Morning everyone watching from Lincolnshire UK 🇬🇧
Good morning sir
Watching from South wales 🏴
Good morning how is everyone
Good morning Lincolnshire and South Wales from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
This was a fantasy of my wasted youth ! I had lots of mini bikes & dirt bikes but never found that go cart frame
@@bigp500pbgood morning to yah boys from Boston here
Time to ride that cart
All I can say is it's great to have a really intelligent, creative friend. Excellent video
One of you has to be😂
@@twinkie27271 🤣🤣😭
LOL! I thought the boys and I used to do some goofy shit when they were little!
I love it !
Those boys are 37 and 39 now😢
My sons and I are watching this drinking coffee and eating sweet rolls. My second oldest says, "Boy, I'd like to be his kid. Look at all the cool stuff he makes." My oldest says, "Nah, he'd never let you play with those toys. Those are his toys."
Coffee...check.
Bagel...check.
Mustie1...check.
Perfect Sunday Morning!
Missed one. The kitty 😺 😍 check ✔️ now you are all set
If I was young I would never go to Mars without Mustie.
You are one of the only channels where I will sit down and watch s 1 or 2 hour video without getting bored, i have ADHD so my attention spans is one of a 3 year old, you have also taught me a lot about how to fix things, thanks
So much fun to watch: A grown man trying to sit in a toy buggy with the sign in the background "Men playing" lol! I like his sense of humour and self-mockery.
Man, this is so in my wheel house. 1973/4, motorized go carts was "MAGIC" when I was 13/14 yrs old. Hell ya.
Here We go 50 something going on 10 years old keep us all young loving it
Classic Mustie. Making the coolest stuff out of junk. I would have loved that as a kid. Wow!!!!
hes said before that's why he plays with this stuff now because he didn't have the cool toys growing up.
I'd still love that now!
The original go karts were designed for adult racing and they were cramped, small, nimble and light and the standard riding position was your knees in your chest. The go kart was deemed a toy much later in their life cycle when they were sold in the Sears catalogs with a "detuned" or pedestrian 4 stroke engine. The only thing kid-like on this project is the body.
Love the idea of the go kart and the fire coming out of the exhaust ❤😂
A Mustie FrankinBuild, perfect viewing for a rainy Sunday afternoon 👍
The best part of a Sunday is watching Mustie fix odds and ends that need TLC and providing great entertainment and teaching us along the way.
Good morning from Canada 🇨🇦✌️
Watching you climb in the mock up was the best thing I've seen all day.
I had a Dingo go cart when I was a kid. I used Elmer's glue in the tires and it worked great!
I also used to siphon gas from my mom's minivan so I could ride it..
Shhhh.
Don't tell her!!!!
You are such a big kid! Please don’t ever lose that, we LOVE it! So much fun watching you work and seeing your thought process as you work through every issue. Some really great ideas you bring to light, it’s truly inspiring brother! Thanks for taking us along, 👍🏼👍🏼 from this guy… ✌🏼
Speak for yourself. "We" don't all "love it".
He's in his 60s I really don't think he would now lol just all kinds of unthought sentences on this comment...
@@fgb3126Then why are you watching 🤡
Morning Mustie crew, from a rather wet n windy IOM 🇮🇲. U.K.👍🇮🇲😜
Thanks Mustie. Never grow up Mustie so many get older and forget how to have childish FUN. You are blessed to have child like fun using adult knowledge and resources and you share it with us which awakens our inner child. We appreciate the fun and the serious and all the knowledge you have as well as a sense of humor.
You ALWAYS make the right decisions. That kart body will look better than whatever it was originally on. And lowering the center of G? Genius. ....You're Welcome. 😄
Sir this is going to be a very fun toy when you get it finished I have enjoyed this video very much thank you for sharing this with us six stars
I really enjoyed Mustie take a 'Square Peg' and putting it into a 'Round Hole' . With a stash & a bash, he makes it come together nicely. With a bit of chuckle on the side. 👍🏼
Watching from Sydney, Australia.
Super video. The man just makes it all seems so simple. No head scratting.
I’ve seen people put foam in the tires also , no flat tires ever just run till worn out , you a great inspiration to the diy community, keep up the great job
My initial thought is always “ I know where to buy those parts” but Mustie figures out how to make the parts.
Love how you take 3 totally unrelated pieces and fab up something cool out of them.
