OMG, when Haley was walking up to the hoop I thought it was you Sallie!! So happy business is going so well & you're going to be building a new shop. Have you ever thought of attaching it, or part of it, to the back of the house? Like maybe somehow connect the current shop, the new shop & some area of the back of your house so you don't have to go out in the elements, or just not go very far when you want to pop into the house to check on the girls. I LOVE these longer "work with me" videos!! I've been loving your "craft with me" videos lately too! SO fun! Here's to getting to 100k soon!!! 🤞

Yes same! My kids aren’t the biggest fan of cold lunches so we do the thermos a couple times a week 😊

It is so nice to see your family life and that you bring us along. Reading the bible is a goal of mine too. I've left it for the end of the day but it's a good idea to get it done in the morning. That sandwich looked good. I might try it with the kids. So sad about the trampoline. The deer at the distance were so cute. I can stare at them for hours. Lol

I was literally talking about this in the video but cut it out 😂 we are a dukes or Hellman’s (mostly hellmans) family but they were out last time we went so got the Kraft. It’s pretty good though!
@@SimplySallie I was raised by my grandparents, on a little farm, in a small South Carolina town. My grandma use to say Duke's was the only real mayo. Having traveled all over the world and many parts of the US as well, I had my Momma mail me Duke's if I couldn't find it where I was. 🤣

Our dog is the same way with any delivery people or anyone who comes to the door. She just wants to protect. 🙂 Makes me jump every time she starts barking and I'm not expecting it.

Hello, question, at 13:30 on as the laser is cutting the A , is the wobbly lines a normal thing on this machine or is that happen to be the font. My current laser occasionally does tiny wobbly sections like that on supper small sections only, never on big cuts. It just stood out to me and was curious to know. As if that happens randomly to a straight cut I'd have to cut a new one. Thank you.
Check your laser head! Mine was loose and did this. I tightened that up and it fixed the problem instantly.
@Simply Sallie Thank you for the quick reply, I just read my question and realized the auto correct changed a bunch of my words, making it sound weird. Super imbarrasing, lol. I came to this video after being forwarded a link by thunder, and I see you now have 2. Congratulations. That in itself speaks numbers for that laser. Thank you again, I have some thinking to do as I'm looking into upgrading to the nova 51 from a glowforge.
What kind of glue are you using? Is that Loctite? And do you stain the backs of your name cutout backers?
How did you make the decision between a 100w and 130w laser? Any drawbacks to more power? Do you have any issues with engraving?

Question: is there a reason that you not apply transfer tape on the painted boards before lasering, would save you to glue very letter extra?
I have been using the tape for tiny pieces sometimes, it’s just easy enough and cheaper to use glue so I do that most of the time! 😊 thanks for watching!

I didn't see the letter outlines and was like how is she lining those up so fast lol Great work! Question, Do you ever get glue squeeze out on the thin letters? I'm a CNC guy but make a stacked sign here and there. The last one had thin letters and I had a few spots where the super glue squeezed out and dried with that shiny look.
In the past I would have that! But what I’ve found is just doing super small dots on the little letters and letting them air dry for a few seconds before I push down. The glue then does not blow out! If they are really small I’ll use the 3m tape 😊

What glue do you use to glue the wood together =]?
I currently use Loctite professional super glue!
Curious if you both use hearing protection or have thought about it before?
We pretty much always wear headphones and listen to music! 😊 they are wireless and small so hard to see in the videos.

Wow you got the monies! I was just abt to follow you but got intimidated by your small lasers, they not cheap, I am sure. Its been those days I cant win n trying but when I bump into these videos I feel I can never have that. 😟
Lasers are a business investment! They do cost, but you have to spend money to make money. I worked very hard to save enough to buy one. It just takes hard work and effort and anyone can do it. I started off with a cheap old saw to cut my wood and worked my way up. Don’t give up on what you want to accomplish! ❤️
Would work if people ordered.. No one talks about how to sell online, especially if you don't use etsy or things like that just your own site. hmm hmm
It takes a lot of work and dedication, that’s for sure. I have my own website as well and it takes advertising and making products that people want. Trust me I’ve worked hard to get to the point I’m at today and there is still a lot of growth left to go!
