Who would win between Sable or Black Cat? Kraven or Lizard? Peter VS Miles? Today, Tylearned and I will answer those questions using the feats, statements, and calculations from the Insomniac Spider-Man series of games.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a 2023 action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, and features a narrative inspired by its long-running comic book mythology which is also derived from various adaptations in other media. It is the third entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, acting as a sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) and a follow-up to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). In this installment, Peter Parker and Miles Morales struggle to navigate the next steps in their personal lives while combating several new threats, including a private militia led by Kraven the Hunter, who transforms New York City into a hunting ground for super-powered individuals; and the extraterrestrial Venom symbiote, which bonds itself to Parker and negatively influences him, threatening to destroy his personal relationships.The gameplay builds on the foundation established by its predecessors, with an emphasis on the multiple playstyles afforded by Peter Parker and Miles Morales as Spider-Men. The game expands on their existing traversal and combat abilities, including new web-based gadgets and suits that can be unlocked through progressing in the story. It also introduces the former Spider-Man's symbiote suit, granting Parker unique abilities from his previous playable appearance. As with the prior games, content outside the main story consists of completing side-missions and obtaining collectibles dispersed throughout the game's open world, with the player able to switch between Parker and Morales to complete dedicated objectives for each of them.Discussions regarding a proper sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man began during the game's development, with open story threads for future titles being teased across both it and Miles Morales. The game was announced in September 2021. Creative director Bryan Intihar, game director Ryan Smith, narrative lead Jon Paquette and art director Jacinda Chew from Insomniac Games respectively reprise their duties from prior entries, while Yuri Lowenthal, Nadji Jeter and Laura Bailey return to headline the game's ensemble voice cast, which comprises other returning actors and characters from the previous games. Jim Pirri and Tony Todd join the ensemble as the voices of Kraven and Venom, respectively.Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was released for the PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023 to critical acclaim. Peter Parker starts his first day as a physics teacher at Brooklyn Visions Academy, with Miles Morales among his students, but they are interrupted by an attack by Sandman, requiring both of them to subdue him. Peter is fired for abandoning the class and returns to his Aunt May's home in Queens, which he has moved into following her death,[a] to meet with his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson. They are surprised to see their old friend Harry Osborn, who has miraculously recovered from his terminal illness. Harry offers to hire Peter to work at his new startup, the Emily-May Foundation (EMF), so they can "heal the world". Concurrently, Miles struggles to write his college application essay and learns that his mother Rio has begun dating.While overseeing a transfer of some of the Raft's inmates, Peter and Miles witness an attack by Kraven the Hunter and his forces, who capture Scorpion and Martin Li. While investigating Kraven, Peter discovers he is capturing super-powered individuals to hunt them for sport. Having already killed Scorpion and Vulture, Kraven attempts to capture Felicia Hardy next. On Peter and Mary Jane's behalf, Miles protects her and helps her escape to Paris. While visiting Coney Island to reconnect, Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry witness Kraven's hunters attack the park to capture Tombstone. While rescuing civilians caught in the crossfire, Harry learns about Peter's double life and reveals he was cured by Curt Connors via an organic exosuit that physically augments his body.With his powers rapidly developing, Harry helps Peter rescue Tombstone while Mary Jane discovers that Kraven has kidnapped Connors. The trio attempt to save Connors, but are unable to stop Kraven from forcibly turning him back into the Lizard. Connors escapes while Kraven mortally wounds Peter, though he is saved by Harry's exosuit, which transfers itself to his body. After Peter confronts Kraven with his newly enhanced powers, the latter develops an interest in hunting him personally.

Looking at lizard and Sandman’s placements really make me ask the question of “How the hell did a younger/weaker peter beat them before this game?”
Sandman likely never became giant, he was in a small vile in SM1; and Lizard in this game was given a stronger serum than he'd ever taken before and is stated stronger than ever by Insom. Hope that clears it up.

Also, keep in mind that during the Kraven the hunter boss fight Kraven himself said Peter was still holding back.
He was holding back in the sense that he's not a killer, but MMA fighters for instance can fight at full power without trying to kill the other guy. I don't think Peter wasn't hitting Kraven as hard as he could,

Yeah, he's strong, good and all, but he's way too close to that "Perfect" main character. I really see that they want to put Peter aside and make Miles almost the main point. I know what masterpiece of a plot was in 2018 and what came with Morales dlc. I really don't like it to be that way. 2018's story was about a simple person that can save the whole city, stop six of the most dangerous villains and almost anything. But in the end he simply couldn't save his aunt. And he came to this in 8 years of being spider man. While Miles, uhh... Can already beat the shit out of black suit Peter. Well, really cool, but I don't give a shit about this Mary Sue. If Miles is really so cool, I want to be born black in the next life
I am not surprised sandman is as high as he was. Especially since he has very specific and even circumstantial weaknesses, which even then if he gets a large enough supply of sand he could bounce back from any damage done to him.
14:03 True, however, for this specific scene, I think it's fair to argue it's a awkward position for Peter. It's much easier to push someone's arm downwards while you're on top of them. But overall, Miles was still relative in the full context of the fight, just wanted to point that scene out in particular.

