    I'm jealous how obviously well thought out people's cities and industries are planned and built. I tend to just barf buildings out, maybe with a warehouse connected.

    6:56 Glad you really found the easter egg! Everyone should do it! :D
    Cant thank you enough for your content, because everything I know about the game I learned from you (and my own mistakes of course). With that playthrough, I just hit the 1.000 hours on steam. On for the next thousand! Much love, Mad

      Btw the church you are looking for at 13:36 is close to the St. Anton nametag. At 06:58 you can see, that I build a little graveyard around it. :)

    I'm going to restart my save now that 1.0 is officially out. I usually start out with easy money and a real quick period of being able to purchase my starting storage. Thanks for the lovely playthrough. Love this idea of checking out other folks work!

    the incinerator logic - you bring hazmat to small one, mixed to the bins/waste storage next to it. recyclation plant gets mixed waste and burned hazmat ash and does its job. the rest is burned in big incinerator and you get just ash...

    • @Rdlprmpf12
      @Rdlprmpf12 19 дней назад +2

      I don't think it's worth it, though. All it does is saving the plastic in the mixed waste from burning. You can just designate bins for plastic for the people, then the remaining mixed waste contains almost none any more, you can burn both kinds of waste before sorting the ash. If you cover everyone, this even produces MORE plastic scraps, because the citizens sort perfectly at home but the sorting facility doesn't have 100% efficiency. But even if you provide the plastic bins only near the biggest pop concentrations it's not worse than this "perfect" contraption.

    Can't wait till I submit my republic. Still working on it in my playthrough. Will do so half way through. It's gonna be a good one. 😊

    I didn't want to send the map because I thought I had advanced too much, I'm already in 2015 in the game

      I would assume there are a handful in the same situation...it would be cool to get another few republics to see more advanced republics.

    Awesome. I hope I can show off my chemical start when I get farther along. It's understandable that everyone has done Nuclear Fuel especially since you did it, but its fun to try other things too. I always love chemicals because it feels like a jump-start into so many other industries. The four materials used to make it, and the ....dozen industries that need chemicals. And the new Large Chemical Plant fits the budget of Hard Money Realistic Start pretty nicely without any loans.

      @any1alive 22 дня назад

      wait start with oil, what sorta industries do you place to build that, i guess 1-2k pop, the LCP warehosue and a loadigns tation?

    • @gamingshowerthoughts9723
      @gamingshowerthoughts9723 21 день назад +1

      @@any1alive Smallest/simplest oil, gravel, wood, and farm all connected directly to the LCP. You'll also want an incinerator too pretty quickly, and a warehouse/grain silo for ~1k crop buffer.
      I invited 500 pop originally and then grew it as fast as possible with NATO invites. You can grow to 5k+ before you run out of jobs.

    10:56 not gonna say anything either :)
    18:01 I'm terrible at giving people compliments, so yeah...
    21:10 I built that so I could transfer vehicles between the peninsula and the island, though ended up not being used much, so...
    and that rail was used to bring in the big rail builder so far, which also didn't see much use since then, so so far not the wisest of investments there...
    21:31 I use that small incinerator just for burning hazardous waste.
    I don't like the waste treatment plant (goes through hazardous waste a lot slower and needs chemicals),
    but I still need to separate anything non burnable from within that hazardous waste, so that's how I ended up with this setup:
    small incinerator burns hazardous waste and leaves ash, but also non-burnable stuff,
    general separation separates those out, but does add other waste in the process,
    which the big incinerator will burn away.
    My regular mixed waste skips the small incinerator and goes straight to separation.
    And I built the big incinerator instead of the small one at the end because it also has to burn the regular leftover mixed waste.
    21:52 Yep, that's just the vanilla scrapping facility with vanilla helipads added to it.
    24:23 So, I have determined via some tests that a control tower can control an airport that's up to 3500m away.
    And I built it next to that helipad, so I can bring in workers from the peninsula via heli to operate that and the gas power plant.
    25:14 So turns out I have some ppl at the peninsula complaining about no sport and culture, so time to add more staff to those buildings.
    That said, I think a radio or TV station may help with happiness and productivity, once I built one, which hasn't happened yet...

    i do have 2 questions,
    1 how do you open multiple windows sinds V1.0 ?
    and 2, i saw you build a raod and a footpath, and then you clicked right bottom corner to accept the roads,
    and then you clicked something els ( not footpaths ) but you did accept those plans.
    where did you click?

    • @bballjo
      @bballjo  21 день назад

      Multiple windows is just a game setting...it's a checkbox, no clue what it's called.
      The blueprint to active button is always in the same location, but it switches context...when you have roads menu open and click the button, all roads get activated, when you have power menu open all wires get activated...when you have nothing open, everything gets activated... usually I esc out of everything, but sometimes I miss a click

      @SaltyDroscho 22 дня назад

      @@bballjo Well... uhm... okay I won't lie: You are about 80% correct. I only skipped through the video to the segments where I can see a larger part of the republic (like one city or industry) using the preview images of the videos timeline.
      BUT I had a reason to do that: When I wrote that comment, I should have already been in bed for like an hour because of work (Im writing this comment on the train on my way to work) so I told myself: just one video.
      Am I sry? - Yes.
      Will I rewatch your video in full sometime today? - Probably
      Is this comment basicly pointless? - Absolutely

    Wow nuclear is so lucrative, is all the waste expensive if it was exported? I once build nuclear late and was kind of concerned filling up large storages with waste 🤭 I really like the last approach, it looks the least cramped and concealed.

    • @bballjo
      @bballjo  22 дня назад +1

      Nuclear power and nuclear fuel are very different... nuclear fuel just produces a pretty small amount of waste

    @bballjo Im doing same challenge in your map, (copied most of your ideas for the city) but i cant keep up with trash, all my containeres are always full and my gravel industries always stop production due to containters always full, would be nice if u can check my republic

    • @Alex-0597
      @Alex-0597 17 дней назад +1

      I was having a really bad waste problem in my republic, but I managed to fix it by doing waste separation. For whatever reason, technical services don't like to send multiple trucks to the same container stand to pick up the same kind of waste. So because I hadn't started separation yet, everything was mixed waste and thus each stand could only have one truck head to it at a time. Just separating out construction and biowaste made the entire problem disappear and now I have a new problem of way too many garbage trucks sitting idle because they have nothing to do.

    Wow. You play this game for years and dont know you can do that! smh. Try connecting a drydock, a train factory and a car factory, with distribution feeds to the centre factory, the dock and the other only need a fac connect to receive inputs. Haha nerd...
