I think for this hypothetical origin game, it’d be the perfect opportunity to have the Spectacular Spider-Man suit be canon. Like throughout the game the Ditko-inspired suit gets torn to shreds, and in an ending similar to No Way Home, we see him make a suit that echoes the classic suit we’d see Peter have in the first game.
I think Peter generally kept the same classic suit from since he was bit till when he made the advanced suit, since in the game we can collect a backpack that has an image of his first time climbing the empire state building to get rid of his fear of heights and he's wearing the classic suit in that.

Some interesting concepts to add is how Peter met Harry and MJ. In the Miles Morales game, Peter's recordings to Miles give some lore details about this Peter's life. One of which was how when Uncle Ben died, Peter kinda shut down and everybody at school avoided him, all except for Harry. He was the first person to go up to Peter and ask how he was doing, and the rest is history.
It seems like this story wouldn't just be about Peter figuring out how to be Spider-man, it would also be about how he reinvents himself as Peter Parker. Over the course of the game, he becomes a bit less angsty as he gets closer to Harry and MJ, he begins to brush off the negative press that originally really bugged him, etc
I think there should be a vast difference in attitude between the “origins” Peter and the older Peter, I think Peter should be (while cautious) brash and arrogant, he’s a teenager who’s been bullied all his life and got super powers by chance, he’s gonna feel a bit better than other people.
Also, “Peter missions”. I think the kingpin should be introduced through a mission playing as Peter Parker. This could also implement a camera system for daily bugle missions.
Another idea, maybe a focus the relationship between Peter and Mary Jane?

I dunno why, but I always liked when Spider-Man gets more serious and angry, not that he straight up becomes Batman, but when he has his little moments in certain situations, he can appear as terrifying despite him being a genuinely good and caring person and I feel like his really inexperienced, younger teenager phase would be a perfect place to insert that in.
Also I feel like, even if it would be a bitch and a half to do, to completely shift not only the gameplay, but the general atmosphere of it as well. It would make no sense for this Peter to be better, or at least as good as Peter is in the current game, so how would you do it without it making it feel lazy? It'd just ground up the tone
I’d love it if his Prodigy, Dusk, Ricochet and Hornet suits were in the game like “just in case the whole Spider-Man identity doesn’t work out”
Or for like a montage for him choosing what superhero he wants to be for his origin and then he finally chooses the ditko Spidey suit. During the montage he chosed the suit Spiderman and maybe for choosing the colors for the suit u can have a montage with the orange and purple suit from the Steve Ditko comics.
if you were to add another villain I think it should be shocker, considering in the original he mentions how they’ve had history. Like a side mission or something where they meet idk
For plot I think having Peter meet some of his villains for the first time would be very cool. Lizard, Sandman, and Mysterio would be good choices since they had easter eggs in the 1st game. For suits I think having the Vigilante suit from TASM1 would fit the aesthetic you went with

1. have Peter have to choose whether to stop a crime, or go on a date with Gwen, therefore affecting his life one way or another.
2. The Spectacular Spider-Man suit would fit really well in this game.
3. I think your idea with Fisk is cool, but for me, Mysterio, Vulture or Goblin should be the main villain in this game.

Your first idea seems similar to the first game when he has to choose between taking down Fisk, and having to pay his rent, but choosing to stop Fisk, so your idea could work well, if it's similar to that.

Simple idea I have for the intro level of the game. Remember how in the TASM 2 game it starts off with Uncle Ben's murder? Start off with Peter in his costume, without his mask, like in Spider-Man 1, letting the thief get away. Have him be super cocky and selfish, like he was in Amazing Fantasy #15. Then have the first swing be him going after the thief, right after he finds out what happened, and getting to the old warehouse. The thief is the game's introduction "boss". Have it be stealth based, and have no music during the fight, just like the scene in Spider-Man 1.
This person who killed uncle Ben could be Fisks main officer which fixes into PSM's story

