Before I watch, I'm going to rank them from best to worst (or maybe more accurately, most to least impressive) and see how close I get. The year I give is the year of the regular season even though the postseason now happens entirely in the following calendar year. 1) 2021 vs. Bills: The second duel between Mahomes and Allen results in an all-time classic game featuring a barrage of scoring in the final 2 minutes and OT, highlighted by the famous 2-play, 13-second field goal drive to send the game into overtime, where-prior to the rule change-the Chiefs win the coin toss and the game. 2) 2019 vs. Texans: With Mahomes at the helm, the Chiefs erase a 24-0 Texans lead in the second quarter as part of a 41-0 run in the only playoff game ever (maybe only game ever, not sure about that) where a team facing at least a 20-point deficit won by at least 20 points. 3) 2022 vs. Eagles: On a hobbled ankle, Mahomes throws three TDs with no picks and no sacks and has a key 26-yard scramble on the eventual game-winning field goal drive, overcoming a 10-point deficit in the Super Bowl for the second time in 4 seasons. 4) 2023 vs. Ravens: The playoff game where I see Mahomes willingly tone down his gunslinger play style the most to adapt to the opponent, sacrificing some of his personal statistics to help the team win but still putting up efficient numbers against a tough defense, including completing every one of his passes to Travis Kelce. 5) 2022 vs. Bengals: On the aforementioned bad ankle and with a severely depleted receiving corps, Mahomes avoids the notoriety of a 4-game losing streak to the Bengals and his stadium being called "Burrowhead" with another key late scramble to set up another game-winning field goal. 6) 2023 vs. 49ers: Despite some early miscues, Mahomes gradually reads the defense and leads the Chiefs to score on their final five drives, including (broken record moment) two key scrambles, one on 4th down and one of 20+ yards, on the game-winning touchdown drive in overtime. 7) 2018 vs. Patriots: Facing Tom Brady and a stout defense in just his second-ever playoff game, Mahomes leads a 4th-quarter rally capped off by a 31-second drive to force overtime, where he never touches the ball and the Chiefs lose. 8) 2019 vs. 49ers: Down 10 with less than 7 minutes on the clock and facing a 3rd and 15 in his own territory, Mahomes calls his own play and leads the Chiefs to 21 unanswered points and their first Lombardi trophy in 50 years. 9) 2020 vs. Bills: In his first playoff duel with Josh Allen, Mahomes and the Chiefs thoroughly dominate the Bills as he completes over 76% of his passes with 325 yards, 3 TDs, and no picks. 10) 2018 vs. Colts: MVP Mahomes gets multiple monkeys off the Chiefs' backs, finally beating the Colts in the playoffs and advancing to the championship round for the first time in 25 years. 11) 2019 vs. Titans: For the second time in the same postseason, Mahomes erases a 10-point deficit in the 2nd quarter, capped by a beautiful 27-yard tightrope scramble for the go-ahead touchdown, and later ices the game on a gorgeous deep ball to Sammy Watkins. 12) 2023 vs. Bills: In his first-ever road playoff game and third playoff battle against Allen, with the Bills Mafia pelting him and his teammates with snowballs, Mahomes completes nearly 74% of his passes for 2 TDs, no picks, and no sacks en route to a narrow victory. 13) 2021 vs. Steelers: Mahomes and the Chiefs retire Big Ben with a bang, to the tune of 5 TD passes on 5 consecutive drives (including one to guard Nick Allegretti) as part of a 42-7 run and his only playoff game to date with over 400 passing yards. 14) 2023 vs. Dolphins: In a bitterly cold game, the Chiefs freeze the Dolphins, with Mahomes-stop me if you've heard this one before-having two key scrambles, one for 28 yards on 4th down and one where a piece breaks off his helmet upon contact with the defender. 15) 2022 vs. Jaguars: After the legendary Chad Henne leads the longest touchdown drive in Chiefs history partway through the game when a nasty collision causes an ankle injury, Mahomes returns to close the game out, even delivering a couple magical plays along the way. 16) 2020 vs. Buccaneers: Hampered by a toe injury that would require offseason surgery, an offensive line full of backups, a receiving corps with the dropsies, and a stalwart defense, Mahomes runs for his life, throwing 3 interceptions and some very picturesque incompletions-highlighted by one in the 4th quarter when he throws with his body parallel to the ground and hits his intended receiver in the helmet. 17) 2020 vs. Browns: Mahomes gets injured midway through the third quarter after throwing and rushing for a touchdown apiece and is replaced by Chad Henne for the remainder of the game, but the Browns are ultimately unable to capitalize. 18) 2021 vs. Bengals: After leading the Chiefs to a 21-3 lead in the second quarter, Mahomes inexplicably throws a checkdown to Tyreek Hill, whereupon the clock expires on the first half; perhaps flustered by this, he and the Chiefs are unable to do anything offensively in the second half-save for a game-tying field goal in the waning seconds of regulation-after surrendering their lead to the Bengals, who win in overtime after picking off Mahomes' final pass to Hill.
I love the idea of this video and your thoughts on Mahomes. I really enjoy watching Mahomes, his character and play and he's still very young. I think he got very cerebral in this past year with a solid defense and knowing he didn't have to do push it too much and make a mistake and he was so calm and cool in the 4th quarter and OT in Super Bowl.
