- As promised, here's a link to our episode of the Worst NFL Playoff Game: • The Worst NFL Playoff ...
In January 2016, the Packers and Cardinals faced off with a chance to go to the NFC Championship. That meant Larry Fitzgerald and Aaron Rodgers had quite the spotlight for the spectacle they put on. Multiple Hail Marys, overtime domination, future Hall of Famers going blow for blow - it was a game that escalated into an epic.

Q: Is this just a way to show a bunch of dope Hail Marys?
A: No. It's a great moment, we're just thankful it happened to involve a bunch of them.
Thanks for watching, comment with suggestions, like and subscribe, you know the drill. You're great. That's why we keep you around.
Thank you for this series, but how about some of these:
2007 or 2008 Brazilian GP
Super Bowl LI
Mandzukic goal vs England in WC2018
2010 Olympics Crosby winning goal
You forgot to mention the botched coin toss.
Can you please do a Rewinder on the 1989 Tour de France? Between Greg LeMond and Laurent Fignon?
I think The Undertaker throwing Mankind of the Hell in a Cell at King of the Ring '98 deserves a deep rewind.
Are you Canadian? American goalpost's are @ the back of the end zone. So, 61yds away is actually about a 78yd FG.
5:40 “Instead of a long field goal for the win, Rogers stayed out there”
Yes, a 78 yard field goal from the their own 39 must’ve been pretty tough to forego
lmao
ya exactly
@@iansteelmatheson Just like how the Packers have no idea how to build a defense.
Matthew Daley vikes fan here, i think they built a nice one this past offseason wonder how they'll look with those stud corners , blake M and other free agents signings oh cant forget gary
And Skip Bayless will tell you the ball was under thrown.
Watched this game live. One of the best divisional games I've ever seen
Vix B agreed, such a rollercoaster. Felt bad for Rodgers after this one.
Vix B exactly! i was all over the place during that game💀
You watched an NFL playoff game from 3 years ago live? How unique.
Vix B greatest ending in Arizona Sports history
@khpitbos17 why you so angry?you must be a deflatriots fan.
I think that Packers cowboys playoff game in the 2016 playoffs would make a good rewind a few years down the road
John B or the next episode
2014 playoff game too
I wish we could rewind time and take away play calling duty from Shanahan in the 2nd half.
As sad as I still am about that game, Aaron Rodgers proclaiming that they would run the table after being taken to the woodshed by the Redskins, and then upsetting the #1 seed in the NFC is an absolutely incredible story. I remember watching the end of that Packers Redskins game inside a pizza hut laughing at the packers. God, it still hurts.
John B I’ve actually thought about that game in a context similar to a rewinder before and you are absolutely right. It’s the beginning of the “Legend of Dak Prescott” and Rodgers’ last miracle and we shall hope it stays that way lol. There is a really interesting story to be told in that game
“Somehow Fitzgerald was open”
Yah i can’t image how an elite defence like GB could allow it :^)
The defense was elite exactly, ONCE, 2010.
vinnythewebsurfer they were ranked 10th that year , but keep on finding excuses.
@@alexcorona 10 isn't very good, when there are only 12 playoff teams.
@@matthewdaley746 Yes, the defense is only good when they win a super bowl, but the QB is elite forever. 🙄
@@AlexSmith-tz2lf yes he is
"The last 3 completions combined for 176 yards" that doesn't even seem realistic to hear lol
Sounds like madden on rookie mode 🤣
This game is a microcosm of Aaron Rodgers' career. He pulls off miracle after miracle after miracle... only to watch his useless defense blow the game for him.
Phil Michaels sadly you hit the nail on the head
Yep.
Yup
I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a hernia from all the times he had to carry his team
1000% this. This year is the first season that I've actually been excited to watch my team's D since Nick Collins went down game 1 in 2011. Statistically we were between okay-ish and decent in a few of those years, but anyone who actually watched the games knew better than to count on them when we needed them.
Doesn't matter how well they performed when it didn't matter when you could damn near guarantee they were going to break rather than bend when we needed them. Worse still, not only did they always break when it mattered, but they always took their time breaking, making sure the opposing team chewed up absurd amounts of time. Several times it genuinely would have been better to have just let the other team score un-touched on their first play, just to give Rodgers time.
I will keep asking for the miracle on ice
Patchy The pirate does that really need a rewind? We all know it.
@SteelCityFilms I hope if it's ever made they don't leave out the Gold Medal Game against Finland, which was also pretty good.
Disney already made that video. Literally named 'Miracle.'
@@jedidethfreak a movie that has bits and pieces of stuff added in for drama woul be a lot different than a rewind episode of all fact

As a Packer fan, I hope one day I'll be able to watch this video.

Larry fitz is a 1st ballot HOF. Straight Legend!
One of the greatest Fitz moments ever! After his TD in Super Bowl 43. GO CARDINALS
Larry is like the kawhi of the nfl
More like Vince Carter. Plenty of highlights, stays loyal to his team, arguably the best at one point in his career (99-02 and 04-07), and veteran in the playoffs with no ring to top off his HOF career.
Edit: plus they seem like they never age and will play the game in their 50s
They both would be more like him. He is the 1st ballot HOFamer
Broken King no he’s definitely the Tim Duncan. Had some highlights but not as flashy as other greats so he’s discredited in all time talks.
Larry Fitzgerald cannot b compared to anyone 🐐
Lmaoo this aged poorly khawi is trash now
all this just to get curb stomped in the NFC Championship game
@Millian Macalintal Who then got beat pretty badly against the Broncos.