It makes sense for Spider-man to not have the best quality suit in this game because in Marvels Spider-man he explains how he used to have a non insulated suit until he upgraded to an insulated suit because of Electro
I think what would be a fun mechanic for the game Peter should do side missions in Midtown high like make a web fluid in science class or you could implement I think that The word to just walk around and just explore.
Bully types of scenarios....would be neat^^
A Spider-Man game with lite life sim elements would be really cool, so you still have cool combat and web swinging, but also persona esk things like having a job for money to get supplies, hanging out with friends (which in persona 5 gives combat benefits, so maybe something similar could happen here with Peter hanging out with Harry and mj, make it optional but hanging out with them more gives Peter ideas for combat or something). You can have the picture/daily bugle idea, and if you want to make extra money in it have the fan favorite pizza delivery stuff in it as well.
You say this now but it would actually be very annoying.
That's why the web fluid mechanic from Spider-Man PS1 is still the best. Spidey actually having to worry about running out of web and panicking while falling mid swinging. There was even the Sega Genesys game that had you taking pictures of enemies to get money and make more web fluid. If people don't want it to be implemented because it would make it too hard, they could make it a "turn on/off" feature before starting the game. OG gamers would totally dig it, while casuals can also have the easy way.

It’s a mechanic that would get very boring and tedious very quickly. That’s why they don’t even spend much time showing it in the movies, cartoon, or games. It’s not fun to watch him make web fluid every time he runs out. Maybe as a one time mini game but after that it’s just tedious for the sake of being tedious.
The suit should absolutely be the AF#15 suit for the majority of the game, but after the end fight he could make a new one based on the John Romita Sr. design, which then would evolve later in his life to the classic suit!
I feel like he should make the new one after the "if this be my destiny" part of the story, obviously doc ock can't be used but it doesn't have to follow the story 100%, just use that segment from it where he lifted the rubble and give him a similar motivation to what he had in the book. Then after that he realises what it means to be Spider-Man and makes the John Romita Sr suit

I would love to see a leveling mechanic where he gets specific suit upgrades from defeating certain villains. He mentions learning how to make better lenses from Mysterio’s helmet, and whatnot. There could even be a mission where he inadvertently leaves a backpack with something in it, hinting at us searching for them later. I love what you’ve made so far and now I have all kinds of ideas spinning in my head. You could even go a step further with the homemade suit idea and have him collect rudimentary parts from enemies and different spots in the city (similar to how the Horizon series handles crafting). You could even make the suits have a dye system since they are homemade. So many ideas!
A suit crafting system would be awesome, imagine creating your own.
Like you say, different bits from different enemies, different solutions to different problems. He can tear off some of Electro's insulation and unlock the material, crack Mysterio's helm and get his fogged lenses. The MCU apertures could come from him first meeting Octavius, obviously without a fight, he can just salvage a scrapped pair of goggles. Would be fun to unlock the faceplate too, ideally early game, so people don't complain about the lack of it.
I love the idea of gathering loose tech from villains to improve spideys gear. Very cool.
I think that instead of the actual rami suit, you should get the human spider outfit that Toby wears. As well as this there should also be the vigilante suit from tasm 1, but the normal tasm 1 suit still works with the theme.

To be fair integrated is probably the closest thing we will get to a kind of comic accurate iron spider
I feel like this could be a good game to release in between Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 so that fans have some new content to play whilst they wait for the third game. Similar to how Miles Morales was a short game to enjoy whilst waiting for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
or like arkham origins was inbetween city and knight

