I would paint those white pots black like your front door. Could tape off a horizontal stripe on top and bottom and spray paint or brush on an antique bronze, copper or gold stripe accent. You could get metal or plastic address numerals and spray them same antique color and attach to center of lower part of front door...and add a matching antique bronze, copper or gold kickplate at bottom of door. Add a mailbox, A windchime on a yard hook....done!
Your porch looks sooooo great girl! Also I never wear shoes...like ever...even when I pressure wash. I predict people will get on my case too if I every post a pressure wash video.
@@thatswhatisaid8908 I think that's exactly the reason. 😉 But since (in FL) barefoot is a fashion choice almost all of my outdoor activities are done barefoot. Lol. Have a great weekend
New subscriber here in Tulsa Oklahoma. I'm so glad I found someone who, like me, is a restaurant manager + parent of 2 (dogs) + spouse + main caretaker of the house and yard. So yeah, I know exactly what its like and Yes, our job is never done. Biggest comment I can give is that I love the honesty and transparency you give, to show the real you. Kuddos to you for still finding time to make these videos on top of your growing list of responsibilities Your doing great, I'm 'borrowing' alot of your ideas, best wishes and keep it up.
That black door surround really elevated your space. And that bee door wreath is so great precisely because its not perfect. Your vision and hard work really paid off.
Hello Kilee! I am now just stumbling upon your videos and love them! You seem so genuine. When you talked about laundry not being done etc. I knew you were my kind of people! By the way I love what you did with your dads surfboard, I thought that really came out well. I appreciate your honestness. I am trying to re do my flower beds right now and it seems to be a struggle every year to get it to look decent. Nice to know I am not alone. Thank you for your videos, I look forward to viewing more!
Love lambs ear. Up in canada 🇨🇦 we use it a lot. Great ground cover. Their spike flowers look good for a short time, and then I cut them down when they start to look tired.
Plant tips: The Carolina Jessamine (the yellow flowering vine) will grow very tall and will eventually need a sturdier trellis. The Lamb's Ear will spread wider but not grow taller. It does have a lavender flower that grows on a spike. Bees love it. The candy tuft prefer full sun (6 hours) and do not like too much moisture. They are a spring bloomer. They will also not really grow much taller but will spread if the conditions are right.
Hello hun hope all is well, we are actually just into autumn here in Australia thank god for that because I hate summer. However we have have had devastating home and business ruining floods on the east coast of Australia it’s just been awful non stop. We have been quite lucky where I live. Some people have lost everything. It’s been a heartbreaking time here x take care everyone
We are the same, lol. I love that the tree was still plugged in! If it were me, I'd leave my trees up, lite up, and change the decor for the seasons, but my fam says....no..lol
Beautiful! Love the bee theme. I just moved to New Bern, NC from South Jersey. My lord, pine straw everywhere…..But I have enjoyed the free jumbo size pine cones, Spanish moss and pampas grass !!!
Omg yes we get everything in one day, sometimes all in a few hours lol... Sometimes I think mother nature is just having fun with us, but you have to love NC
Beautiful, beautiful. I started bee theme when I moved in the place I'm in but I was sick really bad last year but looking forward to do my yard this spring and summer. Thanks so much for sharing.
It's so beautiful i really love it , i don't have a porch or a patio or baloney but i really like what other people do to there spaces and new here just scrolling past.
We call is mud season in Maine. Its still chilly here but warming up and of course getting muddy. I love love love the bees and plan to do something similar with my front porch (doorsteps). Thanks as always for the awesome ideas and just being you :)
So love ❤ 😍 💖 ❣ it awesome job. And I like that most that you are budget friendly. Now in days with the cost of living I cry yesterday I said either gad to work or food. And watching you relax me a lot. Thank you. Didn't know you have tiktok will look for you. Thank you always
You are literally the only RUclipsr that I am willing to watch every makeover video. A lot of people I will only watch their cleaninging videos or only organizing but for some reason I will watch your videos no matter what the content lol. Hope you are doing well
Hi Kilee, that was a beautiful introduction. You weren't begging for viewers. Your remake caught my eye. The door and sidelight are striking painted black. It's nice that you have the house to yourself, you can decorate the way you want. I think a go-away husband helps keep you sane! Monkey plants, hadn't heard them called that! 🐒🙈🙉🙊🐒 New plants ARE small & lonely, my thoughts exactly.. I just fill in with large stones/boulders and garden accessories. I see you have a little princess helper. The black mulch nicely ties into the door. That pineapple makes a statement and anchors the small garden! Ohhh, it's stunning!! Ha ha ha! Hi husband! Brig-er-ton, with a hard G! Yes, you succeeded in a Recency style look!!
I'm in Canada, 31 miles from the New York State Border. Spring arrived early for March, and then we got winter again. 4 inches of snow. I'm looking forward to spring arriving again.
I do love lambs ear, we live in SC and our weather is about the same, unless yall live in the mountains. So, my lambs ear spread like there is no tomorrow . Keep an eye on it!
I love the Bridgerton vibes with the bees! After seeing the shot of the front door, now I think you should paint the trim of the little round window to the right of the door black as well!
Kilee, I happened onto your video today (3.22.23) and thought I would stay awhile! I was pleasantly surprised!! NW Missouri is where I call home. We have just started our seeds indoors for spring planting. I had bought some bee sheets and a quilt for my bedroom. Watching your front door transformation really got me in the mood to start working on my room. Thank you for the inspiration! I'm now a big fan of yours !!!! 🤓
Whaaat ! You wore shoes to pressure wash ! What were you thinking! 🤣🤣🤣There now you can do what you want shoes or no shoes ! This looks great😁An awning over that little garden spot could turn it into another great sitting place / garden spot
Looks great. I use black too with creamy yellow. Creeeping Jenny is a perenial in mt zone 5 that gets 20 below and snow and my ejnny comes back every yr. I bought 3 little pots back in 2010 and planted it on an embankment (at previous place) and I frive by there and see it is a mass of creeping Jenny. I winter it over here at this place in groud and pots and use it to fill pots in the Spring Saves $. It doesn't like to get too dry.
Your front porch is so refreshing. Can't wait to start cleaning outside if the weather would work with us. I have put a tulip wreath on the door. Keep it coming, I really enjoy watching. Thanks.
Spring in TN is just like yours. It gets here first then on to your state. I love the black door. I bought the paint to paint mine black. Waiting for the perfect day to do it. Lol It all looks great ! I watch "garden answer" on you tube for helpful hints on landscaping and flowers and plants. I love her videos. I know what it's like to have my hubs gone most of the time too. Mine is a towboat operator. Gone 28 days at a time.
You did a wonderfull job I'm sure you know that the impotent thing when planting is to water the plants in the ground all so the pots other wise your going to lose most of them the ground looked very dry would be sad after all your planing to go to waste so water the plants so that they take root again lovely job thanks for video
I had cereal for dinner tonight! 👍🏼 Spring in MN…it’s awful! It practically doesn’t exist except that it’s snow/rain mix after you have had 60 degrees. This state makes you wait and wait and it teases you with the good stuff. When and if the good weather arrives, it’s for about 3 hours. Then you can relive winter again until nearly June. We’re moving very soon, to the south! 😎
Love it!!!!!! So fresh and new!! I am in mid Michigan and it's cold and rainy here so far!! I have a couple more weeks before I tackle the front porch area!!!
So bee-u-tiful!!! Love the black white and yellow. Everything so nice. Love lamb's ear but over the yrs mine has all gotten gone. I will definitely be looking for some and I have some candytuff seeds I wondered what to do with. I love idea of putting it with the lamb's ear. Just be very careful using the dyed mulch. I had always used the more natural brown but decided last yr to use red cos our concrete walkway is painted a barn red. The dye leeched into the ground and almost killed my clamatis and asters. It didn't bother the marigolds and zinnias. Going back to brown! I'm in NE Tenn and our temps were in the hi 60s for several weeks then last Saturday snowed! I should have cut my daffodils and enjoyed them inside. Now back to hi 60s with scattered showers about every day. Enjoy your lovely porch!
You know what might be cute in that patch too . You could do like a little mini veggie garden in raised beds. Maybe in a way so that if you are not into it, you could move it.
You did a fantastic job! Looks very welcoming. I'll have to check out your book series recommendation. I'd love to put a gold bee knocker on our front door.
Really love your channel. Love that you are down to earth, tells it like it is without being harsh. Finally, someone on youtube that is real! Looking forward to more videos. The flowerbed looks great as well as the whole front porch. 😊
Watching your videos as they are recommended to me now that I'm following you! Love how real you are 😊 love the black door, I would go ham and do that window frame too! Can't wait to see more.❤

