Glad Dan is back. Ashe O'Hara was great, but Dan is the man. I don't need a re-release of Altered State. That'd only be a waste of time and an insult to Ashe. Altered State is amazing as it is. I just want a new album out and I hope Dan stays for good because I'm tired of having to deal with a new Tesseract singer.
While I agree on an entire album re-release, I would absolutely love a live recorded album re-take, or perhaps a few "bonus" tracks where they re-envision some of the songs off of A.S.
Some great songs to be had that I think Dan would be able to put a fresh spin on.
I think Ashe has a bit higher range than Dan. No band would rerecord a full release just because of a vocalist change anyway. Ashe is great and Dan is great. I love altered state just the way it is.
Biophonism I respectfully disagree. His vocals in Skyharbor are a one up of what you hear in One.

All these people saying kmac was better don't make any sense. Tesseract wrote the song that gave him the opportunity to cover it. You gotta still give respect to the people that conjured up the music to begin with. It's all about spreading love for music. No matter how you find it. Love the people performing it for you

As sad as I am to see Ashe is gone...having Daniel back in the fold is simply awesome. My favorite thing about Tesseract is their constant evolution. Both of their albums are unique and brilliant...

Everyone here seems to love Dan and I can say he is really great. However, I started listening to TesseracT in June 2013 when Ashe was part of them and I must say I miss mr O'Hara a lot. His voice is so out of this world. I like Dan, but I love Ashe forever and a day. I won't turn my back to this band completely but I won't love them as much as I did either.

Nick Scott Yes I have listened to One very much. I still prefer Altered State and Ashe. But yeah, what can you do. Luckily there are so many great djent bands for me to listen :)

So refreshing to hear someone say this. I like em both pretty much equally. For my money Dan is technically stronger but Ashe has an emotional richness that Dan can't quite reach.
I like both too but I do miss Ashe's ethereal vocals. I like Dan more with Skyharbor than Tesseract.

Probably, lots of bands do that live unless they have someone else who can sing backing vocals.

I feel like the mix is really lacking with this video. Both of the guitars sound so distant and I can hardly hear the bass. Still a kickass performance, though.
