I have been through this. Looking in the mirror I’d just sit and cry and try to contort my body and face in ways to make me less ugly. I’m 25 now and only within the last few months have I started to love and appreciate how I look. I think I’m beautiful now. It’s so comforting but sad that the little girl I once was thought she was so vile.
I can absolutely relate to this. I've always been a pretty girl. I was and still am told all the time how pretty I am. And yet, even still, I feel a little queasy looking in the mirror. I'm working on it though. It's definitely easier now in my 30s than it was in my 20s. I'm much kinder to myself now.