I don't understand why you would wear shoes, they are only gonna get soaked. Is it a safety issue perhaps?
@@thatswhatisaid8908 I think that's exactly the reason. 😉 But since (in FL) barefoot is a fashion choice almost all of my outdoor activities are done barefoot. Lol. Have a great weekend
Door looks so much better with side panels black👍🌷

The creeping Jenny, great ground cover, needs full Sun🌞🐝LV your bees!🍯👒🐣
I wish I could have a coffee at this table :)
So calming, so nice!
Greetings from Bosnia :)
That black door surround really elevated your space. And that bee door wreath is so great precisely because its not perfect. Your vision and hard work really paid off.
Looks Amazing! Love the yellow and That Bee! You nailed it by painting the door sides; makes everything look rich and classy! I like your taste!
So cute. I jyst put down a rug, fake spring flowers in 2 frog pots, & a spring door hanger.

Your vision came together beautifully.
Newbie here! My husband works out of town 75% of the year so I can relate. Love love love this makeover!

Seeing how nice your porch and front area looks makes me know I really need to get busy. Lol

Your porch is adorable! I saw that gold bee at Target and never would have thought to use it on a wreath! What a great idea!
🐝 Beeutiful . I love the hanging flowers over the doorway and the 🐝 Bee Wreath 🌷🐝🌷
You had me sold when you said cereal for dinner! Lol my kind of friend!
Beautiful! Love the bee theme. I just moved to New Bern, NC from South Jersey. My lord, pine straw everywhere…..But I have enjoyed the free jumbo size pine cones, Spanish moss and pampas grass !!!
Love the trellis and jasmine by front walkway!
The way you blow leaves is very cute!
Looks Awesome ...love the BEEEEEEES
The fact that you keep it so real girl I love it! I’m bare foot sometimes in the garden lol it’s okayy!
Turned out so nice ,love the door and the Bee theme.
Hope your husband gets more excited when he sees it.

Get you a downspout drain thingies to keep water away from house, so won't wash your mulch away also....to go down side drive...looks amazing 👏
