I saw In Flames in Boulder Co in 2014 and they played their set, which was amazing, and then left the stage, after a few minutes they came back on to play this as an encore. This is my favorite In Flames song so them capping off their show with this made it the best concert of my life.

In Flames you are the first band that got me into Swedish Melodic Death Metal. Still listening since then.
01:20 Everything is on fire in this bridge before the chorus. The lead guitar (no rhytm guitar), the drums, the singing, the backing track, the lyrics... Even the cymbals sound like something is burning! I still remember the summer of 2004 when I spent 24/7 listening to this album. I was 18 years old. It was hot and In Flames was hot and I used to scream out loud in the middle of the street singing along. The nostalgia is immense. If I had to choose one bit from In Flames and trade all the others away, I would pick between 01:20 and 01:28. I FOUND A FLAME IN THE BURNT OUT ASHES!!! Long live In Flames!

This song changed my life for the better for ever. I saw them some times live at their prime. Arvikafestivalen in Arvika, local gig in my hometime Karlstad, Metaltown in Göteborg. It resonates so well with me and so many others. Long Live In Flames.

No need for complicated arrangements
The synth backing to the main riff in this song, which fades in the outro, made this the perfect concert closer for a number of years. The image of the five dudes taking bows onstage while the outro to this song continues in the background, and the crowd screams, will always stay with me. What a metal epic.

Different people like different things.. My first song with IF was Touch of red and then to this, sometimes i like Reroute to Remain, sometimes it's Clayman, if i'm down i like to put on Soundtrack to your escape .. Specially "Evil in a Closet" or "The Quiet Place" are good to my ears on days where the world just took a turn for the bad.. (and if i really just is down the gutter and out cold, "Discover Me Like Emptiness" help turn those emotions from something gnawing on the inside and then let them out. But as said, different people like different things.
Because all the death tards are butt hurt they changed their style, either way ....those same death tards would've been unsatisfied, you can only make so many Jester Race albums. Don't get me wrong their 90s stuff is great, but their perfect album is a sense of purpose
