They say John was a difficult person, but I've listened to about 200 outtakes and in all of them he was playful and in good humour, except perhaps on the Imagine album. He always gave his session musicians a lot of creative freedom.

These session musicians did a great job following, and interpreting his directions, likes, dislikes, and needs. He knew exactly the sound he was looking for, and guided them there. Incredible, and exciting hearing it all unfold.

Completely taken back to like another dimension in time listening to this, this afternoon.
God not only the greatest voice but a real down to Earth Man.
What a loss, miss John so much.
A part of me still doesn't accept that he's gone.❤

Esta rola es una de las más emblemáticas de Lennon, porque proyecta con claridad su personalidad y por su estructura musical y la letra, además de ser bellísima. 👏👏👏👏

Great song. I prefer the acoustic version, with just Lennon and his acoustic guitar. It's on the album John Lennon Acoustic.
It's also easy to play on the guitar, which i learned because the Acoustic album has all the chords to all the tracks on the album, which are mostly demos from the Lennon Anthology Collection.

I'm glad you didn't use the added reverb on John's vocal HMC source. Can't wait to hear the official deluxe version in maybe 4 years?

I wonder if Whiter Shade Of Pale was in the back of his mind when he wrote this? the WTW chorus vaguely resembles the descending WSOP organ line, even his switch to falsetto seems to (again vaguely) resemble the way the high organ note cuts in, some accounts say he was infatuated by that song so maybe

It has the Imagine piano but kinda changed up. This is a master class on songwriting production and arrangements. Anyone who thinks JL wasn't on point is way off. May save rock roll if taken apart...Dylan imitation is priceless

@@auramac 😂😂,(I didn't mean he was thinking of dying, but he was in a better position to die since he seems to be at peace with himself) .... No matter what we all are going to die, we'd better get ready to die because we will eventually die . John Lennon assassination is a perfect example why we should be ready to die because we don't know how soon and how violent our death 💀 could be .