That picture for the daily bugle pitch was pretty good they should add something like that in the PS4 sequel game!!
STORY:
Okay I like your story with Kingpin and the mutant girl. I feel like it was a 616 version of that Geldoff story from Ultimate (that ended up going nowhere). However, to make a whole game, I feel like there should be 4 other storylines and maybe something more life changing. So I would include:
-Lizard's origin: Which would have sewer level fights, with censors and other mechanical traps
-Mysterio Origin: Various "illusions" to make use of the free roam map. Things like zombies, tornados, etc
-Sandman: This would be the story of how Peter got him trapped in that vial from PS4. His minions would be human sized sand people or sand clones. The boss fights would be larger scale.
-First Vulture
And then the B story would be JJ creating Scorpion and how Gargan slowly shows his true side of psychotic nature. JJ would have to retract all of the negative comments about Spider-Man from that month and renounce his praise of Gargan. In this, the police would team up with Spider-Man to stop Scorpion and this would be how he first meets Yuri Watanabe.
GAMEPLAY:
I'd like to finally have a game that allows us to "life sim" Peter Parker. That is to say you can switch from Spider-Man to Peter with the same mechanic used in PS4. That was where as long as Peter was out of view he could switch. So alleyways, rooftops and sewers would have value. And when you play as Peter, enemies react as if they can't see you. Obviously, you can't switch during a boss fight, but let's say you wanted to pass a hideout or enemy base, you could switch to Peter and they wouldn't shoot at you.
In Peter mode, you'd be able to catch taxis, use the subway, enter comicshops and other stores or interact with story characters: Harry, May, MJ, JJ, etc.
The Peter mode story missions would be character based, slower paced stories that are all optional. BUT playing them would change outcomes of interactions in the main story. Let me explain:
Character interactions when you DO NOT play the Peter missions would all be relatively neutral. However, if, say you went on dates with MJ or met Harry at certain locations, and increase their disposition, then you could unlock extra/additional or alternative cutscenes. So let's say that there's a scene where you meet MJ at a location on the map:
1.) If you don't play those missions, she talks to you about how there's so many super powered people popping up all over town.
2.) If you have played some of or up to 50% of her missions, she confides that she's scared of NYC and is worried about Harry.
3.) You've completed all of the missions and she has learned that you're Spider-Man. She feels safe because you're around and is worried about Harry, but feels that everything is going to work out in the end.
For me, this would be great fun because their missions could be storyline reasons for things like collectibles and softer, less-action focused side quests. JJ wants you to collect 25 landmark photos for the Bugle. Harry wants you to meet him at various locations within a certain time. You need to meet MJ at a restaurant for a date, so you need to stop at a bodega and buy flowers or some random item the game tells you to pick up, and you can't go to the date until you purchase the item.
One last thing for anyone reading this: My idea is that these characters wouldn't just be standing around inside, but would be found in interior locations. MJ at her apartment, Harry at Oscorp, JJ at the Daily Bugle, May at her home. You cannot enter these locations as Spider-Man. So just for a change of pace, you'd have to change to Peter. HOWEVER, these side missions are optional, so you could just stop in to say "Hi." or just chat with them to get little unique dialogues. After you've maxed their disposition, they unlock a unique skins for themselves.
MJ: The classic Spider-Man Shirt and blue jeans
JJ: Bald NWH look
Harry: Red Cornrows look for both him and Norman
May: Marissa Tomei skin (Doesn't have to be her exact likeness, but the skin would be just called "Young May" or something)
These NPC skins would be available as purchaseable DLC for anyone who doesn't want to do the Parker missions a few months after release. But I'd definitely love to have skin changes for more than just Spider-Man. Just imagine the endless replayability of even Spider-Man PS4, if we could have changed other characters without mods, before the pc remaster?
Here are some suits I'd like to see:
-70s Supaidaman suit
-Marvel Personal Appearance Group Suit
-Both the 50s and 60s Ben and Cooper suits
-Nicholas Hammond suit (yes with the ugly ass drain cover eyes)
-The "Electric Company" suit
I was thinking that the big villian for the story would be the Kingpin who hired the Enforcers to hunt and squash the Spider and the side villans would be The Chameleon and Vulture who are robbing places in difrent ways and it's up to the web head to find out a way to stop both of them
And for alternate suits I think the Todd Mcfarlan's artowork from back in the late 80s, Human Spider outfit from Spider-man 2002 would work and one of the suits that's from the Amazing Spider-man 1 concept art "just picture the suit used in the movie but it has the red belt part on the suit (like in the comics) and eyes look more like Ditko's but in a gold color"

