years prior, then still going to (this league) averaging way more than most players do daily and being upset cause you don't make 10mirrors a day.
They fixed their game actually. Its more for casual players like myself now. I made about 30 divs + my gear in the weeks that I actually played the league. I got my first level 100 and I am up to 38 league challenges. I usually quit around 5-7 challenges. This have been the best "new start" for me in the game in years. I hope ggg dont listen to you whiney wankrs when they drop 4.0.
It’s literally a targeted change specifically to stop you from doing what you do. It’s only the biggest change ever for you in particular. Vast majority of the player base does not MF + 6 party juice their content, yet everyone is impacted by the economy being flooded with currency from these. You may not like it, but don’t act like this is a problem for most players.
Nonsense, it's a PVE game, who cares if some group is making the hardest maps in the game and being rewarded for it? Got some convoluted reason why it somehow impacts you? Play SSF, solved.
You know... even as a veteran that has been playing since early open beta and I could finally come back to PoE after 5 leagues, I was having issues killing some rares in the campaign and I did think maybe my damage and HP were bad cause leveling poorly. Glad to know the pros did the math for me and yup, I agree. It looks terrible.
Honestly, its better this way. Makes finding currency and items finally much harder and therefore rewarding. No longer a million of the same builds running around. No one should've been able to get to end game the first day or few of league... No one should've earned several mirrors if not tens/hundreds of mirrors in a single league. Don't pretend like the game wasn't so broken it wasn't even challenging or fun anymore. If the game was the other way around and it went from hard AF to gear to how it used to be, everyone would be complaining they ruined the game. Not even back in D2 days would you ever find so much wealth in a single day, let alone every single day of the league... the game was completely balanced, and we all loved the grind and when finding a high rune, or a near/perfectly rolled item it felt extremely rewarding. You guys found a loophole in the game and exploited it and taught bots/resellers how to farm the game beyond reasonable measures and basically ruined the game. Literally every league was beatable in the first few days and therefore majority would quit with in the first 2 weeks.

I really looked forward to playing PoE, haven't started the league yet, and if GGG doesn't revert or substancially change the league, I guess I won't be playing this league. I don't know what GGG was doing when developing, planning and testing the recent leagues. Don't get me wrong, I had an absolute blast playing Sentinel, but in the beginning the addition of the Archnemesis mods didn't feel good, didn't make the game more rewarding, didn't add needed stuff to PoE. Now I really don't fucking know when they thought to themselves when designing Lake of Kalandra? Do you really not like your game? Why destroy something you worked years and years on, making huge advancements in gameplay, adding a huge amount of fun content? I just can't understand that. But ok, people make mistakes, every league there were changes to new mechanics, improvements (e.g. increasing rewards in delirium, toning down archnemesis in sentinel, etc.), but why not admit it and change, why double down on "this is a good change"?????? I can’t think of another company that has a game that the player base really like and purposefully turn it into shit because the ego is too fucking out of this world.
Man i used to have fun playing this game when my friend and i got my aurabot up and running doing the league after heist, and we had so much more fun than playing 2 dps builds trying to not inconvenience each other. Then the league right after aurabots was nerfed into the ground and we both just quit completely. It really feels like GGG is balancing based on, " NO FUN ALLOWED " The league i enjoy'd the most was harvest because for once i could get into red maps and see how end game looks like. Never reached that since.
I can understand the direction they want to take Poe pre poe2. I can see how they want loot to work and think it could be done right but there needs to be more testing before it touches live servers. The changes are to night and day all at once. They need to slow nerfs to drop , in order for their dreams of Poe drops to work they will need to head down a more targeted loot pool. I personally didn't play this league but I've watched content creators play and share opinions (I often do this and start leagues 3 days late intentionally). We just need to hang in there , they are changing things over time and although this was a painful experience they are making changes in the direction of improving and correcting. Content creators and forums are the avenues to voice constructive feedback. Chris does a wonderful job communicating with the community and always addresses their mistakes and don't hide from it. A change shouldn't be met with quitting though as that truly hurts development funding. It's just an all around hot seat and GGG is sitting in it with us players and are trying! We've had the pleasure of sooooo much content (free to alot of people) with much more to come. Work with ggg and not against.. we have one of the best communities out there. Remind them that!
This change will lead to a stronger economy, and the inflation rate will be way much on the control. And party players will no be able to completly get monopoly over the Poe market. And actually league mechanics will get more rewarding especially for solo player's
It's interesting to be on the side (for once) that is just happy "enough" with the game as it is. I haven't enjoyed any league after heist, absolutely HATED archnemesis anything, but that had been toned down enough to not annoy the shit out of me 24/7. It absolutely still needs work, don't get me wrong, but at least im actually playing now. Not to say it isn't an issue, but the loot changes didn't bother me much. My biggest gripe is harvest. I was excited at first, but then learned just how nerfed it was. I wouldn't bother with it in future trade leagues as it is. In SSF, I only can see myself using it for fractures, enchants, and possibly some reforging of clusters or similar where fossils aren't ideal, or essences don't work at all. Additionally, I basically never get t4 seeds. Happened twice, in many harvests, with all the atlas passives. Can't believe that was actually buffed; now I know why I never saw one after hundreds of hours in previous patches. When harvest was introduced, it was an SSF dream. I never had more fun with the game. I had a folder full of screenshot items with notes for future harvest crafting. I was REALLY involved with that mechanic. GGG seems to hate it though. Literally and very seriously.
The way Chris talks usually gives off the feeling approximately like: "can these god damned players stop breaking the game and play it like it should be played?" It's very much the motivation of hardmode, so that whatever idea of fun he has can be enforced. Well, great news, hardmode arrived early.
I came across with your work on ultimatum league (with all the crap that happened there) and since that I grew respect for you and the crew you play along. I've learned a lot here and 13min17sec is truly sad :/ I just hope they will revert some of this shit
I posted in one of Snap's videos at the beginning of the league that I wasn't optimistic about the shift to Divine and while I was expecting a rough economy, this wasn't precisely what I meant but nonetheless it's very disappointing to see this. Whether it be the top end of competitive PoE in the form of players such as Ben choosing to just stop playing or group players such as Empyrian, Snap, etc. I hope that this is fixed swiftly and if not, it was fun while it lasted. Good luck guys.
it is what it is, just because you arent making 10x your investment dont mean its game over. IMO its way more balanced now as compared to people like me who dont spend all day running 200+ c maps.
I'm not sure why you think that your loot will be close to what it was last league. If 6 players are making a profit of what a solo player was making last league, the solo player is probably making much, much less.
Funny right? item fiding is harder now I guess.. but doesn't that make it more rewarding when you actually find an item? Im not sure about you but Im from d2 and grinding games like this is about killing monsters over and over and finding nothing, then one day get a gg item. I have been saying to my buddies who play POE that this game is far too easy to loot up in 1 or 2 days. In order to keep people playing you must make them earn the loot, its not about juicing maps over and over.. its about playing more and more and hoping to find a gg item. Now this is also subjective, I do think that some rare mobs are FAR to hard to kill... but that dont mean bump up the rewards on them.
@@fabbiotimpano I suppose it would be more rewarding to find a good item, but the gameplay isn't as fun. A lot of people play PoE because you can kill mobs at a really fast pace. Slowing down the players takes the fun out of the game for a lot of people. Also, most people were not looting up to end-game shit in 1 or 2 days lol (unless they were running in a 6 man group and playing for 15 hours per day). In order to keep people playing, the game must be fun. Killing the fun of the game isn't good for player retention.
@@matthewjohnson6280 people are in it for the wrong reasons then. Everyone knows that if you aren't a streamer and playing this everyday you are already at a disadvantage.
I keep checking forums every now and then for a new Wormblaster build, always makes me sad that there is none.