This is the best channel on the planet. Should have 3 million subs ffs.
Gotta admit I’m a bit envious of you. Turning potential trash into treasures. Your mechanical knowledge shows me who to go see when the crap hits the fan. 😃
I’ve always like making stuff but wasn’t able to for various reasons.
Combining your skill set with a CNC plasma cutter, 3D printer, and other automated machines, would have viewers wondering what is he going to create next?
When Mustie is in the zone, you leave 'im alone.
This is a cracking little project I'll see you next week mate cheers
A must see Mustie original. My favorite Mustie videos.
Making things work from things not meant to be together. That's why this viewer enjoys Mustie 1. Actually using a hoard.
How many know hoarders who can't use or part with any of it?
Ouch! Your cheer poke 9000 got me right in the eye ball!
When you were checking the seat position it gave me flashbacks to my 8 year old self.
I was doing exactly that on a biily cart I was making, but I toppled sidways off the workbench and landed 4 feet down resulting in a compound fracture of my left collarbone, and a 7 inch gash in my head!!!
One man's trash, another man's treasure.
Reminds me of an abandoned trailer at my grandfathers farm. Scavenged springs, axle & toe ball hitch. Made chassis & sides, when it was all done decided to replace springs n axle. Toe hitch is only thing original and still using trailer 35 yrs on :)
Relaxing Sunday night in Qld, Australia. Well now it is👌
I dub this creation, The Flying Purple Bathtub!
You are ,somewhat ..a liitlle (!!) XXL for this chassis Mustie...🤣🤣
This looks like it’s going to be a fun episode
Even though it's 11 am nothing like Mustie1 and breakfast fit for a king 🤴 nothing better.
Yes that diamond blade is for cutting stone and tiles I know only because I used to use them.
Love the build Great fun.
I like the exhaust flames, those looked kool. Hey, this will be fun buggy, looking forward to seeing it.
Alright!!! Love the go kart videos.
You are an absolute trip Darren! Lol I thought you were gonna fall off the bench😲
How about some snowmobiles , for us northeners, your platform for videos is the best!!👍👍👍👍👍
Mustie when you release a new video, I feel like it's a new movie beening released in the cinema, I'm constantly waiting for the next one like a little child, your experience and the way you work always has me amazed, Thank you for all the dedication and the amazing work you put into your channel, 💯%💙 from Ireland 🇮🇪 👍👍
Very few things you do are failure, love your videos, always learn something,,
You are such a child. (As all of us 'old men' are....) 🤣 That was really fun and entertaining. I am looking forward to next episode when you finish it off. I really like watching you leverage tools we don't see regularly, so that added to it as well......
I always wanted a go-kart when I was a kid. I am 71 years old now.
same
Watching from South Florida
That’s a kid’s dream ride. Can’t wait to see Mustie1 giving it hell in the sand pit. Great video.
So many tools,so much ability and no pipe clamps?,come on don’t disappoint me,haha ,thxs
Great job.I watch all of your videos over and over
Definitely an awesSunday when a 2 hour Mustie1 episode pops up in my feed with my Wife gone to a friend of her's.
It's friggen awesome the things Darren comes up with to combine into something to ride in or on.
Bikes, go carts, motorcycles and other sometimes insanely cool rides.
Can't wait for episode 2.
It is so much fun to watch you built something out of just bits and pieces.
Love it when you can just have fun doing thing like this. Awesome job
That mini-Manx dune buggy body is cool. Nice price on all that stuff to conjure something together. Didn’t watch all the way through yet. Good luck!
Cool video Mustie, enjoyable watching you build the mini VW dune buggy 😎👍👍
That had me laughing my head off seeing you in the car, thanks mustie Hahaha 😊😊😊😊
The Florida pool pump motor repair guy 32750 approved ! that was good info Mustie1
I spit out my coffee when you sat down in it… you’re not getting out by yourself…
Those Champion engines are the 💩! We have their wood chipper and log splitter and could not be happier. 🤙🐾🐾🐾
That is indeed a Dingo kart. I had one I bought for my kids.
She fits like a glove
From oklahoma here,good morning.
