    There is a really easy way to escape every prison. If you wait long enough, the prison (via a legal loophole) has to let you go.

    The 'false positive' is an actual thing. Most metal detectors are programmed to activate if they haven't activated in awhile, that setting is usually random. If it's set to 5, and 5 people walk through it without setting it off, the 6th person will set it off. It is a self test function, "5 people have walked through without an alarm, am I actually working?" edit: I don't know if that is in game.

    • @randomlyentertaining8287
      @randomlyentertaining8287 7 месяцев назад +274

      That's stupid. So I'm going to be searched because I just so happened to be a certain number of person to walk through it? Plus all it does is test if the detector can detect the number of people passing through it, not whether or not they have anything on them.

    • @wetnapkin2731
      @wetnapkin2731 7 месяцев назад +1

      If it doesn’t go off after a certain amount of people they know it’s not working and know to check it im sure it’s not really set to five and whatever it’s set to they can just have you step through again

    • @krsanth-4142
      @krsanth-4142 7 месяцев назад +641

      Only a supervisor or the tech people would know the number, I picked 5 as an example. What happens is, when the set number is reached and there hasn’t been an alarm, the computer controlling the detector will trip the circuit on the next person, to check that the circuit actually works.
      That person could be naked, or wrapped in foil, it doesn’t matter. In most cases, depending on location, you just step through again life goes on. You can also set one off by bumping it to hard, tamper alarm, think of the tilt function in a pinball machine.
      On a side note a lot of people think it is checking magnetism, they actually look for conductivity. If it was magnetic, an aluminum can wouldn’t set it off.

    Those protected armed guard positions through the cellblocks are absolutely diabolical, solves the big issue with supermax/legendary prisoners who can just kung-fu a shotgun away in a second. Very much evokes the raised platforms for armed guards in certain of our most pleasant real-world facilities.

      I like to look at it as "learning which character you're using this game" rather than "learn new skills once you get imprisoned".
      If you don't ever spend points on swimming then the character you play with was always a bad swimmer. If you max it out then oh yea, this character was always a great swimmer.
      You can think of it like this and then every play through of the game you're using a new, unique person and you have to "level up" to get to know them better and learn their strengths.

    Little facts that might help you in future: you can stash contraband in toilets, even your neighbours' so that when the guards search your cell they find nothing. You can also stash contraband in tunnels, so if you've already started digging but haven't gotten to the dogs yet you can start stashing digging implements there for when you decide to try and dig through everything at once.
    You can walk "around" metal detectors by walking very slowly into the wall they're a door on, if you do it right you can get past it without it recognising you went through
    If you start a fight and disarm/knock out a guard and manage to steal his cuffs and hide them in a contraband stash (tunnel or toilet) you can use the keys to walk through any and all doors the guards themselves can open (which is usually everyone of them)
    Another tip: Showers are the best Reputation point farms, they're always full of easy to break showerheads lined up for you to break them and they're usually sort of isolated, meaning it takes a bit for guards to arrive there (and sometimes they have no cameras, which means you can still get the reputation for breaking every showerhead but no punishment time)
    Lighters are OP and pretty much one of the ultimate breakout tools (paired with a max security squad mate who you can just switch to to kill guards and steal their keys and other assorted stuff) if you start a good enough fire and escape capture for long enough for it to spread well, you can keep killing the firefighters to delay their progress and destroy more of the prison, eventually leading to entire walls breaking down, if you surrender and skip punishment sometimes the walls wont have finished being replaced yet, meaning you cab just walk into an area you werent meant to (or even just straight out of the prison)
    Fun fact related to the previous one: you can use the lighter multiple times on the same place to "stack" fires, the more stacked the more the fire spreads and the hotter it is.
    Second fun fact related to fire: Cell Windows count as flammable objects, and when a fire spreads from them it's usually to nearby walls. You can also ignite things through walls on certain occasions, most usually prisoner beds.

    The problem with escape mode is that once you grasp the basic mechanics of the mode you can pretty much escape any prison without too much effort.
    Last resort just farm breaking showers to raise rep and use rep to build a squad, use a member of that squad to bumrush his way into getting a lighter and hiding it in a nearby toilet and then when you start a massive fire you can just walk through where the walls used to be

    If I remember right, a room's contrabands are spawned when the player character enters it, meaning you can walk out and then back in again if you can't find the things you want.
    I haven't played since last year though, so that might've changed already.

    they should fill the area where you would dig tunnels with water so you would have to dig while underwater

    • @Firesgone
      @Firesgone 6 месяцев назад +1

      Deep gravel/sand traps to stop hidden digging might be better.
      Any tunnel would collapse from the loose material, and the disturbed material would be visible on the surface.
      Just saturating the ground with water as you suggested wouldn't work as the ground would remain stable and the forced high water table would naturally trickle away and cause massive structural issues.