Two things that I think should be mentioned here.
1) Peter says if the other guy's bigger so it doesn't need to mean that he accepts that Rhino is stronger.
But he does say perfect example when Miles suggests that Rhino is stronger than him. So either one can win I guess.
2) Peter always holds back, even against the Rhino or the Lizard it falls in line with his character.
So it would make sense that he would hold back against a guy who looks like a body builder like Kraven.
So I don't think Kraven should be above Spider-man.
Also the reason he couldn't get the antidote past Lizard's hide wasn't because of his lack of strength.
The reason being the antidote container or the needle getting damaged in the process makes the most sense.
If Peter always holds back then there is no way to prove his full power could beat Kraven, because we have no idea how strong that hypothetical Peter is. You're making an assumption based on the needle when that was never stated, and the needle ultimately worked so it wasn't damaged. NO MEAT RIDING IN MY COMMENTS!!!

The needle would have been broken if Peter had tried to shove it through Lizard's skin, that's why he decided to inject the needle in his gums
Spiderman held back against Kraven even in their second fight, and unless you want to argue that symbiote suit Spider-Man, while holding back, is stronger than an enraged base Peter, Spider-Man should be above Kraven.
Not to mention his Spider sense would give him an edge.

Even though Marko is a more difficult threat to take down, Venom is a much more challenging threat. While Sandman was only damaged by his two weaknesses, the Spider-men didn't have too extreme trouble dealing with him. Meanwhile, Venom is slapping Peter and Miles with both of them using all of his weaknesses as much as they can and getting assisted by Mj. Not to mention, like you said, Harry is fighting back against Venom, leaving him more moments of vulnerability. If Venom decided to attach to someone more dangerous, it probably be all over.
For how I see it, Marko is more of a defensive threat, and Venom offensively is more of an offensive threat.
Also btw, nobody gonna mention that Insomiac Venom is lacking one of his two defined weaknesses, fire?
Peter nearly died against Sandman and Miles was thrown a mile away…. Venom has no way to take down Sandman.
Well the questions are. How good can venom regenerate? And does Venom need to breathe?. Like if Venom doesn't need to breathe. Marko can't suffocate him.
Venom is completely resistant to fire and heat in this universe

At least the way I interpreted things, Venom with the Meteorite where he could actively corrupt most of NYC was the "escalated threat" compared to Sandman's attack, with both giving a similar feel of the city being overtaken.
Venom has stronger minions, has the scale to basically non-stop brawl with Sandman, and while he doesnt have the outwright counters to Sandman, he can probably fight him eternally while he gets even more minions and scales higher due to taking over the world.

Venom doesn’t scale to the meteor and never gets a chance to use it, stronger minions is debatable since Spidey struggles with both of them in cutscenes. Venom also never took over the world…
@@Warlord-dc5un I was just thinking that when they're fighting, it'll probably be a lot like Peter and Miles going up against him. Giant punches and obstacles thrown at Venom. If the Spider boys can go up against him long enough to set up their combo, then Venom shouldn't have a problem at all keeping up with Sandman basically for an infinite amount of time, considering we never see any type of fatigue from Venom.
So if they were to fight, I don't think Sandman has any outs to defeat Venom, and his best thing he could do would be to stalemate, while Venom would be able to make lieutenants, have better minions, and possibly be able to use Harry's mind to strategize somewhat. We know that Venom has the cunning to threaten MJ as a strategy to lure Peter out, so it's possible that that could A. Be applied to a battle situation for better strategy, or B. Be used to realize he had a better long game and scales higher if he prolonged the conflict over a week for example, or however long it would take to conquer the world.