-fun

Now I barely get 1.
It's not just me saying it everyone said there's no alchs dropping. You must have got very lucky, did you not watch this video 6 man crew who run the most juiced maps in the world got 1 map back after investing 240c the other day (before they quit).

I can't say I'm more map starved than in any other league, leaguestart is always like that until you get a backlog and variations start to average out. Watching the slow trainwreck of POE by a constantly disconnected dev team hurts me so deeply, it was my favorite game for so many years. Should make "3.19" out of Mirrors in the Stash. Or perhaps Portal Scrolls, to be more accurate.
a sad day, indeed
… the god gamer mammoth came to pay respects? This truly is a sad day.
I asked Empyrian on stream to compare the rewards in a stash tab with previous leagues, and the result speaks for itself. Really good content, ty!
While simultaneously managing to make the game stale to the other 99% of players at the same time.
@@TeleologicalConsistency Yeah and if the team that fully maxes out farming to make as much currency as possible makes barely anything and actually goes into the negatives when doing end game maps, then what will happen to the 99.9% of the players who already weren't making much loot before this league

Its in leagues (beta testing for free).. not the game.. idk why people began assuming leagues was poe. They should stop letting people carry things over to regular game.
I quit myself few leagues ago. The fun builds got ruined. The fun chase uniques got nerfed. The playstyle moved more towards hardcore. It's their "vision" but it's also killing their game. Good luck to them.

Godspeed Empy.
the worst part is people are defending this and overlooking the fact a major part of the game was stealth changed
Those people are probably not mapping or got lucky. Give it a week and they will say the same.
This was not a stealth change. They said that the algorithm for loot drops got changed, so that powerful rares give more currency. Of course, this is not the case and it will get fixed or reverted. But it will take some time.
@@GE_Photon_Lord show the patch note where it said this.

Forces you to actually build a character and focus on it. The game was broken before...the people complaining are the people selling the in-game currency for real cash.
Totally agree with your take.

The league i enjoy'd the most was harvest because for once i could get into red maps and see how end game looks like.
Dude i hate to see it and hope they come around fast, you always made me smile. Thanks for that.
This change will lead to a stronger economy, and the inflation rate will be way much on the control. And party players will no be able to completly get monopoly over the Poe market. And actually league mechanics will get more rewarding especially for solo player's
Excited for you to make content about path of exile 2 or diablo iv in the future!
Did you maybe put those quantity reducing jewels like in that test for loot 2.0 a couple of years back lol
I've learned a lot here and 13min17sec is truly sad :/
I just hope they will revert some of this shit
If 6 players are making a profit of what a solo player was making last league, the solo player is probably making much, much less.
do you think putting a ton of investment into a map shouldn't give you a ton of return? I'm sorry about the brain damage.
Why? because originally in Poe the more you play early on the league the better. Now it feels like I can jump on for a few hours after work and still get a rand GG item drop.
All these dumb videos are of people following what the streamers feel and realistically it's better for everyone else, it's weird.
