Thank you for clicking on this video!
This video offers a brief introduction to all Chinese cars you might see on the road. It's my first long-form video, which took me 2 months to make. If this video flops, I'll have to rethink my life decisions...
I forgot to mention a quite important brand in this video, but I've made an amendment with a standalone video, which you can watch using the link above.

your english really got better, we notice!
This is fascinating, thank you. It seems like passenger car competition is fierce right now. It would be interesting to see an update in maybe 5 years on who's come out on top. Also, why so few performance cars?
Most people in China love SUVs and MPVs. They would easily trade performance for extra size, extra range, a refrigerator, or in-car karaoke because of cultural preferences. Performance cars just won’t sell much. Also, the emission tax rate skyrockets when the engine is above 2.0L, making it not cost-effective to go over 2.0T.
genuinely an enjoyable watch, never realised how many chinese vehicles i see on a daily basis
I'm from central Europe and I've only seen Chinese cars very sparingly, mostly Dongfeng
You have quickly become my favorite Chinese source online. Thank you for your content, keep up the great work! ❤
Thanks for your support!

thanks!
Chinese cars recently became very popular in Russia. Good to know more about them!
I've never thought about how weird it is that the US doesn't really see new car brands often. We've pretty much stuck to the same 8 or so for decades
(Tesla was made by a billionaire it's an exception.)
speaking of tesla, it's funny how everyone calls them innovative when China has been making similar quality EVs since the mid 2010s
This video is so underrated, it's definitely very helpful for outsiders to understand chinese domestic auto industry. keep up the good work!
It's really interesting to learn about foreign car industries thank you for making such a detailed video!
This only has thirty views? Cause it's a great video
Thanks for the support! RUclips sometimes only promotes a video after months. Plus, I admit this video is quite boring unless the audience is extremely interested in the topic. 😂
@@zqpleo well luckily i'm a big fan of hearing about Chinese cars, because around where I am I have yet to see one, but there are surprisingly so many.
@@INI_StxrK Wow! This video is fascinating!! I'm a recent Product Design grad, and even though I have no experience with automotive design, this video is really cool because I get to see all the variety of designs and use cases. I love the pacing, the humor, and how well everything is presented. Also, I love that the pickup truck destroyed a dragon 🚛🐉💥
I think a good video idea would be about Chinese food, coming from 陕西 it’s interesting how people have no idea that the regions of china have different cuisine! So I think that would be very interesting explaining Chinese brands of fast food or foreign companies like 星巴克. Good luck.👍
@@humbleopionist4366working on that. Currently editing my video about Whenzhou where i went in person. Definitely I'll can introduce food from different regions too.
There’s a Baojin Kiwi EV in the thumbnail but not a 10:43? It was only by your thumbnail I realized I saw a Tobot toy that was remade to look like a Kiwi, together with a car that used to be a Kia K5.
Yeah, I realize that. I made the thumbnail after completing the video and I thought Kiwi was a bizarre-looking car, good for the thumbnail. I can’t talk about every single product from a company, but I think I’m supposed to talk about the car if I put it in the thumbnail. I’m going to change that Kiwi in thumbnail into an Ora.
Done, I like my new thumbnail😀
I want a pink wrapped BYD!!
Thank you very much! Although I live in Russia many people here drive Chinese cars. My brother drives one
Yeah I heard, lots of Chinese cars selling in Russia
As a Filipino I'm awestruck with many of these car makers entering the Philippine auto market. For decades Japanese cars have reigned over the streets down here, but a little competition is fine too.
10:30 hold up, the Wulings in your vid look nothing like the ones we get in Indonesia 😮
(Also for some reason they love to name cars with Spanish names)
commenting because this deserves more views
Absolutely great video, here before the algorithm finally notices it.
(•̀ω•́)✧
that’s such a great summary, thank you!!
As a car guy who's country only got two Chinese car brands this video was very eye opening, I would love to see a similar video on Chinese *phone* brands like Xiaomi
Apparently phones in China dont get Google or the Google Play Store?
It's the cars they don't support
Phones in china are much different from normal phones in the App Store department because they have an app called WeChat. WeChat allows you to have a sort of proxy webstore which you can do most of your stuff in. Now Chinese phones also have WeChat pay and alibaba? Pay which you use instead of credit cards, but essentially those are the only apps that truly matter to the average Chinese so yes they don’t really have a google App Store or as we call it an A.P.P store
12:00 also, Nio sells phones.
It's like watching some lore videos for an established film/movie franchise lol, never knew there would be so many brands fighting in just 1 country.
Very informative, thanks
I wish you didn't add the bottom red bar I found it really really distracting but other than that good video was interesting.
It’s for people with bad attention span (me)
I didn't find it distracting, but it did crash with RUclips's seekbar a little
This feels like one of those videos that gets millions of views but it only has 1000…..
LOL the voice change when talking about the cars
😉
This is very cool. I hope I can buy one of the economy EVs one day.
are there any manual rwd cars in China?
There are, like minivans from Wulin, but they are not sport cars.
Very informative
What the hell? Chinese cars look much nicer and distinct than other brands.
The competition on car industry is at crazy level in China. Too many new born brands, only few can survive in the end. A true battle royal.
To me those SUVs and electric vehicles looked very similar
Did you forget Zeekr?
Thanks for letting me know, I'll make a stand alone video to fix it.
Here you go ruclips.net/video/29avM9y-2ak/видео.html
I didn't know that Haval is Chinese, lol
please make more videos on china
will do
Now what about the motorcycles and mopeds? (insert smug dog face emoji from wechat)
You are killing me🥹
Good video
奇瑞的观致已经几乎名存实亡了,好像已经不在销售新车了
nice
