Man gives me the chills… one of the best playoff games in history. To look back and see what Brady, Edelman, Gronk and everybody else did on those final drives… it’s just incomparable to anybody these days. The level of synergy, the belief that they got this, the toughness and failure to ever panic. Bradys ability to read a defense. It’s like overwhelming. In arrowhead stadium, sub zero temperatures, against what we know now is truly one of the best teams in the history of the game. The sigh of despair you can almost feel when the patriots won the coin toss in ot. It’s over. The defense knew their jobs were done. This is special stuff - some of the best to ever do it on the field here
@@mrritter1648 Yup.. there was a lot of weird stuff that went down during that game, and I actually thought most of the calls went against New England. Also FYI - Tom was dealing with laser beams pointed at him and his eyes on EVERY snap. Just went out there, did his job and won. As per usual. Here's to the greatest to ever play the game
That reaction of Brady ripping his helmet off and jumping into the arms of his teammates was just awesome. Outside of the Malcolm Butler pick that’s probably the most excited I’ve ever seen him at the end of a game.
Man that 20 years where every game was big. But when it got cold. And the crowds got louder. That energy of every game when you have a dynasty playing for you is unparalleled
Back when there was no situation that wasn't manageable for the Pats/Brady. Three third and long conversions on a game winning OT drive at Arrowhead...Brady was a stone cold killer
@@SeanFication Don't worry the league made it up to them on that last TD drive. You got about 3 favorable calls to extend a dead drive into the endzone.

I'm an old Boston guy watching NFL since 1965 as a boy, this game was one of the best battles I've ever seen, two really good teams with the top two QB's.
I'm with you. I use to watch the Boston Patriots practice at the stadium at Logan when I was kid. This game reminded of the classic Bruins / Canadian's playoff games of the 70's...Only this time we won and we didn't have too many men on the ice..
@adrienAckerman12 Its abt the pace hes on my boy. Plus lets not get into an individual stat argument at this point in their careers. Mahomes makes brady look pedestrian at best. Dude came into the leauge and dropped 50tds. Is already abt to tie the amount of All pro teams brady made in an entire career.
I remember this game like it was yesterday. I was legit on my knees while watching this game as it was getting on my nerves. I will never forget my dad and I jumping like crazy when burkhead scored the OT TD. What a night that was as a 7th grader!
I lived through the Brady-Pats dynasty. Watched every game. And now of course we're living the post-dynasty years where we suck. But when I watch videos like this, a big smile lights up my face as I remember that my Patriots were not just very good. They were GREAT! Wow, those were the days!
As long as Belichick stays in NE, we will be good again IF we can get even a halfway decent QB and a good O line. Pats D was great this year with no name players. Seriously, who could name more than 1 player on D? (Talking non patriots fans [even some pats fans couldnt lol]) Most all good teams have a couple "household names" on D. So keep Belichick, the defense, get rid of Mac and beef up the O line.
It was more like 20 in the last 11+. They had the ball at midfield with almost 6 1/2 to go and they took 5 minutes in overtime. I hate calling it 2 touchdowns in 3 minutes because you start counting after the first one, makes it seem like you got a touchdown in 0 seconds.
That's quarterbacking. The leader, the thrower, the decision maker. Great battle between great quarterbacks, great coach on both sides, the old dynasty of the last 20 years against the dominating force of the next 10 years and a potential new dynasty. Historic significance and implications, even more so when you look back at it years from now. Suspension, drama, back and forth, this game had everything. One of the greatest games I've ever watched. It was a pleasure.
Greatest game I ever watched - in person was The Raiders vs The Colts in a playoff game in Baltimore. 3 OT's if I remember correctly, 7 touchdowns were scored in our end zone including the winning TD pass to Dave Casper of The Raiders. That was the mid 1970's, Baltimore fans were amazing....spelling out COLTS the way Jets fans do now....VERY LOUDLY....could hear it walking to the stadium 10 blocks away.
Throw back to when a fan was using laser pointer on Brady’s face. Green light on his face pre snap was crazy. If a Patriot fan would’ve done it they would’ve labeled LaserGate

When I get depressed I always come back to this game it’s such a classic. The 14-0 lead New England got in the first half then the chiefs came out fighting the next half and the crazy “muffed punt” by Edelman and the interception after the muffed punt. How loud it got in that stadium each time it was 3rd and long for Brady and he would still convert them. Oh and Dee Ford in the neutral zone that took away a game winning interception for the chiefs. That was truly the super bowl that season

Yes! So many clutch moments! Insane game, from catches, the crazy punt, INT called back, etc. He needed this to prove he could lead the team to victory on the road. And beat the Rams again as a Patriot. A beautiful bookend for the franchise.
What a time being a Pats fan. Everyone talked about the low superbowl score and said Brady was carried to that superbowl win but a lot of people forget about this game that got them there
That's why it took BOTH Brady and Belichick! They both put in 110% every game. Bill with defense, Brady with offense. The patriots can be good again with even a halfway decent QB and a decent O line. Their D this year was really good. And with basically all no name players.
I mean, he threw a pick that was called back because Dee Ford got greedy. He would be remembered for choking this game and starting the Chiefs dynasty a year early if that didn't happen
I was at this game as a Pats fan. End zone, in the second row. Burkhead scored right in front of me in OT. I gotta say, after we won the Chiefs fans were all congratulating my daughter and I in our Pats jerseys. Most gracious fans I have ever been around.