I think maybe Kingpin could also be the reason why villains like Vulture, Rhino, or Mysterio are created, maybe we could see how fights played out like the Rhino fight on the Brooklyn Bridge, or when Vulture almost blinded him by cracking his Leyte lenses, you know stuff we heard about in the original game when we collect the backpacks.
All the homemade suits from the movies seem like a good fit IMO, as it fits with Peter still trying to find a Spider Suit. And maybe somewhere in the game his suit getting damaged in a way so he has to resort to his homemade suit never before seen in any other Spider-Man media. (something like when tony took away his suit in homecoming so he had to use the homemade suit in the fight against vulture.) Including the Vulture as a boss in this game would make sense as in Spider-Man Miles Morales, Peter talks about how the people of New York "adored him" after he saved the day against the Vulture.
I feel like a perfect suit (which imo should be the main suit) would be the classic Ditko suit. With a black and red color scheme, squinty eyes, and web wings. And an add on for the Bugle thing, I would make it an area you can actually access. Kinda like Peter and Ottos lab in the first game. You’d get to meet iconic characters like Betty Brant, Ned Leeds, and Robbie Robertson
Building off the photo mod idea, it would be cool if the photos appeared on newspaper in cutscenes as well as on newspapers npcs have when they walk around.
I think you could replace the Josephine character with black cat. I think that would be cool. Seeing spidey and cat in there early years. Also for a suit I’d like to see amazing Spider-Man’s films first suit with the sunglasses. Idk why I just find some charm in the simplicity of the suit.
The line of dialog in the game was "electro was the first superpowered person I fought" and so this is a good idea
I think it would mess up the continuity since spiderman met black cat as an adult in this universe
But Spidey meets Cat as an adult, not a high school student…
Maybe replace Josephine with Electro himself. It makes sense considering Max and Peter have a strange bond (example being Electro understanding Spider-Man's Rocky Balboa reference)
@@pizzatime4204 - Aunt May also referred to Felicia Hardy as an "older woman," so having her meet Peter when he's fifteen would be pretty iffy. Peter met Black Cat in his college days in the comics, which just feels more fitting for the characters overall.
Personally, I like the idea of using a lesser-known character like Josephine in a story like this. Everyone already knows the big-name Spider-Man villains. It'd be nice to give the smaller ones a shot. Kingpin would already be the main villain, anyway.
An idea for the photo mode:
Perhaps the combo meter could be used in part for the grading? Like, if your combo meter was high, along with the parameters you named, the bonus could be higher
oh also, fun fact, spider webbing naturally possesses healing properties in real life! Its really amazing, and research is being done to potentially use it for the same purposes you proposed
You could add a side plot about the bugle and at the end of the game he gets fired and since every body knows kingpin what about some crime bosses like hammer head sable plus costume I think the home made suit from ultimate spider man would be a nice addition. maybe with the money you get better materials for webs that heal you faster
I think the Raimi wrestling suit from Spider-Man 1 could be really cool and fit with the ‘early Spider-Man’ feeling :)
Origins is actually my second favorite game after Ark City. Both games had the smoothest combat out of the series.
An origins title would be really cool to have possibly in between Spider-Man 2 and whatever title they release next, similar to Miles' game. I would totally main the Ultimate Comics suit.
Something interesting for this hypothetical title would be the music. In the first game, it's a lot of motivating orchestra to symbolize Peter's pure hearted nature, while Miles' game had a lot of that mixed with hip hop and electronic beats to symbolize his interests and his more upbeat personality. What if in this game, it was the classic orchestra themes but mixed with some rock or breakbeat, similar to Kevin Manthei's score for the Ultimate Spider-Man game? I think it'd be neat to have the harsher tones symbolize Peter's guilt and angst in his early days.
I think for the swinging it should be a mix between fortnite and ultimate spiderman. since this is an origin story, peter will have to pay attention as to where his webs are going so aiming at the buildings to shoot your webs would be cool. also since he's new he'd be going fast asf, not super fast but fast enough to make peter piss his pants. it could also have the type of air tricks like the miles game. maybe fall damage too