Carolina lost to Denver by 14. But it was a close game until the end. How did they get beat Badly?
@@zay2cold47 i would say they got beat badly cause their offensive line got manhandled throughout the entire game. the only reason it wasn't worse than 14 points was because manning was at the end of his career and couldn't find the endzone if you gave him a map

Do the other Green Bay vs Arizona game, I think it was 2009. It's the highest scoring playoff game of all time.
I think it was the 2008-2009 season, which is what I thought this was initially going to be.
Rodgers scoring 45 points and still losing in his first ever playoff game pretty much sums up his postseason career.
And ironically ending on a defensive score

That was a crazy finish, especially considering how the first half went.
@@Mikhael23arab It's too recent, which is why they also won't cover Super Bowl 52.
Please no. My heart can't take that again
@@matthewdaley746 "Too recent" Well they DID cover JR Smith's blunder in the 2018 NBA Finals literally less than a full year from that point 😅
Watched this whole thing live and I will never forget just how much Larry Legend wanted this game. You could feel the guy that has been the heart and soul of a franchise for so many year once again putting his team squarely on his own shoulders. He's a true leader.
Lee Evans drop in the 2011/12 AFC Championship rewinder would be awesome. The Patriots and Ravens had so many great playoff matchups in that 5 or 6 year span.
you mean Sterling Moore slapping the ball out of his hands in the endzone
Should have been ruled a touchdown
James Dishman man he caught it and took two steps then got it knocked out that should’ve been a td and then billy cundiff misses like a 30 yarder to force ot smh
Evan Longoria's Game 162 Walk off to send the Rays to the wildcard
Thought u said Eva Longoria lmaoooo
@@greenmean6414 He meant Eva Parker.
mccarthy should have went for 2 to go for the win, the defense could not be trusted to stop them in OT
I agree. It was a 50/50 shot, so might as well take it now and skip the formalities.
Not even close to 50/50. Only about 30% of the Packers' plays went further than 2 yards - and that's with usually a lot more space to work with and often soft coverages. Their goal line and red zone play was abyssmal as well. Yes, they averaged 5.4y per offensive snap, but take away the 3 big plays and this dips to 2.7y. And mind you, for a 2PC it's not about the average but about the median.
So no. The Packers managed to stay in the game because every now and then they completed a big play, not because they reliably moved the chains. If a 2PC were 3 downs from the 20, it might have been a 50/50, but with just a single attempt from the 2, it would have been suicide.
Greatest effort I’ve seen two Hail Marys on the same drive alll fro nothing this along with with both nfc championship games makes a packer fan I am just wanna break my tv
I was at this game. Truly amazing. Great job at detailing everything about this moment.
Back to back hail marys. Basically impossible, only Rodgers. And then the cards win anyway thanks to Fitz! One of the best playoff games I’ve ever seen!
Another example of why for all his talents, Aaron Rodgers will likely retire with exactly, ONE, Super Bowl.
Matthew Daley Rodgers attitude is terrible but I do agree his defenses have let him down. He certainly never had a defense like the 03 Patriots for example
Yeah, no other qb can fire the ball downfield into a crowd of players and will their receiver to come up with the ball. It’s a 50-50 play, guys.
@@vertsci87 Results declared a defeat.
@5:46 “instead of a long field goal for the win, Rodgers stayed out there” lol look. Mason Crosby was good but I don’t think he was kicking a 70 yard field goal.
I think they would get the free kick rule, I don't know if it's a thing, I could be wrong
DO a rewind on Evan Longorias, game 162 walk off home run
I remember watching this game live, it was so crazy.
Here’s an idea for a collapse video. The bears went from contenders in 85-86 to constantly missing the playoffs
That's what happens when your defense gets, "found out," exactly, ONE, year later by the Redskins, they were their, Kryptonite.
Could be cause Buddy Ryan's schemes were getting figured out, or the clash between him and Mike had an impact on the team for the future .. how did those mid to late 80s Bears teams only manage to win one SB
Please do Tracy Porter pick 6 to win the Super Bowl for the Saints

@@danielchavez5696 Who cares, Favre still cost his team, again.

I LOVE the music you guys use on these Rewinder vids. Makes every one of these moments in sports history, even ones I never cared about before, seem so epic.
I remember watching this with my dad, he was so tired and falling asleep and I woke him up when fitz had that huge play in OT. we love the Cards!
Damn... 13 year old me was jumping up and down screaming on that play by Fitz. And now we suck.
That overtime hail mary vs. Detroit might be a good rewinder in and of itself.
Not OT, but agreed
That hail mary only happened because of a bad facemask call. the game was over, and green bay lost.
I remember watching this game as a 10 year old, Amazing.
I just want you to know i appreciate the production value in this series. unbelievable job yet again!
Imo the best playoff game in the past decade
I will continue to ask for Minneapolis Miracle 2018.
Had to watch and watch the ad after this classic I just watched.. Thank you
I think what really makes this series so cool is that we spend all this video on the build up to a moment. And the moment is played as just that. No crazy editing. No replays. Just how it was done at the moment. There's something so cool and sobering about it.
Larry legend man, I’m willing to say he’s in the top 3 of the modern era. I really hope he’s back next season for another chance at a ring.

I remember this game like it was yesterday, I lost it when fitz was wide open and I was hoping he would have scored on that drive. But the flick pass from Palmer to him made me and my dad the happiest we've been in a long time for our team.... then we played the panthers
You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to see this one
