AJ, love your channel. Have a question, what size on-board charger would you think for a 50ah "power queen" lithium battery? Just got a great lightning deal on the amazon. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Hey, thanks for watching, @papaz143! I usually charge my packs manually on bench-top power supplies, but that's not recommended unless you know quite a bit about the charge profile for each chemistry. The easiest way is to find a good 10A charger that confirms in the marketing copy that it supports LiFePO4 chemistry. You want about 10A for that Power Queen because LiFePO4 likes to charge at ~0.2-0.3C, 50AH x 0.2 = 10 amps. I recommend the Noco Genius Single-bank 10A Charger. That's the one I'm most familiar with. You can find cheaper ones on Amazon and Ebay, but we're always rolling the dice when trying unfamiliar brand names.
Great channel... This video was very useful. Many thanks and I look forward to future videos... Joe