Love that self satisfaction giggle, well done Mustie.Part 2 should be a hoot watching you wrangle yourself into that beast..lol
I saw the thumbnail ...............the 3 pieces....Cant wait
I’m the type that once I put the body on the chassis and see that the motor, etc didn’t fit. Oh well it was a good idea and moved on 😂. I don’t have the patience nowadays 😂
Been waiting!! HAPPY SUNDAY
Hey Darren, how about doing a walk around the shop talk to us about some of the unfinished projects like, the Econoline, the red & white Ghia, and so on…
I would've taken that kart home if I had brought my truck that day, but MAN am I glad I didn't!!! This is awesome!
❤❤❤❤❤loved this big kids mustie videos ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Really look forward to these videos. We never get opportunities to do things like this. Look forward to the variety in all the videos keep it up please
I love Sunday mornings with Mustie. A couple of times, I found myself telling you to do this or that, forgetting that I'm not there!! One of the things was to leave the motor mount plate long, since it looked to be 5" off the card's floor (the height needed to stuff your butt in the seat). :)
It's when you start yelling at the TV your wife looking at you like she's about to call the fellas in the white coats to come take you away in a straight jacket ya know that you may be a little loony tunes from the fun of watching Darren turning someone else's trash into treasure.
My Wife Maria gives me that look sometimes when she's home.
Today she's with some friends so onky the nieghbors might wonder what's going on.
It really is amazing the range of things you can do in your shop. :) Also, I've enjoyed your more "freestyle" builds since your "think twice" motorized bicycle. :)
I think I would have cut the fiberglass to fit the frame, rather than cut the frame to fit the fiberglass, except perhaps for lowering the engine mount, but I don't see a problem with having the body high in back to clear the engine, not cutting out the center rear deck support and screwing in other, wood or metal, structural supports for the rear deck to each side of the engine. I would not have narrowed the rear frame and am concerned that the narrower axle bearings might bend the axle, especially with an adult. An adult also has more use for a full width frame.
That engine came off of a generator. You can tell because of the unknown black box - you’re correct it’s a charcoal canister. Epa rules require them on generators due to the long run times that they see.
In my experience, generator motors always have a tapered shaft. I was curious and I googled around and the only hits are for a wood chipper and a log splitter
@@davemiller262Makes sense! Another piece of equipment that runs for long periods
And also sits unused for long periods of time.
I would add a front and rear bumper to protect the body. That buggy is neat!!
I've revived car door seals using petroleum jelly: coat them, let them sit with the door open and they puff right up. Repeat if needed. Works like a charm.
Good video Darren!
😂 Always big fun with Mustie 1. Have a great week. 😊
Good.job. Nice show (cool VW.mini)👍👍👍👏👏👏😍
Sunday mornings with Mustie are the best…always interesting.
Always cool to see you unleash your fabrication skills on a project and show what a bit of vision and know how can bring a pile of random things into something cool.Looking forward to seeing your final product. As always appreciate you sharing your mad skill set with us...well done.😎🛠️👍🔧🏎️⛽
Glad you enjoyed it!
Slime works great for sealing up old tire leaks. My Mule has it in all 4 tires sealing up sidewall leaks, same with my Bobcat Skidsteer.
I'm jealous of the VW body. I would road trip from Pennsylvania for something like that
I think a torque converter and disk brake would do wonders for that little beast...and also, PLEASE build a baja stinger type exhaust for it!!!!
Beating the sprocket sounds like the church bell from little house on the prairie
What a cool toy!! ❤ I was thinking it you cut a smaller square at the license plate and then add around the cut magnets top two sides and put a fun license to cover! Beable to reach spark plug and adjust carb!!
Reminds me of an old '70s Rupp Ruppster. I wanted one of those so bad when I was a kid.
There is one i like about your channel. You always getting something running no matter the shape its in lol.
Nothing better after a brisk 10 mile brisk New England walk is a nice cup of hot cocoa and a Sunday episode of Mustie1. Life is great!!!
Sounds like my trip to the food shop, I went to get a bottle of milk, came out with cakes, a steak and a six pack 🤣🤣🤣
As a small advice. You can use bicycle tubeless sealant To fix those dry-rot leaks on the tires. I fixd my kids atv wheels with that like 6months ago and its holding air perfectly. It doesnt make as much mess as heavier stuff for cars etc
Congrats! Geat video, you should be a teacher to get boys excited fixing and creating things.
Try Berryman's tire sealant for dry rotted tires. Supposedly transmission fluid seals tires also, never tried it. Cool little kart.
Mini Keg Gas Tank! 😀
Another cool video. Watching from Texas.
Really love this one Darren! Love the videos of you making stuff from scratch!!!