This game still makes my stomach hurt. Brady is the definitive GOAT. If anybody else ripped my heart out like that, I don't think I would've watched football anymore. This was definitely the real SB that year.
this is what separate legends from good players...watching brady under pressure...no panic...just converting when the game was on the line...it looked like brady performed better on 3rd downs over 1st...epic
@@justiceprevail1552 That is a HUGE 'if' since scrambling type QBs generally don't have long careers. The Brady vs. Mahomes duel will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most memorable moments in football history, showcasing the talent, skill, and competitiveness of two generational quarterbacks.

@@justiceprevail1552Mahomes is already worlds ahead of Brady talent wise, but I doubt he’ll ever surpass the accomplishments, especially the rings.
@@brianh2834 Take your talent and stats. I'll take the wins. Brady the best to ever win at QB. Simple as that.
The Brady vs. Mahomes duel will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most memorable moments in football history, showcasing the talent, skill, and competitiveness of two generational quarterbacks.
That Hogan catch, his hands were always in contact with the ball. Amazing. Even though he used the ground to hold on to it for one second, he never fumbled it. Wow.
I watch this game every couple weeks or months. Just a beautiful display of great coaching and it translating on to the field. This team and the 2014 team were my favorites but being that on paper they weren’t too big of a team to contend with anyone and the fact they won it all makes this team special!
Not to be negative as I kinda like the Pats, but they would've lost to Seattle had Seattle not called the WORST play in Super Bowl history, and to Atlanta if they didn't play so aggressively late in the game🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@phillyeaglesforlife5127 for one that’s probably not true because that season Marshawn Lynch had horrible stats on short down yardage, which is exactly why they threw it because they didn’t trust Lynch to get into the endzone. As for the Falcons game, players make plays and teams show grit and that was that game was about. Take away the pick 6 and Blount fumble and the game isn’t as bad as it got to.
I grew up with friends that were Steelers fans. For over a decade he was just “lucky” “innacurate” haha he played another decade and just dominated the game
Tom Brady on that Ot drive solidified himself as the clutchest athlete ever! I’ve never seen an athlete have so many clutch plays and moments in a small sample time than Tom Brady!
Eli mannings son 💀
Tom brady is the clutchest football player ever but clutchest athlete is reaching mad
@@Markteryx 🤡🤓
Guessing you've never heard of Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier Drogba
@@Bennyy19 Brady is far more clutch than Ronaldo lmao. Messi would be a more apt comparison.
This wouldn't have been possible without Develin's block. I loved seeing him in the big plays
Football will never be the same without Brady.
Boring actually
It's way better now
@@B2Roland Ok little boy give mummy back her phone
@@m42037its so boring with the trash ass chiefs glazing lol
This commentary is crazy. Guy predicts every single play correctly. Amazing.
Cant get tired nor bored watching this over and over again!
This is the GOAT defeating the young protege in a championship then went into another team and again defeating they said the next Goat at the Superbowl with a lot to spare!
TB12🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I remember watching this on the edge of my seat screaming and going crazy. This had to be the craziest game I've even seen between 2 Great teams. This also has to be my favorite Patriots team with Brady, Gronk, Eddleman, Hightower, McCourty, Micheal, just an amazing team all around.
Romo's OT call is insane
I was looking for this comment. You’re so right, he called every play. I remember watching this thinking it was unbelievable. In hindsight it’s just as wild 😂
@@jackthistle2563 Back before he started to blow Mahomes in every game lmao....I remember the 2019 super bowl as soon as the Chiefs won he was like "O0oo0oh Jim, I dunno! Could Mahomes win 8 and knock off the GOAT? IDK JIM!"
@@jackthistle2563 Same here. I posted a similar comment before I saw this one, so I deleted mine. Romo was right on the money several times about which play the Patriots should (and did) run. Impressive.
Romo should call every big game. Idiot Aikman is annoying af
Romastramus thought he was going to the best play caller ever but he peaked early
14:48 “What a drive!!” 3 fouls to save the drive
I loved when we had Chris Hogan and Rex Burkehead. Their numbers weren’t always insane. But the contributions they made were insane! Hogan ALWAYS seemed to be wide open and Brady would find him. Because the defense was worried about Jules/ Gronk/ J-white. Hogans game against the Steelers I think? Where he set the patriots playoff record for most yards was a thing of beauty! If we would have kept those two and Danny for another year or two ( not sure which years they all left. Seems like it was around the same time ) our team would have been a lot better. Brady’s last year with us, how he took us to 12-4 and into the playoffs is one of his biggest achievements, in my opinion!
As a chiefs fan this game was historic. The young Mahomes coming so close to beating Brady and going to the Super Bowl. A heartbreaker but with how the following year went I became satisfied👍
just think Eli beat Brady 3 times, in 2007 Superbowl 42 and Eli beat Brady at pats stadium in 2011 regular season and Superbowl 46 . i don't know why Eli always played Brady good
@@funtyes1970 I NEVER knew this until my Son told Me last week 🤣 I must have blocked it out because how could I not known or remember this 🤦🏿♀️
i wasn't sure which year this was, and got to watch it for the first time just now not knowing if this was the first year mahomes went to the superbowl or not XD this was the prelude to that bills/chiefs nailbiter a year ago
@@funtyes1970 And they were ahead of the Pats by 12 late during the '06-'07 regular season. The Giants just matched up perfectly against the Patriots during that time.
Yep an we know what happened the following year after Brady didn't get a touch in OT rule change
