      I honestly feel that Double Fantasy was his best album. He was a mature man. This is just a beauty. Easily as good as anything McCartney did. Though Paul was fantastic too. We were robbed of this great artist.

      @IsaacWale2004 . of course. I grew up with, JFK assassination and Beatles rise, as the backdrop to my youth. I miss JOHN all the time...GEORGE as well.
      I was just being flippant, sorry. Nary a day goes by that the reality of THEM, and JOHN and GEORGE being gone, blazes loudly in my mind.😢

      That’s pretty normal, trying to keep the lungs filled for uniform projection. As a grisly aside, if you research reports on his gunshot wounds, the doctor noted his heart and lung (left) were in surprisingly good condition. He’d have lived to be a great old man. 😢

    John had such wonderful vocal abilities, even on these runs, it is apparent that he possessed wide range. His highs came so easy and smooth. Truely one of the greatest....just based on his extraordinary vocals and range. He could be so soft in high range with emotional communication, and then he could be chest vocal with either high note, or rasp and powerful while keeping it emanating from down low in the chest. Then he could just as easily switched it to a high note coming from his head. Oh yeah....he also used - phrasing & breath, to his virtuosity, just like the COB Frank Sinatra.

    Why George Martin ever said Paul was the one that found it easier to write melodies while John was better at lyrics, I don't know.. They both were equal at writing melody and John was a bit better at words.

    • @edharvest
      @edharvest 9 месяцев назад +5

      Paul had less linear melodies, and was more of a story teller. As opposed to John, who liked singing in one note for melodies and wrote literally about anything. But i agree that Paul was a little better at melodies.

    People don't remember that this album was actually flopping before he was murdered. The LP and the 45 for "Starting Over" had peaked and were going back down on the charts. It had been completely trashed by the UK and US music critics. Sad that it took him dying for people to really appreciate this record.
