I absolutely adore that George arpeggio during the ending section. 19:56 All these years I had never heard it until I saw a cover by Michael Sokeil. Now eveytime I listen out for that section. It’s gorgeous.
07:00 I know John doubletracked his vocal on the demo but that is Paul McCartney singing in harmony with him through the whole song. Would be amazing to be able to isolate it.
It's hard to hear, but I do think Paul and maybe George sang lead throughout to make John's vocals stronger as they couldn't separate out the piano. I don't think we'll be able to isolate it for a while unless a new 5.1/atmos mix comes out that has that separated from John's lead.
Seen your Beatles videos of your mixes of the songs are amazing, much better quality, I hope you do "Real Love" mix much better than the actual song in your channel because I can barely hear the vocals.
Fascinating (although AI still has a way to go before it is truly great at isolating one set of frequencies, and doing that intelligently). Many thanks for posting this.
At the moment Vocals, bass, drums, and piano are AI's strongest separation at least in the programs I use. Everything I've used has a harder time with acoustic and electric guitar separation. Strings and wind instruments are the worse right now there isn't a model that is very great only okay. I'm sure the MAL tech used by Giles Martin is a lot better.
Always liked this song. PGR didn't like making this one bc they felt it was too complete and they were a backing band for John. But I think it showcases where they were as musicians by this time. Great example is George's slide guitar which was never on a 60s Beatles record. The 19996 songs are a time capsule of what they had become after being apart. If/when we get an updated version of FAB and Real, it will be interesting to see if they restore John's voice like they did on Now and Then. Be great to hear them with a high fidelity lead vocal.
I remember first hearing the gorgeous version of Real Love on the soundtrack to the Imagine film in the late 80's when I was a teenager. I know they worked with what Yoko gave them (don't know if they had a choice of which version to use) but why oh why wasn't all this work done with THAT version of the song? The acoustic guitar version was probably barely touched (eq'd or edited) when they put it on that soundtrack. It would have produced so much better of an end result. When you play it over speakers today it sounds like John is in the room with you. Such a missed opportunity.
Hey i know this isnt one og your kessoku band song videos, but sick hack just became a thing on all platforms and they included an instrumental can you do an isolated tracks on that song?
@@isolatedstems ohhh i havent seen this. Thank you. Also I hope sick hack becoming official on spotify and yt music and stuff means they will release new music bc thid has been my favorite japanese song since i heard the full thing
@@Cheetah-lq2sy A new Sick Hack song would be sick, but for now it seems like they're only releasing new Kessoku Band songs. Like they are releasing new songs tomorrow.
Couldn't get a good isolation of it, but since Paul just doubles that piano anyhow I didn't see the need to continue with it. Plus there's always the original demo.
@@ilovemusic7748 Both produced pretty lousy isolations. For the Free As A Bird video it was imbedded in the piano track already so was isolated along with the overdubbed piano. For Real Love the 1+ 5.1 mix had the overdub piano on it's own. The Anthology 5.1 mix had the overdubbed piano combined with the original piano with the acoustic guitars I think. So when I tried to isolate the pianos it would pick up the acoustic guitars as well along with the organ and other instruments. This video already had some questionable isolations so I just left out John's piano to have a good piano isolation.
As with Free as a Bird, there are some great individual parts in there that get totally lost in the overly dense mix. Too many instruments playing essentially the same thing.
5.1 surround sound mixes if there is one usually have the backing vocals separated. It's just a matter of vocal isolation. If that doesn't work ai isolation will usually give you an alright isolation
Harrison wouldn’t work with George Martin, he thought he would side with Paul too much. The official story was that George Martin’s hearing wasn’t good anymore but that was rubbish because he was still producing for another three or four years.

OMG George’s solo and fills are mindblowing. Sweet and sour. Powerful and delicate.
Ringo's drum fills here are up there with anything he did in the 60s. Just phenomenal.
ah, Real Love is one of my all time faves from this band
well done with the acoustic guitars and piano! very clean!
Superb job!

Now and then
I think George might also sing “no need to be alone cause of anthology footage”
I thought that too, but I couldn't hear it so decided to leave it at Paul.
Johns vocal has had Paul’s vocal added to it….Paul does a great job of matching it.

Can someone confirm if the first few notes of the guitar solo is a harmonized guitar or if an octavia pedal is being used???
I can't confirm it, but it sounds a lot like an octavia pedal to me.
