I love the chiefs but I agree they milk the mahomes thing way too much. Since they call everything “incredible” it takes the impact away from the plays that truly are.

    I still remember Shannon Sharpe on undisputed saying “Skip, I’ve never seen a quarterback that can call upon his greatness time and time again like Brady can” and I’ve never forgotten that. Even with what Mahomes is doing. I saw Brady do that every year almost for 23 years.

    I just love that Brady went to the Chiefs locker room after the game to talk with Mahomes. He knew he was special. This is one of the greatest games ever. And a proof that Edelman is a HOF’er. This was just one of many playoff games where he was Superman.

    My heart was pounding like crazy and I couldn't sit still due to how nervous I was watching this game. And every time the Pats scored, I cheered but also kept saying, "but there's still time for the Chiefs to score..." And sure enough, they just kept countering every blow the Pats gave them. A legendary battle between the old Pats dynasty and the rising Chiefs juggernaut. Will never forget this one

      I started watching football in general during Brady's legendary 2007 season. For some reason I had an unreasonable hatred of Brady and the pats and was always annoyed when they made it back to the SB. once he left he's became one of my favorite players and I wish I could go back and appreciate him more in the New England years.

    Man gives me the chills… one of the best playoff games in history. To look back and see what Brady, Edelman, Gronk and everybody else did on those final drives… it’s just incomparable to anybody these days. The level of synergy, the belief that they got this, the toughness and failure to ever panic. Bradys ability to read a defense. It’s like overwhelming. In arrowhead stadium, sub zero temperatures, against what we know now is truly one of the best teams in the history of the game. The sigh of despair you can almost feel when the patriots won the coin toss in ot. It’s over. The defense knew their jobs were done. This is special stuff - some of the best to ever do it on the field here

Also FYI - Tom was dealing with laser beams pointed at him and his eyes on EVERY snap. And of course no one at Arrowhead went to stop them as that's extremely unfair, dangerous and simply an absurd thing to do. But man he dealt with it like the GOAT he is - never even mentioned it. Just went out there, did his job and won. As per usual. Here's to the greatest to ever play the game

    That's quarterbacking. The leader, the thrower, the decision maker. Great battle between great quarterbacks, great coach on both sides, the old dynasty of the last 20 years against the dominating force of the next 10 years and a potential new dynasty. Historic significance and implications, even more so when you look back at it years from now. Suspension, drama, back and forth, this game had everything. One of the greatest games I've ever watched. It was a pleasure.

      Greatest game I ever watched - in person was The Raiders vs The Colts in a playoff game in Baltimore. 3 OT's if I remember correctly, 7 touchdowns were scored in our end zone including the winning TD pass to Dave Casper of The Raiders.
      That was the mid 1970's, Baltimore fans were amazing....spelling out COLTS the way Jets fans do now....VERY LOUDLY....could hear it walking to the stadium 10 blocks away.

    When I get depressed I always come back to this game it’s such a classic. The 14-0 lead New England got in the first half then the chiefs came out fighting the next half and the crazy “muffed punt” by Edelman and the interception after the muffed punt. How loud it got in that stadium each time it was 3rd and long for Brady and he would still convert them. Oh and Dee Ford in the neutral zone that took away a game winning interception for the chiefs. That was truly the super bowl that season

He's already getting a bit dinged plus the NFL makes it pretty tough for teams to maintain decade-long runs of dominance. Naturally, anything is possible but I don't see anybody coming close to what Brady has done.

    I watch this game every couple weeks or months. Just a beautiful display of great coaching and it translating on to the field. This team and the 2014 team were my favorites but being that on paper they weren’t too big of a team to contend with anyone and the fact they won it all makes this team special!

      @@phillyeaglesforlife5127 for one that’s probably not true because that season Marshawn Lynch had horrible stats on short down yardage, which is exactly why they threw it because they didn’t trust Lynch to get into the endzone. As for the Falcons game, players make plays and teams show grit and that was that game was about. Take away the pick 6 and Blount fumble and the game isn’t as bad as it got to.

    I loved when we had Chris Hogan and Rex Burkehead. Their numbers weren’t always insane. But the contributions they made were insane! Hogan ALWAYS seemed to be wide open and Brady would find him. Because the defense was worried about Jules/ Gronk/ J-white. Hogans game against the Steelers I think? Where he set the patriots playoff record for most yards was a thing of beauty! If we would have kept those two and Danny for another year or two ( not sure which years they all left. Seems like it was around the same time ) our team would have been a lot better. Brady’s last year with us, how he took us to 12-4 and into the playoffs is one of his biggest achievements, in my opinion!