Making a tier called "Not his best" is ridiculous. You could literally put any game in it that wasn't his best one! You should have just used "Still good" and created one called "Problematic" or something like that. Especially when you used it for games that should have just been put in "Still good" like the Colts game. Anything put lower than that tier indicates a bad grade, which not the place for double digit victories.
The last SB vs the 49ers. KC had 12 points in regulation outside of basically a gift TD where they recovered a buffed punt at the 10. Mahomes was fine, but it was hardly some otherworldly performance. -The SB vs PHI. KC was pretty disappointing in the 1st half then in the 2nd Half torched a pass defense that got torched by every good QB they faced that year. Even the Packers with the corpses of Lazard, Cobb, Mercedes Lewis torched that pass defense. KC's WRs ran wide open the entire 2nd half. It was a solid performance but that is it. -2024 playoffs vs Bills. Mahomes barely topped 200 yards and had the benefit of his RBs going for 130. He was good, but saying not human is wildly overrating it.
@@kchandaman3012 The fact you have no counterargument is very telling. Feel free to explain how throwing for barely over 200 yards or barely exceeding 10 points from your drives in an entire game is anywhere in the inhuman realm. Heck, by the end if his career, neither game will be in his Top 100 games.
@@jasonjanisewski78 Inhuman might be a bit much, but you're making it out as if it wasn't an impressive feat. Focusing on the stat line alone is beyond ridiculous, especially for a single game. It was the Chiefs' first road playoff game in the Mahomes era and so they were not favored to win for a reason on top of a struggling offense, and yet they were in that game largely because of him trusting receivers who had played poorly for much of the season and taking care of the ball in a hostile environment that he was not used to for the postseason. But oh no, he didn't break an arbitrary mark in passing yards! Fuck off.
@@jasonjanisewski78at least someone thinks the bills and 49ers are trash. They had better records and seeding than the chiefs. If those games were in fact human then that means that bills and 49ers are also human. Also it is not always about the stats. 200 yards in a game against number one defense is pretty good, although I can hardly call the 49ers defense number one.
@@elikramer9234 The Bills and the 49ers were very human as well. The 49ers should have lost both their previous games and their defense got torched regularly in the playoffs last year.
I think SB 57 is in the dominant category. He was great, but I don’t know about “not human.” He had no pressure in his face whatsoever. If people are going to blame the line solely for SB 55, then they gotta give them a boat load of credit for SB 57. Great video idea though, Jackson. Would love to see you continue this series
Idk why he didn't mention it in the video or why so many forget this in general but Mahomes was very much injured that entire playoff run. At best, his leg was at 70% in the SB. We even saw the behind the scenes of all of this in the Netflix show. Him gritting through it and using that adrenaline to make play after play after play despite the problems easily makes it not human. If there's a list of QBs to be significantly injured for 3 straight playoff games and still lead their teams to a SB victory, I doubt it's very long. Make no mistake, no one player wins a team game alone, but there's nobody else I think could have had the same level of performance that postseason in that situation.
IMO the SB loss was not human for him. The superman pass that should've been caught for a TD as well as the 75 yard not td pass thanks to Hill. but id have put Eagles SB and the last Bills game in dominate. good list though.
I would have put the bengals game that they won in “not human” because most his receivers were hurt so he had to throw to Marcus Kemp and he was playing on a bad ankle
Super Bowl 55 was definitely his worst game ever, including regular season. 9 points and he ran into pressure, his line gave him more than enough time on most of those pressures

Yeah we all can just forget that collapse against the Bengals.
Didn't know mahomes played defense..
😂😂
@@micahwilliams1826Yeah it’s only a team sport when he loses 😂
@@micahwilliams1826Love him but he was absolutely awful in that second half. Made some very weird decisions.
@@micahwilliams1826he certainly wasn’t on offense
As a chiefs fan, couldn’t agree more!

It was a fun tier list. 👍
I love how much he elevates his game in the biggest moments. Gets better in the playoffs like Brady, rather than shrinking like Rogers
Well this was the dumbest stuff I read all day.
I agree. That was one of the best games I ever seen. Don't care what anyone says.
I would have put the bengals game that they won in “not human” because most his receivers were hurt so he had to throw to Marcus Kemp and he was playing on a bad ankle
He just flat out wasn’t good in that super bowl against Tampa. Yes, he also didn’t get much help from his team. Both can be true
Super Bowl 55 was definitely his worst game ever, including regular season. 9 points and he ran into pressure, his line gave him more than enough time on most of those pressures
Bro don’t say how much the nfl is rigged for Mahomes I’m done wit this channel it’s just glazing the bigger ones
Why can’t you give credit where credit is due. The nfl is not even about the fans. Yes, they do it for the fans but they also do it for themselves. It is entertainment, you are not always supposed to be happy. If you think chiefs fans are sad only when they lose you are absolutely wrong. You would probably say nothing if it was any other team. What about the Celtics 10 straight nba finals wins? You going to say that they cheated then.
There is nothing to glaze over (how did this even become a word for that?).
Cry about it
