There are a bunch of great controller supported titles native to android. I think it is disappointing we dont have as many as we should though. Games like celeste, sonic mania, hyperlight drifter, etc would be fantastic on android
Honestly this phone is an absolute budget beast! I hope to be able to configure some sort os or navigator (Daijousho is a solid option) and be able to make some sort of portable arcade machine like a mini briefcase or cabinet.
@@HarryWT Which emulator are you using to run it I just brought this phone brand new, and I am using Dolphin emulator, and I noticed with Fzero getting some frame rate drops and slight bit of sound stutter ?
Hey man great video. I saw you managed to play fullscren on retroarch. How did you do it? I wasn't be able to play fullscreen. I just get an incomplete window.
Glad you like it. That seems to be an issue with screen size. I'm also getting a window display on my bigger tv while here on the smaller screen it goes full screen automatically
It keeps the phone cool for hours. I've used 7 hours at a stretch and the phone had a few water droplets on the back. Great and very useful little gadget. No lag on the phone whatsoever either. I had made a small review video on it too but in Hindi on my gaming channel: ruclips.net/video/dAyIJCAiOYo/видео.htmlsi=zX8L_653L9HTzFaA
I simply launched the emulators from samsung dex instead of mirroring it from the phone. That way the phone was still usable for other things or just leave it locked.
Can u explain or make a video on which device I need to play codm on my TV via dex? I'm confused about the controller, should I connect the controller to the TV or with Mobile?
Hi. You need to connect the controller to the ohone. Tv or monitor is just an output device to show the game. All the things you'll need are in this video's description. As for the controller, I recommend using this one which connects to the phone via bluetooth and is really good: ruclips.net/video/Pts8QMU9nMc/видео.html
I tried putting same exact setup.. galaxy s20 fe 5g. Pi one usb hub.. red gear pro wireless dongle connected to usb hub😢.. but instead on the monitor, i connected hdmi out to my samsung tv.. i am able to see the dex screen however, the wireless connector is not working with TV with retroarch android app? And i can use the same controller when directly connected with phone. Any help is appreciated please.
For me it works directly as soon as i plug in the usb dongle. Try connecting dongle at the end. You might have to restart your phone once first and then try again
@@HarryWT so usb dongle is only required when using the controller via mobile directly. However, when you have to use it via usb hub to get hdmi out to tv, the one end goes into mobile and the usb hub outlet has to be plugged with the wifi 2.4 GHz receiver dongle of the controller. So that everything works. It accepts the signal the the controller stops blinking.. i.e. it shows its paired, but no buttons work after this.. Whereas if I use the 2.4ghz receiver along with usbc adaptor for mobile. The same function works with the controller.. Your video shows that working. In my case it doesn't :(
I believe we cannot use gamepad for bgmi as we'll have to enable usb debugging for key mapping which is not allowed in the game. But all other compatible games work just fine. I enjoy genshin impact on the big screen with the gamepad a lot.
this phone did heat up quite a lot playing the games I showed or even while connected like this. It's advisable to use such a cooler to cool it or the phone back cover may get damaged as well.
Nope, no overclocking at all. That's odd since both the phones have the same chip in them. I did use the extended ram option 8 + 8 gb, don't know if that made any difference though. Try changing the settings in the emulator.
@@HarryWT yeah I tried everything. Although in Antutu my LG scored only a mere 560k and that's with a cooler. Without it, it goes as low as 450k. From what I've seen the cpu seems to be the problem since it's the one that goes down a lot. My guess is it might be the software that's holding it back or Android 13 messed it up.
That seems to be an issue with the games itself. Not all games support gamepads. You can try using emulation games those usually work well with gamepads.
If I'm not mistaken, S20 has the same chip as S20FE. If yes then performance should be at par. Should work quite similar to what I've shown in the video.

good video Harry, about to get one of these phones, looking forward to playing some shadow of colossus on the go!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy your new phone.

Hey buddy , quick question - can we stream Xbox cloud gaming on tv(which supports hdmi) with Samsung dex
I'm pretty sure that would work too. Haven't tried myself as it's not yet available here, unfortunately.

Hello, how about input lag in games connected to the TV and using gamepad with skyline or eggs ns emulator? could you test?
I tried the eggsns emu with the stratos xenon. It worked flawlessly and close to no input lag. hope that helps
What do i need to use two ps4 controllers for this?
Any advice would be much appreciated
I think you can pair both the controllers to your phone and then try using this. Should work just fine without the requirement of any other device.
I have literaly this phone tysm for the tips
Glad I could help!
Am also using the s20 fe im more than happy with it if anyone else has it what colour yall got i got the navy one
awesome

Yes, you would need to map the keys though using this method: ruclips.net/video/uMweW10iyHE/видео.html
What about windows game
you can play the android games on samsung dex only. if a windows game has been ported to android then that game should work too
You can try a game streaming service, but it doesn't run windows games natively.