@@stevecavalleI'm pretty sure that he molly whopped Miles and Peter non-stop WITH Harry actively working against Venom. They get some tempo when they double up, but they never do anything that shows damage or durability loss.
I feel like there's one key element to remember here, Peter in SM2 is not operating at peak power. Hear me out.
1. He kept talking about being a better Spider-Man when he bonded with the symbiote. It was clear he was feeling impotent and downtrodden to a certain extent, unable to handle the hunter situation properly. Why is that?
2. Aunt May's death. This is not like Uncle Ben's where he was "responsible" for it. Here, he made up the conscious choice of letting her go. It's even shown to be the deepest pain the symbiote is using to latch on its remnant. This definitely affects his perception of self which would explain why he was being thrown around so much.
3. He's stressed beyond belief. No job and was recently fired, having to take care of May's house, mentoring Miles, and recovering from SM1. There's a lot on his mind and his life as Peter is all over the place. Kind of similar to Raimi SM2 Spider-Man No More homage. If a breakup with MJ and all that stress led to him losing his powers, I can't imagine how much of a blow May's death, that he thought he caused, would be.
4. Notice how his Spider-Sense is kinda wonky here? Like how Peter's organic webs were failing in RSM2? To me, this just solidifies how Peter was actually not performing at peak performance.
Yet despite all that, he still performed well and can contend with enemies far greater than those in the past. So to me, he could very well still be above. Now that he's got time to rest and be with MJ, taking care of his Peter life, we'll probably see the true extent of his powers in SM3.

From what I know, Base Peter has better physical stats (possibly excluding speed and agility) compared to Base Miles, but Miles has more power and hax with his venom powers and abilities with that and his camoflauge.
Also, one more thing. Peter was battling the suit's influence during his fight with Miles, which potentially means he wasn't fighting with his full potential.

I was surprised how the symbiotes like peter and venom were resilient against miles venom strikes like they literally weren't even slowing down with those venom strikes sound was doing the most damage.
It's because symbiotes are immune to fire and heat in general I'm this universe. The damage electricity does is heat based

He only meant holding back in the sense that he won’t kill Kraven. UFC fighters are hitting as hard as they can but they aren’t trying to kill anyone. We have no idea where bloodlusted base Peter goes so he’s < Kraven.

Honestly, I can agree with a lot of this. The only thing I would like to point out is that I genuinely think Symbiote Spider-Man is above Miles because of an implication from the cutscenes. After Miles helped Li escape and he was restrained by Kraven and his Hunters, we are shown that it was day and by the time Spidey and the Hunter had their rematch, it was clearly night. So while Miles wouldn’t be in peak shape, he’d have at least some time to recover from being drained and possibly beaten, he was likely in a more energised state then his mentor given how much Peter was fighting, even with his new healing factor and Parker’s inner conflict and care for his protege cancelling out his rage amp from wearing the alien. Add on Miles being able to take advantage of 2 of the symbiote’s weaknesses, and I do think that Symbiote Spider-Man would scale higher, but a neutral grounds fight between the wall crawlers would still be a High diff one.

But symbiote Peter came fresh out of a fight that was difficult due to his weakness being exploited, and as Kraven directly says, was holding back still through the whole thing until the end. Meanwhile, Miles had time to recover from his fight with Li and punishment for helping the reforming villain escape, which makes me think the 2nd Spider-Man had an advantage beyond the ability to take advantage of Peter’s new weaknesses.
@@la7402 I would disagree. Miles is shown to be basically on the verge of passing out before Peter and Kraven fight. He might have recovered from Martin li but Kraven and his hunters definitely hurt him in between that time bc he wasn’t that hurt after the Li fight. So miles is pretty injured to start the Peter fight and even tho Peter was holding back, miles was too. I think that if they fought with no bell or sound bombs it’d be a toss up whether miles could get pete out of the suit or not. He’s much faster than Pete and stronger unless Pete uses his tendrils but even then the bio electricity amps his strength by a ton. But I really think it could go either way with symbiote Pete. If miles can use sound it’s a pretty clear victory for him. As for black suit that’d be a much closer battle like u said he’s still thinking straight but still if miles can use sound i think it’d be a toss up since he went toe to toe with venom.

After all, like Base Peter, the new Spider-Man has accelerated healing and based off of the time of day between the fight with Li and Peter’s fight with Kraven, Miles could have possibly hours to heal before fighting his mentor (depending on how long you think the hunters were punishing Miles), who came right out of a fight with Kraven after his weakness to sound was spammed. It still wouldn’t be easy, especially with Miles’ electricity, but that is why I lean towards Symbiote Peter a bit more in a neutral battlefield while they are both bloodlusted.

It's funny how the first boss of the game is the strongest one, usually in other games the first boss is the weakest or one of the weakest
I think it shows the Spider-Men working together and how they could defeat a really difficult enemy if they were on the top of their game. The rest of the game, the Spider-Men were either separated or dealing with their mental issues. Even the last fight with Venom, the Spider-Men weren't really working together, it was a tag team 1v1 except for a small segment where they both beat up Venom in the air.