this is just straight up nonsense. Peter no matter what age would have to pay attention to where his webs are going, whether he’s a kid or an adult, if he misses a web shot at 60 stories high, he’s gonna be danger no matter the age
also he should be swinging fast asl no matter the age as well, if anything he should be swinging faster as an adult than as a teen. Though him being scared of swinging and ofc of heights makes sense, though he’d probably get over it quickly since he can’t exactly do what he does if he’s basically tweakin every time he has to go out
@@yee9098 I get what you're saying but I meant in the context of the gameplay. In the first spider man ps4 game and miles you don't need to pay attention to where your webs are going, you just go swinging. I'd thought it'd be a good idea that you have to aim at the buildings to know where you're web is going (like fortnite's webswing)for the prequel games. Obviously in the first ps4 game peter doesn't have to aim at the buildings because he's been spiderman for sometime
I could see this as an expansion for a future game. When it comes to Spider-Man, I think we all just want to move forward
I love the concepts you have! One more returning suit I would have is the classic suit from the first game but that one would only be unlocked at the end of the game. the ending cutscene would show Peter in it but you can only unlock it for 100% completion of the game. For the main story, I would add more side villains who Kingpin hires along with Jackie to hunt Spider-man. They would consist mostly of C and D listers like Shocker in his Classic suit and maybe some other villains (2-3 max) and when you defeat each one they will give a hint as to who hired them. As for side missions, one of them could invlove the Lizard's first transformation and would end in a fight in the highschool hallways. It becomes a side mission when one day Peter is at school but notices something off about Doctor Conners so he investigates as both Peter and Spider-man and figures out what's going on.
Sorry for the long comment but these are some ideas I had that you may like!
Edit: There are rumours that Queens will be in SM2 so maybe in this hypothetical Origin game they can make Queens where the game takes place. Would work really well with an early days Spider-man
You do have something good going here with this 'Joey.' She makes sense as a _'first'_ super-powered foe, but one borne out of her being manipulated by the *real* big bad of the story (Kingpin).
I love how this is the one time in a major non-comic Spider-Man story that they completely skip over the origin and they still make us want the origin 😭
3:00 dude to your point, i love when a suit looks like its made from real-world materials that i recognize. Idk why Miles Morales gets shit for the first two suits in his game, but i always see the Sportswear and Great Responsibility suits at the bottom of peoples 'favorite suit' lists.
Esp. in the GR suit, i love seeing wrinkles, seams, and spaces where the fit isnt perfect. Being able to look at a suit and say "ive seen that fabric before" is far more satisfying than saying "that looks like it's bulletproof and from the future." I would fucking love that in a Peter Parker game. Even Pete's first suit in his game is unrecognizable in material. It's textured like a basketball, and just doesn't look like something real-world.
I would also like if midway through the game it makes it so that the daily bugle pays you more if you take pictures of Spider-man doing bad things which conflicts peter especially if him and may are in a bad financial situation
I think a suit based on Lee Bermejo's art of Spider-Man would work well for a game based on his early years

i LOVE that you brought up Amazing Fantasy 16-18 as inspiration, that little mini is underrated as well as great as exploring peter’s very early days as the webhead + joey being an antagonist is cool too

