    And get a special iron just for edge.Banding it's a lot more powerful than a clothing iron so does a way better job

    I built one of these. My wife and I have a small 2 bedroom home and she needed a craft room. I built this bed then made her a couple of work tables with folding legs. We can put the tables away and bring down the bed when needed. She loves it. She now can set up her work and not have to move it off the kitchen table if people come over. I also used your video to build a couple of slat walls in our entry. Thanks for sharing you time and your knowledge.

      That's excellent Steve! Yes I remember seeing your slat wall, I shared it with my audience on Instagram. It came out looking great!
      I know your wife is happy to have a husband who is handy, keep up the great work! Thank you for supporting us as well 🙏🏾

      Hey Steve. Do you still have the cut list and instruction booklet for the murphy bed build?

    Did you add additional wood to the top for the crown molding to be nailed to or was there enough wood space already?

    Great how-to video, thanks! Happy to subscribe. What is the mattress like to sleep on? Is it standard with the kit?

      @Wouldwoodwork  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks! The mattress was the clients choice but it was an Amazon memory foam buy. Get something less than 12" thick

    Hi, your video is really detailed and well explained. I saw may videos about building murphy beds and I'm onto building my own (a hroizontal one). Does that relaly make a difference to put a bottom pannel on your murphy bed structure (the pannel that is on the floor from the structure?)

    • @Wouldwoodwork
      @Wouldwoodwork  7 месяцев назад

      Having the bottom panel will keep your structure square. If weight is a concern instead of having a full bottom panel use stretchers but you'll want to have something below to keep it square.

    Have you experienced creaking noises from the bed frame? Comments on the Rockler site say it's a very noisy bed when you sit on or move around while laying down.

    • @Wouldwoodwork
      @Wouldwoodwork  8 месяцев назад

      That's a good question. We made this for several clients and none of them had brought this to our attention. Did you glue your frame together?

    Hey, what kind of plywood did you use for the bookcase and bed frame?

    • @Wouldwoodwork
      @Wouldwoodwork  11 месяцев назад +1

      We used 3/4 C-2 birch unfinished, as well as Maple for the door handles

    What size bed do the plans accommodate?

    • @Wouldwoodwork
      @Wouldwoodwork  Год назад +1

      A queen, the plan I created is for the bookcase on the side. Rockler wood works has a Murphy bed kit with the plan for free