That interview came out after I wrote this lmao. I think there's still evidence to say that they at least don't resist electricity, like Superman VS magic. Overall it does look good for Miles.

I have a theory about antivenom suit spiderman that I haven't seen anyone else bring up. While Peter fought venom he was getting thrashed pretty bad, but something changed after he got knocked out. Once he got back up after miles was done fighting venom, he almost seemed invincible. Now I know this probably sounds far fetched but I think he got a type of "zenkai" buff or something after his first fight with venom. When you watch him fight venom at the end, peter gets slammed into the ground by venom on his head, then get showed through an exploding oil tanker and he's completely fine. Saying he was fine is an understatement, he didn't seem to notice it and in less than a second he got the upper hand on venom and slammed him into the ground. There was no indication that venom had gotten weaker, and peter hadn't used the antivenom properties in that scene until venom was already on the ground. To me he just seemed like he got wildly stronger. The venom suits have healing properties, and spiderman has already proven that he can get stronger, so I think it's not far fetched to say that he got a big physical buff at the end there. After that scene venom never held a candle to him.

Rooting for Lizard, the two seem very very similar in strength and healing factor but I get the sense venom at least knows how to apply that strength better is he isn't outright stronger. I think Lizards sonic roar mixed with his armor and healing factor might give him a chance to eat harry while he's in the suit. Conversely venom could potentially take advantage of the lizards mouth and do some fatality level attacks on his insides.

I feel like sandman is very variable in terms of power level, if placed in an indestructible room with sable she could probably beat him, however when placed in the city he can gain anything from none to being powerful enough to beat miles and Peter together.
I personally would of left him as below venom and anti venom on a list like this.
What would Sable even do against him? Even with the minimum amount of sand in his body, Sable would get wrecked by Sandman.

Everything in all of fiction is written to showcase something. We have to use feats and what is shown to make the most logical deduction. The last time Peter fought Sandman he fit into a vial, also as far as we know, Yuri never boxed up Rhino straight up. They fought offscreen where Peter said Rhino was stronger, and in the game Scorpion and Rhino ended up getting in each others way, and Peter still didn't KO Rhino like Miles did. Whether or not you think it's agenda based, it's still canon, and is still a valid feat.
Keep in mind, Miles used the bell specifically to snap Peter out of the symbiote's control. Without it, he was still faring incredibly well against Peter with the Symbiote. Even overwhelming him several times throughout that fight.
I think it's safe to say that Miles is stronger between the two of them.

I actually disagree with some of the Peter and miles scaling. Unless we believe that Martin Li got stronger in prison, I’d say that Peter had an easier time with him in the first game than Miles did in this one. A blood lusted Miles-who admittedly calmed down towards the end of the fight-barely managed to beat Li. When he helps Li escape after winning, he almost instantly collapses after. No more fight in him. Peter handles Li in the first game twice with no real issue.
In the symbiote fight between Miles and Peter… well having a giant bell at your beck and call is a crazy advantage and ultimately it’s not as though Miles “defeats Peter”. Miles managed to convince Peter to take the suit off. Don’t get me wrong, I think Miles is the ultimate successor and that he’s proven himself equal to Peter, but I think scaling them is more complicated than most people think

I wouldn't say that the Anti-Venom suit is stronger or more powerful than the Venim Symbiot, though. In terms of raw strength, I'd argue that the Venom Symbiot is deciseively stronger than the Anti-Venom "symbiot." But the properties of the Anti-Venom symbiot just allows the Anti-Venom symbiot to out-punch the Venom symbiot. But were both symbiots put up against a neutral opponent, the Venom Symbiot would fair better than the Anti-Venom Symbiot.
I'd also wager that Mile's Venom powers, and *definitely* his Enganced Venom powers, negatively effect both the Venom Symbiot and the Anti-Venom Symbiot, allowing Miles to hang with either. But pound for pound, Miles would still come in yhird between the three anyway.
(But if Miles ever got a Venom Mode, where he surges with hos Venom power or his enhanced Venom power for a period of time, like Peter does with his symbiot, the ranking would get a lot more iffy.)