Also I think what you could add on it: Chameloen would be Kingpins body gaurd and would have a boss fight where he copy’s Spider-Man, Scorpion should also be in the game when Jameson hires, mat gargan to put an end to Spider-Man, he could either be in the middle of the games story or a bonus mission
Also what about including the original Alex Ross concepts for Spider-Man (2002)
I would love it if this game included a lot of more obscure characters like Joey, and I have a perfect suggestion. Peter's girlfriend Chat. She's a character from the Spider-Man adventures line of comics, a mutant who can talk to animals. She and Peter have great chemistry and she's a really interesting character who hasn't gotten enough spotlight as there aren't many series that use high school age Peter Parker these days. Maybe they could also include Clash from Dan Slott's Learning To Crawl miniseries! I'd love to see more of these obscure early days characters in other media.
I'd just say the biggest thing is build up the relationship with harry
Maybe we could see Peter and Harry’s friendship develop and maybe they aren’t friends yet and they meet sometime in this game and we could see Peter and MJ get together and maybe she breaks up with him because she doesn’t know that he’s Spider-Man and just thinks he’s always standing her up and then they would get back together and break up again sometime between this game and marvels Spider-Man also we could see Peter upgrade as the situations call for it maybe his webs aren’t strong enough and people can tear them too easily so he makes them stronger we could also see Norman talk about running for mayor like in a level when Peter is over at Harry’s house there could be a dlc with Lizard, sandman, and maybe black cat and maybe side missions with villains we already know like shocker and we can see aunt May start working at feast and we could meet Martin Lee and show Peter admiring Otto we could be able to go to Peter’s room and find other designs he’s sketched out for a Spider-Man suit and maybe he could have rented a book on sewing and no I’m not proof reading this

I personally would want to see costumes from the various iterations of Spider-Man that were Peter's prototype suit (i.e. the Raimi wrestling costume, MCU homemade costume, the mask and sweater getup from Ultimate Spider-Man, etc.)
Tbh this would be awesome. I can imagine it almost being to Spider-Man 2, what Miles Morales was to Spider-Man 1. Because Miles' game is pretty originy. Would be a cool idea, I almost imagine it like Spectacular Spider-Man as a game, given that take place in his first year as Spidey
I think for this origin story, to make it a little bit longer, it could use story elements from those collectible we find throughout the ps4 game. Want to see how his lens got broken before making better ones. Want to see how he made conductive webbing whenever he fought electro. You know just the little small stuff that he explained and experienced how it came to be and how he fixed those issues could be used for story purposes
Well the backpacks in the first spider-man game depicts how his highschool life was like. While also adding the stories Peter gave to Miles during the challenges in the Miles game, you could piece them and the backpacks together and maybe add more things to of your own to complete it, as long as it goes along with the current story, I think it could make a good spider-man origins game. But the suit at the thumbnail of what could be his first suit ever, I think it's very accurate
I really like the idea of the HUD and UI design, also, maybe having the map you can go into look like a cartoon, drawn map would be cool, like something a teenager would mock-up in his bedroom, having parts look squiggly and messy, having the names look like they are written in sharpy, something cool like that, just add more character and re-affirming this is a different game with a different design. I like the ideas you came up with, would be interesting to see the introductions into certain characters we get to know, not explicitly introduced but they are mentioned, people like Yuri Watanabe, Black Cat, Otto, etc just so we have a bit more development into their relationships we see in the first game. I really want to see his relationship with people like MJ and Aunt May develop and have a clear throughline from this one to the first game. Maybe there is a side mission in which you have to do a timed run to get to a restaurant for a first date with MJ or something like that, I want the side missions to really feel like the world this Spiderman is living in, I like the idea Daily Bugle being a major part of the story as you take photos for them to earn money/credits for suits and upgrades, that's a really neat idea. I want to see characters being added that we know of like Flash maybe has a scene or something, or Betty Brandt, or Harry, someone who we are familiar with to add to the atmosphere of the game. I wouldn't want this story to be heavy in plot or in tone, I just want a cool little prequel game that adds to the story we already have. I would call it Marvel's Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man or something like that. Would be awesome.

He should be a senior in high school, friends with Harry before “he went to Europe” and starting to date MJ, and he should only be scared and quiet before the spider bite in flashbacks. Everything else was perfect
Great idea for a game! I agree with your assessment of how Batman is treated in media, especially when compared to other worthy heroes. I'm a huge Batman fan, but I wish they gave Superman the same sort of love.
A fun suit idea would be one with a cape. I think since Peter is just starting out and tryin to flesh out who he wants to be, in contrast or comparison to what he thinks a hero looks like, it would be fun to have an alt costume with a cape.

