You say to start seeing quality. Patience pays off when collecting. I found a Dansk oval facette barware glass for $.85. I thought it would be nice in a bathroom and that I'd never find another. While thrifting yesterday a came across a pair in perfect condition. They were $1 each, but everything was 50% off. All told, $1.85 plus tax for the three. They were quality for a good value. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks, Dr. Lori!❤
My grandmother left me a marigold tulip vase. It looks just like the one you showed. I absolutely love it. I never knew about the metallic glass aspect of carnival glass. I am going to check out the quality of my piece now that you have educated me as to quality. Thank you so much for your expert knowledge on this subject.
I love glass but I especially love crystal my love of crystal started when I found two Waterford glasses in the Marquis pattern when you looked inside the glass it looked like a lotus flower opening. I am not rich so of course these were on sale at $7and $10 dollars. I am now addicted to looking for something in every thrift store and I have quite the collection. But I love learning and I know that I could be shopping more intelligently. Thank you for sharing your experience just wanted to let you know I appreciate your knowledge and kindness to share it. May the Lord bless you as you continue to be a blessing to others. I am a Christian or a disciple of Christ Jesus so please don’t be offended by my words I say them because I want good things for you. ❤
Dr Lori another fine learning expirience thank you. Your pro teaching has given me a better eye. I dont even want to sell any of my treasures ive found! Its so fun and interesting. I have some cool finds because of you!!
Love those Maxwell Mugs,,before we became snobs and our granmom's made coffee from the cans in the glass pyrex or aluminum one..bit perculators that went on stove...my parents did not drink coffee and wow,,sleeping at my grandmas for that smell was just divine, that was fun.
Another fabulous show 🙌 Thanks Doc!!! I love jewelry, but glass is a close 2nd. I didn't know the star underneath was indicative of American made. I was totally wrong about the marigold guess. I thought those tulip type carnival vases held a lot of value. You are a great teacher. Thank you for explaining the "why" behind the values. Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving. PS I literally gasped & clutched my imaginary pearls @ 12:28 seeing the purple painted pitcher on the bottom shelf 😍💓😍
I bought a nice boyds bear cookie jar at a thrift shop that had tape on it, and when I peeled it off, so came some paint and a bit of the ceramic. Geeze!

I wish they would stop with the tape! I have had it peel up fragile finishes. They could use painters tape or saran wrap like you mentioned.
love that you was honest about prices. 8 bucks for 2nd hand mug thats not a top brand is a hard pass.
I love that candy bowl❤

I didn't know that Carnival glass was a thing. I would have tried harder to win some.
You keeping sneaking into Peddlers 😮 mall, not far from me. Would have loved to bump into you there.
Hate the tape!
Are the incisions cut in? I thought it was pressed glass, pressed into s mold?
I thought the shinier the carnival glass, the newer it was?
Dr Lori can you please help me understand Uranium Glass and it's values
Yes, I can look at your pieces. See the options I offer on my website.
Thank you for sharing. Prayers you have a blessed day in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you so much!
No tape please thrift stores
How about glue dots instead of scotch tape?
How much is that plate
Looks like that store doesn't have someone who knows correct pricing. When I go to these places I wonder who is pricing what are they using to price?
What would an old three pound coffee can be worth?
I need to see it. Need more info. Please check out my website to see the options I offer to show me pieces.

I think it would be fair, as you are an educator, to add the "thank" button to your account so people can share monetary appreciation :)
Since you are not loud and screaming in this video, I could actually enjoy it.😊
Great. Watch some more.
The subtle rudeness, Meow.meow. You don't talk to humans much do you?
I've never seen her loud or screaming.
Rude.
@meowmeow. Lol. I thought the same thing!
Thank you 🌹
