Microwave your pie first for about 5 mins than put it in the air fryer at 180 degrees for about 8 mins. Don't forget to add tomato sauce if you're a true blue Aussie bogan.
5 mins 😂 you got a crappy 700 watt microwave? My 1100w would nuke the crap out of it after 5 minutes
hey grego. i bought the same air fryer based on your great success with it. hope kmart sent you a cheque. anyway, when i cook a frozen pie, i put it in upside down for the first ten or so minutes. gets heat to the bulk of the pie from the underside fast, then i flip it over and cook it the rest of the way right side up. reduces the cooking time and the pie gets heated through thoroughly.
yes, cooks a bit faster, and more evenly
I microwave any pie til thawed out then wrap in foil and air fry. Otherwise it's a dry mess

Can't find them in NSW. Coles have them listed at $7.95 for a 2-pack, but only the beef variety, not the beef bacon & cheese, and anyway, they're out of stock.
Woolies don't seem to have even heard of them.

Ingredients include 'pastry relaxant' - you don't want tense pastry, nope, that would be terrible. Then again, too-relaxed pastry would surely be floppy. They need to get this just right.

I always opt for the 90 cent Lips & Arsehole pie from Coles, it has an interesting texture with
a crunchy interior & tranfers easily into the s-bend.
Sounds delicious...do you put dead horse on the lips and arsehole pie ?

There is something very comforting about a cheap pie that's been sweating in its bag for 8 hours.
I wasn't a big fan of these ones but I did quite enjoy the all day breakfast pie
Haven't seen them in Sydney Woolies.
There used to be a brand of pie called Vilis....but I can't find them anymore. They used to come in a plastic bag. Awesome pie ! 🤤
Yeah them pies are made in Adelaide and definitely one of my favourites, I love the flakey puff pastry they use.
There still around in selected servos and I think BP sells them too.

Outback Pies have been around for yonks. The pie van across the road from my work was selling these 10 or 15 years ago. I was never much of a fan.
If you ever go north west of Brizzy, Blackbutt bakery does some awesome pies, so I hear.
I mean, I've never tried them, but people at my work say they're worth the trip

Best meat pies in Vic are Fergusson Plairre franchises, Gillies from Bendigo and from that pie maker baker we find occanissally.
I hate thick pastry with little substance. Even the FourNTwenty pie I grew up on has changed. It and many other brands are made by Patties
