    Wow some fantastic old jawa's. I would love to visit this museum. Jawa had some clever and enthusiastic engineers. It would be nice to take the bikes outside and start them. Thank you

    I had a '69 Jaws 350 2 stroke, most fun was watching people try to start it ... The gear shifter needed to be pushed in then rotated back to kick start ...

    Did you ever come across a Dunkley Whippet small motor cycle. I remember the interesting intake and exhaust system. I believe it was called a Torrodial valves system ?. Paul Dunkley comes to mind .This from circa 1958 time. Valve mechanism was basically an inverted pyramid shape in the cylinder head. It rotated open and closing ports as required, similar to the action of a more common disc valve system. But this was a four stroke engine of about 65 c.c.. Sealing the valve mechanism proved to be a problem I believe, it wore out quickly. Working on an 80 year old memory so will expect corrections.

    Wo ist das Museum, Burg Stein/Kamen ?
    Da stand vor 22 Jahren u.a. noch eine seltene Spitzwinkel CZ-Rennmaschine,
    Burg Kamen für Oldtimer und Jawa-Fans zu empfehlen. Die Wanderer K 500 war nicht so der Hit, oft Probleme mit dem Motor,
    die liegenden Einzylinder und die V-Motoren waren Top. Ob die K 500 als Jawa 500 besser war, würde mich interessieren.

    What is/was the relationship between Jawa and CZ motorcycles. Does either company still exist?

    • @jawatino3797
      @jawatino3797  4 года назад

      so that's a long story. They were two separate companies engaged in the production of motorcycles in Czechoslovakia. By the way, before the war, there were about 20 companies in Czechoslovakia that produced motorcycles. In the fifties, this two companies were merged and manufactured under one brand. Jawa still makes motorcycles, but no longer in the Czech Republic, but in India. ČZ no longer produces motorcycles.
