They literally do nothing besides buying the car for you in China hence there are hundreds and hundreds of these businesses.
At least some have been in the car business in China and doing import into to China for years and they also have stock. Comparing these with just an agent is downgrading

Risks Summary
1. No warranty: The so-called 0 mileage secondhand cars are exported through dealers rather than the official, which means very likely you won't get any repair services if you don't have parts imported/ mechanic who know how to fix. And some brands even refuse to have them repair after they officially enter the market. Yet good news is that EVs manufactured in recent years are fairly reliable, probably no serious problems will pop up for the first few years of usage.
2. Maintenance & Update: Normally EVs don't require maintenance on battery and motor. I personally own a 2023 BWM i3 and haven't spent a penny on maintenance with a mileage of 21,000 km. The main problem will be OTA update. New features and UIs might be unavailable if your internet service provider does not support data transmitted from China. I heard there are dealers in Russia who help with system update/ language. Perhaps you can use a VPN to make system update possible on your own.
3. Charging: You might need to do a research if the charger comes with the car is compatible with your local standard (current limit, voltage, frequency, etc,.) . If not you will have to get a converter. Ideally, you will have a garage with good electricity conditions, as some old apartment might not support a high power charger.
Basically those are 3 factors you need to concern. I started working for a car exporter last week, feel free to ask if you have a problem

My main question is how do you service your car after importing a single car? There might not be a single other car like that in your country
Simple answer is you don't .
It's the most underdeveloped market in china
Taken advantage of by non-experts Chinese businesses who just want to make a lot of money .
Export our of China literally started last year
Export in this way doesn't go to Europe where it is illegal
It goes to Russia , the Middle East , Africa and other markets that aren't mature .
The process in China is easy
the "Agent" Benji/wheels boy is going to buy the car in the dealership , adds his profit , send it to the port and from there on its own you.
-The badges are in Chinese !
-The buttons are in Chinese !
-The screen is in Chinese with Chinese Apps that don't work abroad so no maps for navigation no music apps no android auto etc .
- the electric port is Chinese standard not European or American
Basically they don't do anything for you beside acting as an agent to buy a car in china and send it to the port.
My comment is regarding all the exporters from China of which there are in the hundreds.
Assuming you can't do it yourself, you find someone local willing to do it for you. Obviously importing parts will take longer too. If you're buying electric, then there are at least fewer parts to service. Many countries have a gray, personal or classic import scheme, and people with unique cars face and overcome these issues if they want to own something like that.
If money is no object, and you really want some interesting Chinese car you can't source locally, then it might be worth doing. If you think you're going to buy a cheap car, and legally drive it in your home country cheaper than buying local, then that's not going to happen.
3rd party technicians. Just like old days
My 13 year old privately imported Mitsubishi minicab miev EV hasn't needed anything but a tyres and fluid check in the 6 years I've had it. EVs just don't need much servicing.

I'm really shocked how importing Chinese-market cars became a thing in the world. In post USSR countries it's a trend for middle-class folks to drive a fancy electric Chinese car, like in Belarus, Uzbekistan, or Moldova. I've been in the last of these three mentioned, I was so shocked to spot around 20 chinese fancy EVs like Avatr 11, BYD Han EV, or Neta V, it's quite shocking how much people don't care about language, maintenance, charging, or repair risks and simply go ahead and import thiose cars.
I've heard Chinese EVs are super popular in Costa Rica and Colombia as well!
It's all about being unique probably.

In some poorer countries, most people buy used cars and there are barely any dealerships. I don't know if this is the case there but in that situation, whether there's after sales support doesn't matter because it was never an option
People are not stupid. Electric cars are easy to maintain because of the abasencd of transmission system.

you should list some examples of cars you exported so people see allexpenses - from export price to all your fees to FCO my shipping port and then i can take that to my spediteur who will make my import calculation

can't see it as a viable option other than in some specific situations.
They don't use a CCS socket, so you'll have to use an adapter that as far as I have seen can't deliver more than 50-100kW. If they even work at all
Big problem especially if the country does not allow adapters to be used in local charging stations.

Luckily in my country, The Netherlands, we have a dealer/importer for BYD, MG, Hongqi, NIO, Xpeng.

A BYD Atto 3 in China is sold for 14,725 $ USD without the local VAT which isn't paid for exports .

These cars are basically being sold without any warranty if those companies are not in your country.

How about warranty or issues? What happens if I import a car from CN and I have problems with it in a country where they don't have service centers?

Normally, you should always go to those importer who promises that they will be handling it if problem happens. As far as my understanding, your importer has the access to official warranty in China. So the next thing is they will ship your car back and let the manufacturer fix it.
As discussed in the video, we will continue to provide you with the parts necessary to repair a vehicle, but you will need to find a mechanic who is able to repair the vehicle if there is not an official service center. We are always upfront with potential clients about what type service we can and cannot provide BEFORE we sell you a car.