Peter admits that Electro was Spider-Man’s first super powered villain when you read the corresponding news clipping in Otto’s lab so I think it’d be pretty cool to have Electro as a major antagonist.

As cool as I think an "Arkham Origins" type game for Spidey would be, I don't really think it's needed. Instead it would be really cool if Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has the player do some flashback missons or play certain segments as Peter in his early years, with an entirely different set of swinging and combat animations. If the game ends up being completely centered around Peter with some Miles sprinkled in, the game could START with a flashback establishing Peter and Harry's friendship, then something happens and Peter has to suit up, then we play through the tutorial as an inexperienced Spider-Man who's adapting with the controls along with the player, it'd be nice.
We could play as Teenage Peter during flashbacks or during missions where you're inside his mind as the symbiote consumes him and shows him certain unfortunate events that happened in his life during his early years. You could make Teen Peter the 100% Completion reward and get to switch between both Peters, and not only do you get to free roam as him, you could have him fight alongside Miles during CO-OP missions, and it would be funny if it also had some unique dialogue with a Homemade-Styled, Low-Tech Peter meeting a Fancy, high-tech Miles.
It would be pretty difficult to make a entire set of animations just for a flashback character
I think the main villain for a prequel game for Spider-Man PS4 undoubtedly would be Electro, since canonically in this universe, Electro was the first supervillain spidey fought. There's already a full novel dedicated to Peter's struggles to take down Electro and how it impacted his approach to being a superhero. There could easily be a video game adaptation of that novel, but expanded to include Peter's early encounters with other notable figures in the Insomniac games.
I feel like the unused Raimi suit by Alex Ross would be fitting.

Then something could happen where something bad happens when Peter tries to obtain money too easily which causes him to chill out a bit from doing it, this could fit well onto the fact in Spiderman Ps4 about the whole Peter Winning something, but Peter didn't want the money so they gave him all those backpacks instead
Instead of going back to be an inexperienced Peter, I've always preferred to have a Mayday Parker game when she's a rookie instead, for something fresh. I like the idea though!
I cool idea would be that instead of a gadget wheel, he has a setting wheel for his web shooters. Like, he can create constructs like web nets, parachutes (if fall damage becomes a mechanic), web gloves, etc. Maybe they can establish that he stopped using them because they used up too much web fluid. Or even cooler, nerf the swinging depending on how far you are into the game. For example, he could only be able to swing so high until he gets upgrades to enable to swing at higher altitudes.
YES! Ultimate Spider-Man has been my favorite comic run and I hope we do eventually get that suit in all of it’s glory. And great ideas for an origin game!
Good ideas, but one thing that I really miss in the story was the presence of Gwen Stacy, she is very deep in the origin of Spiderman, I think that having her in the game would help transform Peter into the Spiderman we know, either through the interactions With her or her death, that could even open the door for MJ, but that's just my opinion.

I would love for the story to be focused more on a power struggle for top dog for New York. We get to meet Kingpin, Hammerhead and Tombstone for the first time. Three lords of crime which Spider-Man has to breakdown and defeat. With villain meetings for the first time chameleon, lizard, sandman, mysterio. And then the introduction of villains we’ve already met in game for the first time: Shocker and vulture.
I would also love to see a little more Peter Parker content with him facing teenage hardship. Whether it’s him struggling to actually get into Midtown from his home in Queens or his camera breaking during a fight.