He uses the bell toward their fight which is a counter for symbiote and his blue venom and also Peter is fighting inside trying to stop himself from harming Miles. If it was not symbiote Peter then Miles would of lost. Peter is thinking straight while the symbiote is corrupting miles which gives him another advantage.
@@lordyoda9382 That would be a pretty fair assessment if you didn't watch what I said about Miles. He was already on his knees after the Mr. Negative fight, THEN he was beaten on likely by Kraven, THEN he passes out, THEN he fights Peter and physically contends with him on screen. Peter in the first phase of the fight was enraged, he gets conflicted later on. They both had things going against them, Black Suit Peter is stated > base Peter, and Miles scraps with Black Suit Peter. I do say that a 100% Peter would outlast Miles, and that Anti-Venom's above tho. But to argue Miles < base Peter is cope.

Bro imagine if you had to fight off all of the Sinister Six in the first game and you get bodied, then in the second game they all get freed from the Raft (instead of getting offscreened) and get upgrades from Doc Ock. Electro becomes pure energy, Vulture can fly at mach speeds can has more wing blades, Rhino gets some nuclear bunker type armor, Scorpion gets more potent poison + acid and a stronger exoskeleton, Shocker gets more powerful shockwaves that's very vibrations can turn things into dust (I like Shocker more than Martin Li), and Docter Octopus has more advanced arms as well as nantech to increase his bodies durable and mobility. Now, take into account that just 1 of these guys (in these iterations) can solo Spider-Man from the first game. Spidey has to run away from Electro snd barely survives, but then he gets the symbiote and solo's the new and improved Sinister Six

While watching the story, I was very interested in kraven but then I thought to myself, he is the perfect prey for an elite to elder predator, they have a very similar hunt until you die idea but the predators would see him as one of the greatest hunts
The problem is that every time someone new comes in Peter is nerfed and the reason he needs help in a fight is because help is already there and spider venom losing to miles is just a pure nerf. Peter is literally the most experienced and fluid fighter in the games. W video
I think black suit Peter is stronger than miles but symbiote suit is weaker. We see Peter enjoying and feeling greater than ever at the beginning but after the suit transforms he starts to fight with those negative emotions and the more brutal style actually makes him weaker since he’s not like that at all.

My problem with this. Is that Miles power were constantly growing in the game. As seen where he didn't even get his last move until he helped Peter become anti Venom. Venom was going harder against Miles then he was Peter. He wanted Peter to Join him. While he wanted to outright Kill Miles. Miles even did better than Peter did with his Anti venom suit. As Peter got ONE SHOT by evolved Winged Venom. Then had enough time to heal and get a rest. While Miles was fighting dozens of Symbiotes. And then went straight to fight that evolved Venom twice in a row. Miles was holding back against in raged Black Suit Peter. So this makes it even harder to argue Peter any higher than Miles. Miles by the end of game was basically Peters successor in everyway besides in the way of having a better healing factor. And being more intelligent. Those are the two factors i give Peter over Miles.

I've gotta disagree with you about Symbiote Peter/Anti Venom being above Spider-Man 2 Miles.
Miles was holding back against a bloodlusted symbiote Peter and still won (And Miles didn't canonically use the bell until after he had already physically beaten Peter, he used the bell to weaken the Symbiote so that Peter could find a way to get it off.)
Miles just fought off a Symbiote horde and then performed better against an arguably more powerful version of Venom than the one Peter had just fought despite Peter having a direct counter to Venom, both were holding back against Venom but you also have to understand that Venom was holding back against Peter due to Peter being a vital part of Harry's goal which is why Venom was so hellbent on getting Peter to join them. The same can't be said for Venom vs Miles though.
Peter got conflicted pretty quickly and was also coming off his fight with Kraven, who used the bell many times in their fight.
Peter would be holding back more against Venom seeing as he could have killed him earlier via purging the Symbiote.
Venom also tempted Miles as much as Peter; Harry wanted Peter as a part of his plan not Venom.
Miles is stronger than corrupt symbiote Peter since he not the same as before and also give him some weaknesses. Peter with the anti venom is stronger it doesn’t corrupt him and have weaknesses the same as the other symbiote. Without the symbiote, Base Peter shown better feats and experience than miles.

So Miles is stronger than a Spider-Man who experience everything miles experience, who is a genius that created a bunch of gadgets and a speedster suit, have 8 years of experience of fighting against villians who are powerful, defeated opponents like Rhino, Mr Negative, Tombstone, Lizard, Chameleon, King pin, Vulture, Shocker, Otto, Electro, Hammerhead, Silver sable, Task Master and Sandman by himself. Just because he put up a fight against a corrupted symbiote Peter who isn’t himself while using the bell and have 2 extra abilities which is bio electricity and camouflage. Are you really sure Miles can win a fight against a experience spider like that? Base Peter > Base miles.
