    It's strange that when a German company (Volkswagen) said that they made a low emission diesel engine, no one bats an eye, but when a Chinese company says they have an EV with 1000 range, "they must be lying." We need to scientifically test things rather than jumping to conclusions, based on biases and stereotypes.

      While it won't be easily accessible at first having chinese cars surpassing european standards is importand for the lowering of costs and increase in efficiency! As a customer all I want is an efficient safe car, no touchscreens unless it's FSD and no low heights 😂 And that does not mean monster truck/mountains you can only drive outside of civilization...

    It is frustrating when the narration bounces back and forth between "miles-per-charge" and "kilometers-per-charge" as it suits. Keep in mind 1000 km equals 621.4 miles whereas 1000 miles equals 1609.3 kilometers. Quite a difference. None-the-less it is encouraging to witness steady and strong improvements in battery technologies. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.

      Yeah, the actual number if 1008km on the standardized NEDC loop, but the narrator is from south of our border so he constantly slips and says miles.

    The narration and in-video titles say 1000 miles. If it's 1000 km or 621 miles on the range test used in China, it would be about 500 miles using the EPA test cycle. The Lucid Air Dreak Edition has better range. the Model Y has a better range per kg of vehicle mass.

      EV car manufacturers always inflate their numbers. The whatever maximum range they claim is basically their "ideal" conditions (flat, perfectly paved track in warm weather, driving 35mph with no AC or any other accessory turned on). Tesla's number is often only 80 to 90% of what they claimed. Other EV manufacturers basically inflate their number by a crazy 30 to 50%.

    • @kpokfposkf
      @kpokfposkf 2 года назад +5

      Not really, keep in mind this is a huge battery pack (144.4kwh). There is a real world test that went on a 600km road trip, by the end of the round trip it still had 21% battery charge left. It was projected to go 1010km in mixed driving between 3 different drivers calculated during the 300km mark. Full on highway speed was still expected to go 816km, plus this battery technology performs better in winter than any other brands as of right now. There is another video in Chinese that talked about their technological breakthroughs, 50 new patents, 5 years of testing and passes all safety and puncture tests etc. We need more companies like this that increases battery density and charging efficiency. Tesla is definitely sleeping on new product lines instead of R&D. It's just a matter of time before other companies catches up, this will be an ultra competitive industry.

    • @CaptHollister
      @CaptHollister 2 года назад +3

      @@gyroplane Du calme. L'autonomie des véhicules électrique est calculée sur un cycle normalisé, un peu comme la consommation des voitures a combustion. Avec une batterie de 144 kw, ce n'est pas difficile de croire qu'elle puisse atteindre 1000km d'autonomie lors des tests NEDC (qui de toute façon sont moins strictes que les tests de l'EPA aux États-Unis). Tout comme la consommation de carburant des véhicules a combustion interne est toujours supérieure dans la vraie vie a celle atteinte lors des tests de certification, on peut s'attendre a ce que l'autonomie de cette voiture soit inférieure en vrai, ce qui ne l'empêche pas d'être la 1ere a réussir 1000km selon les tests NEDC. En clair, ces tests sont utiles pour comparer diverses voitures entre elles, et on peut s'attendre a ce que son autonomie dans des conditions plus réalistes reste supérieure a celle de voitures dont l'autonomie lors des tests NEDC est inférieure.