I think the cameras for fights should work kind of hell they did for the screw ball missions but after you are finished stopping the crime they allow you to go in and edit the photos if you want to save them

I like the photo money idea. I think maybe if you make it like the screwball photo bombs would be nice, because it would be familiar to the player and kinda keep it under control so players aren’t like taking a hundred pictures like you said. Also instead of Peter just taking enemies out in the photo area and activating the “photo bomb” mechanic what if he has to do a finisher on them or something like that. Idk I’m kinda just throwing something out there lol
In the game Spider-Man work for the daily bugle but after they gave him a lot of bad press he quit I think you should put that in this story or maybe he already quit somewhere early in the beginning

I'd love a game about an Origin to Ps4 Spider-man however I kinda disagree with some of your takes here
For one I feel this story should involve Fisk yes but I don't feel it should involve the girl instead I'd like to see a story where Spider-man faces off against some of his foes from the first game like Electro and Scorpion it'd be nice to see his first interactions with these guys
For the UI I like the style you went with it and feel it would've been pretty cool to see

i think something interesting would b having peter have web canisters that he has to restock and worry about in this game, that he would have to spend money on and have to take time to switch out the ones on his belt for the ones on his wrist, it seems a little annoying but would be interesting making the player have to be conscious of how much webbing their using, and if they use too much they might have to switch out their web canisters before they can heal.
maybe having it as a setting so it can be turned off would be good

Original suit concept:
Name: Homemade Armor
Design: Features elbow, knee, and shoulder pads that are spray painted red, a bullet proof vest spray painted red with the spider logo, a motorcycle helmet painted with the mask details, blue tactical fingerless gloves over the regular red gloves. Cuts, scratches, and dents would be throughout the costume, sloppy paint jobs as well. This is all on top of the main origin suit for this game.
Origin: He could have been beaten by Rhino or some other villain, so he used up a bunch of his money to buy the ingredients for the suit.
Suit Power: Don't know about the name, but the power itself just reduces damage by a good bit for a short amount of time.

I think having a Spider-Man game set in the 60s could be fun.
I really wished there was an overhaul mode in future Spider-Man games. Webswinging like the PS2 games did, limited webbing like the PS1 games did, money mechanics like the Sega Genesys games did.
Insomniac made it so players don't have to worry about anything. You don't have to aim where you shoot your web, you don't have to worry about fall damage, you don't even have to worry about hitting walls like Spider-Man actually has to, because the game already does everything for you. That's Beenox level of laziness, no cool animation gonna save that.
People put Insomniac games too much on a pedestal so it really makes difficult to see them actually trying to get better because "pFf tHeY aLrEaDy GoT iT pErFeCtLy" casual mentality.
That doesn’t sound like laziness, just seems like all the things you want to worry about in a Spider-Man game are trivial. In Batman Arkham, you can never run out of batarangs. Is that realistic? Absolutely not, but worrying about how many batarangs I have sounds like a trivial problem compared to worrying about enemies. I realize that many shooters might make you worry about ammo, but I think games like Insomniac’s Spider-Man and Batman Arkham are way more worried about making you feel like the character. Now I personally did find Insomniac’s first Spider-Man game a little lazy, but it had nothing to do with the issues you had (I loved the Miles game tho). You’re money mechanic isn’t bad tho. Peter does worry about money quite often. I think I’d enjoy these games having a few more Peter Parker moments, instead of just being Spider-Man all the time.

As someone who grew up with Peter Parker but was also in my early teens when Miles was first created, I love both of these and love all Spider-men/women Peter Parker Spider-man is my favorite super hero and honestly now that I’m all grown up and with most people my age also grew up mainly with Peter, I feel it is natural that Peter’s new main role is the washed wise adult Spider-man like Peter B. It just makes sense to me and it feels fluid and natural
If an origin game was done for insomniac's Spider-Man you'd know Electro would have to be in it. Because in the PS4 game there is a moment that Peter says Electro was the first super-villain he fought

I think the camera should be a gadget you scan the area and shoot a couple on the objects around you and it takes pictures which gives you more money
Starting the game while he's in High School would be cool. Maybe have the game start with his alarm clock and having to go through a day of school or something. Then it could lead to him getting bit. Then you could see how lonely Peter is. With the exception of his friend Harry.
