Love it!!! Did you ever consider painting your shutters the same gray as your deck? That would pop! And the teal around your mobile home that same color gray so it gives the cohesive look. Love the front porch makeover!!!!

To get the screws into the boards you have to pre-drill the holes. I learned this when I was trying to do man things lol. Love your channel and love your home. You definitely got me wanting to binge watch from the beginning.

The front porch looks so much better. As hot and humid as it is in Georgia, paint seems to fade a lot faster. We lived in Georgia for 25 years so I know what it does to it. We lived in Decatur, Georgia.

Great job Kelly!! Ferns love morning light, and they cannot stand hot afternoon sun. Also take a sprayer bottle and mist them down often. They thrive on this. I have them on my deck, but they require attention. And they really cannot stand hot afternoon sun. Just keep them watered and shaded and they will thrive. Morning sun is great for them if you don’t live in an extremely hot climates like Florida in July, August, and September. Love them and they will thrive. You will also have to get a bigger pot eventually and repot that one. Vern’s get huge. But it will be gorgeous sitting on your deck when it does.

I have a couple of ferns on my front porch in each corner. I bought at Lowe’s in gallon size pots about four years ago. I had to repot them in bigger pots. They are easy to take care of they need more water in the summertime I mist them often, cut them back in the winter months. I live in North Central Florida, when it freezes I cover them with a piece of plastic or tarp. I enjoy all your videos. 💕💕💕💕

I live in the deep south of Mississippi. I buy Kimberly ferns to hang a d they love the sun. I have one on my mailbox. It's gorgeous. Need to water everyday. Enjoy your porch. You did a great job gal.

Porch makeover look's great. If you own the home, I think painting the green borders the same color as the porch would definitely bring it all together nicely.

What a transformation! You deserve a rest! Isn’t it amazing how paint makes things look fresh and “new”? Wish I was as good as you at putting things together. I love ferns and I hang them just like you (still too early here) but I just keep them watered. Between the heat and wind they dry out quickly. By the time frost hits they’ll be huge! I only have two issues, birds trying to build nests in them and this little bright green caterpillar called, I think, a Florida fern caterpillar. But it’s worth it to add that beautiful greenery to your space. Great episode! Whew! I think I need a glass of sweet tea! 👏🏻🥰🙌🏻💕

Don't know if anyone has noticed but you are a very good daughter one day you may move out but you are making sure your mom has a nice place I know she is so proud of you, and your plant you have by the front door if you can find a way to stick a piece of lattice down in the back of the planter that plant will run and it will run up the lattice and be even more beautiful and my fern about every week I water them with miracle grow mix up about a gallon and half it with each plant well I love your channel and have a wonderful day♥

My ferns do very well on my porch in California with not too much sun. When it’s hot I water them every day. The project turned out beautiful! 🦋

Love the makeover .. I know that was hard work but it sure looks great .. for the fern , buy a clear thing , that hooks on the baskets that catch water from just pouring to the ground .. its one piece and has hooks to hang on basket ..I’m in the south as you so ,I would say water often when it gets hot ..those covers are great for ferns or flowers and helps them from drying out . You can get them where you find the clear plastic ones for other plants that sit around . We always have both of these kinds for our plants or flowers 🌺
Very nice!! A bench would be cute across the porch from the chairs for extra seating… a nice porch is an extended living space so it’s pretty important I think.
Ferns thrive in indirect bright sunlight if that makes sense. Water when the soil is dry, I always do this at night that way it has time to settle before the sun rises. You did a great job. Your porch looks awesome 👏🏻🌿🤍
Looks so good. Great Job. My experience with ferns is morning sun, water them everyday, and plant food every two weeks. Mine were so big they started to hang near the railing of my patio. 🦋

Get you a plastic round to sit the flower on. When you water it, water want get on your floor. Can buy at Dollar Tree, etc. Looks amazing !!! Lots of effort and hard work. Enjoy your beautiful porch.

Looks awesome. You can buy long flower pot hooks at Walmart to bring your ferns down to where you can see them better and easier to water.

Girl I am worn out after just watching this video! Great job!! I am terrible with ferns (have killed several over the years) so hopefully you can learn from my mistakes. They do not like direct sunlight. They need to be watered regularly (daily but not too much) and mist the leaves. Also, you can get these chain like things to hang them from that will put them more at eye level. They're real cheap at WalMart and will make it so you see them better. Learned this from my "Martha Steward" mom (a trait I did NOT inherit as I have zero decorating skills...lol(. Great job girl! I love watching your videos.

Kelly your porch is beautiful and inviting!! I put 5 boston ferns on our porch which is on the north side of the house. I have found out through the years that ferns do not like sun. They also like moist soil. I git tired of watering everyday, that my husband put me in a drip system on our porch(already had a faucet on porch) so was easy to install and sure saves me time watering. My ferns now grow very bigand their fronds touch the porch railing.🦋

First time watching your channel…I too live in a mobile home so it’s nice to see what others do. Love your porch. Hint for the fern (the leaves burn easy in direct sun but where you have it is a great location and they also love to have there leaves misted. Just keep you a spray bottle full of water and spritz them in the evening.

Looks so gray and looks so much larger too!! Get ya a large white roll down shade for that area behind the seating- the sun will fade and damage everything you just paid for! Boston ferns like a lot of moisture/water and not direct sunlight, they burn very fast.
I just love how much better this looks, alot of work, but its worth it to sit and relax admiring all this freshness !!! :)

Great job. Painting the shutters Marigold Gloss spray paint would look great. If you can get a free nice wood pallet, cover it with inexpensive drop cloth (staple it tight) and get a used crib mattress, your son and doggie could cuddle. Have a great spring.

I hear ya on the DIY stuff. Even when I was married I had to put together everything as my husband was either deployed or just too lazy to help me. Now he is an ex husband. But as a single mom you have to be handy with tools and putting things together. You are a super mom. And ya did an amazing job.