A lot of carmakers's official warranty policies (or third-party software subscription policies I believe?) explicitly only benefit first-hand users, so if a CDM car is exported as a second-hand car, that's a really muddy territory. How do you deal with that?
The normal warranty policy does not limit the first owner. It's just that these electric car companies provide additional power system life-long maintenance for the first owner.
The answer to my biggest question is at 18:51. Adapters are required for EVs. The AC adapter is cheap, but the DC adapter is expensive ($1,000+). I'd say that having to use an adapter would likely make the car non-compliant in most advanced economies. This means nullifying home insurance if you charge with AC at home, and you would likely get banned from commercial DC chargers unless those adapters receive electrical safety certification in your home country.
Cruel fact: you always need a Russian engineer to take out the motherboard, unlock the system, and switch to local carrier for internet… Those people are amazing

In South East Asia, we have parallel importers.
A parallel importer is doing one of two things
Getting his cars from a dealer somewhere else in the world
Or from a dealer directly in China.

Can people buy just the Skateboard? eg: A Byd battery/motor/ecu to put on an Older Car for Conversion

This is all fine and nice, but in most countries you cannot register or drive an imported car without type approvals, OTHERWISE, I'd jump on the chance to Import a right hand drive Baojun Cloud to here in Australia, Just like those Available in Indonesia, I don't think saic MG will import them here where they seem to be blind to anything but SU fing Vs. Please Saic, please send them to Australia. I see in videos from indonesia that the cloud there already had an English Language Setting.
At least many countries allow parallel import, which is somewhat easier to deal with. North America has a essential parallel import ban introduced in the 80s to stop Mercs being grey imported🤓
Honestly, if you read between the lines, it is quite clear that this service targets developing economies where used imports are common, and official aftersale service is non-existent anyway. I do not think it is practical to import a CDM vehicle to advanced economies where you cannot bribe an official to get a car registered.

Hope the EU will open gates to more quality Chinese car brands as I think local brands need some competition as local car prices got unreasonably higher after Corona pandemic. I would buy some Chinese car personally, however compatibility issues, higher total price connected with importing the vehicle (tax, registration, higher insurance) keeps me from doing that.

Well. This model is prohibited to be exported by BMW official, as it is....very very cheat and might interrupted the "normal market". The 2024 i3 40L is heard to be sold at 220K RMB (VAT included), which is less than 30K USD. Imagine how this crush the distributors in Europe.

They can't tell you the final bill because that is for your govt, Your country is responsible for import duty, not wheelsboy. all you get from wheelsboy is CIF once the car reaches Morocco port. Morocco govt will then calculate the duty based on the CIF you paid.

Wondering that is it possible at all to import an electric car in North America? I know the parallel import 25/15 year rule, which basically makes importing newer Chinese cars with ICEs impossible, but I think electric cars are a loophole for this moment?
We’ve looked into it, and it’s difficult enough that we don’t recommend even trying to import a Chinese car into US/Canada for personal use.
Are the export documents for a new car different from the documents for a used one? I understand the loophole explained for getting new cars exported from China, but in my country, you must have a used car dealer licence to import any type of used car, but there's no licence required for new cars. Obtaining the used car licence isn't feasible for an individual because it's a whole process which includes inspection of your car service area, and you have to secure a USD50000 bond. So it all boils down to the documentation because it states that its a used car coming from China, then the licence will be required.
They can't get you new card in China, it isn't possible.
They are just agents who buy the car for you locally so it is a "used" car in China
I think the problem for the US is more about the 25-(15- in Canada)year rule. Let's see whether electric cars are a loophole (I think it somewhat is). I did see Chinese kei cars used as equipment within institutes and colleges, even NASA, quite long ago.
Exporting a brand new vehicle requires documentation directly from a manufacturer, but apart from this, the export documents should be the same as far as we’re aware. We are not aware of any way around this issue, otherwise we would be doing it ourselves!
I know there are some hurdles to overcome for CN domestic EV car manufacturers National software related issues are still a big problem today even if the global platform architecture is from ground up projected within the same hardware ... my hope is that this issue will disappear one day, but till then, the party shoots on their own foot for national conservative matters all along doing cn versions and export versions.Even europeans fear privacy protection failure because of not consented datatheft from 3rd parties, chinesse bigbrother is watching

They need to be registered in order to legally considered "secondhand" vehicles, which makes them eligible for export under Chinese regulations. New vehicles must be exported directly through the manufacturer. In this case, they would be registered to the export company that buys the car on your behalf here in China. Then the plate and registration are returned to the department of transportation, making the vehicle secondhand, but not registered and therefore free and clear to be legally exported.
