Ah, people-watching - such a wonderful way to see the world from a fresh perspective.
I often find myself lingering at a café terrace in Paris, spending hours observing people as they go about their daily lives, imagining their stories, their families, and their homes.
You chose the perfect song by The Eastern Plain to capture this feeling.
Thank you so much for that beautiful, graceful moment! 🙏

am 70, and free. spent my life focused on work, now I can do whatever I wish. it truly is a blessing. I wish I had achieved this freedom when I was a bit younger, but cannot change reality, and am blessed and grateful for every bit of my life. it's an adventure.
I love to people watch in the beer garden at Nana occasionally., or from the Stumble Inn...
    thanks Ryan.

    Great video Ryan
I have been a subscriber of yours since you first started your channel , and the reason I have stayed with you for so long is because you are and have always remained the same caring , honest and raw person that you are , I am a lot older than you , and yet you have such a worldly and wise for someone your age .
I think that you and damo and the kids have a life that no money can buy .
And it is because you cherish happiness and enjoying every moment , the good and the bad .
Thanks for showing us all how beautiful life is when you just forget about the material things and just be thankful to have good health and soak up every small thing that is good about the world and dont take life too serious , as tomorrow is never promised .

Sitting still and watching the world you see such beauty, ugliness sadness, happiness, poverty, wealth. Its the best form of meditation and if we all took a little time each day to do this I think our world would be a kinder more compassionate place. Free enterprise for Thais and how resilient and resourceful they are is another example of how the Western world imo has failed. God forbid there you set up a stand outside your house to sell vegetables or juice or coffee etc rather than claiming state benefits.

    Great video Ryan.
You hit a chord with me tonight. I've done 60k klms touring Thailand the past 3 years. When I'm not looking at the scenery (or taking evasive action on the roads😅), I also see the local people, plus Burmese and Cambodians slogging it out in all weather. Many for below minimum (paltry) wages and I think to myself... how privileged I am to have been borne in a more affluent and egalitarian society.
My heart goes out to these people and I try to always show respect to them and TIP ALL I WANT to try and improve there lives in a small way (even though I'm reluctant to do so back home).
When I watch the my home newsmedia and hearing first world problems, I say to myself...come over here and walk a day in the this groups' shoes and let me know what it was like; and also keep smiling as they do.
What affects me even more is the disparity in wealth between the HiSos I see driving their luxury European sportcars (recklessly I might add) in full sight of locals who can barely afford motobike transport, or getting transported around in the back if an open truck).
    Count your blessings always.🙏🙏

The old city of Chiang Mai is a showcase of the north's fascinating indigenous cultural identity that includes diverse dialects, a delectable cuisine, distinctive architecture, traditional values, lively festivals, numerous handicrafts workshops, northern style massage, and classical dances. The best I like is the way the people who designed the wall areas as some tourists are taking snap with it too.

Ryan, this is such a great vlog, so peaceful and an honest view of the world around 'us'. How beautiful life is when we can just relax in relatively quiet surrounds and observe people going about their daily lives, wondering what their lives are like. Until recently, I drove Buses in my local city Public Transport system. While always careful when actually driving, my pastime was watching people.
I'm still wondering where this Vlog fits in the timeline with the terrible floods in northern Thailand in the past week. If those floods affected you, I guess that we will see your view, but if not, maybe we just have to assume that you dodged the heavy rain, or were there before the floods 🤔

A long time ago in Hawaii there was a road that determined your whole life, if you were born on the "land" side you would grow up and be a farmer and if you were born on the "ocean" side you would be a fisherman. There really wasn't any questioning it because you did what your folks did. I agree many peoples lives/livelihoods are determined by the area they are born. there are many underpaid workers in Thailand ( any many many places around the world ) however I'm sure a lot of them take pride in the hard work that they do because it feeds their families - doing what must be done despite not wanting too makes you proud of yourself and being proud of yourself i believe is the foundation of happiness - which might explain why Thais are so happy. Also the belief if that if they are good in this life they will come back in better circumstances in the next life. My suggestion ( Jeremy Clarkson quote ) - if you hear a worker complain about the heat or a farmer about the weather, buy them a beer because they are being crucified"

paint sprayer here 🖐Looks like a car paint scheme she has there. you would take your car there and she would get the paint code and also match it to a color chip card and that gives you the formula for the paint mix. I bet the canny Thai people are not paying the £100 a hour labor charge the garage I’m working for at the moment charges

I come to CM in a weeks time on my 11th visit. I also people watch there and see things I would never see anywhere else. Fascinating.
Last year near that 7/11 your were eating at the bakery we were 'accosted' by a very persistent Songthaew driver for a trip somewhere. Being that I was just having a walk and have seen most tourist places I politely declined but he wasn't having it and then proceeded to tell me his life history, in the hope I might change my mind! He stated that he was a former Muay Thai Master teacher and showed me his 'licence' and some photos of his 'family. A western lady and two teenage kids, obviously some tourists he'd given a ride to at some time :)
I was also in Pai last year and felt a wee bit out of place as were thousands on gap year kids there having the time of their lives. Was nice to see that their experiences and memories would last a life time. I must say that the scenery around Pai was stunning and up there with the best in Thailand.

Nice shot of the Super Rich money exchange where I or they forgot to return my passport. Left it in their copy machine. They were closing n I was careless. Turned my hotel room upside down looking for it. Went back the next day and another girl said no passport here. Imagine seeing the copy machine looking ajar and that's when I thanked God. Many times.

Extremely happy YT algorithm showed me your channel, what you shared at the end of the video were my exact thoughts as you were showing us different people doing their day to day jobs, it actually made me tear up because as a person who enjoys traveling and leaving my home base as much as possible I think of others who may never be able to ever leave their country to explore other parts of the world for many reasons, it almost feels wrong that only some get to experience this and how everything is so unequal, but like you said, sadly that’s just how it’s been and it will continue to be so the least we can do is be kind to others as much as we can because we don’t even realize how blessed we are, and I’m guilty as I often times forget that. I enjoy your content, fuck the dumb idiots who leave ignorant comments, excited to visit this country for the first time in a couple months, bendiciones 💛

Prices seems to have gone up 5 baht at average on the smoothies tea and coffee... since before covid.
Very different from most western country's where some working people cant afford basic food anymore.
Heck a coffee "to go" will soon cost a kidney in some country's

Safe, Healthy, Cheap, Refrigerator. I think what they mean is Safe, Clean, Cheap, In-room refrigerator. Lost in translation. Great channel by the way.

I was thinking the same, but thought maybe "refrigerator" indicated air conditioner or fans

Great walk and talk Ryan. My freedom is a bit different at 66 years of age. I love people watching which i do daily while walking around the city. Also am free from vehicles, fuels, registration, licences, insurance and all that which were so necessary for work and family life in the USA. To each their own. I would rather walk or ride public transport, talk with and see people, help out street food vendors, massage shop employees, and the fruit shake lady rather than spend money on personal transport which is dangerous and unnecessary in Pattaya city., Peace and Love Y'all

Everyone has to do things they don't want to do. I am sure you do things you don't want to to do but it helps you and others have a better life.

I went there once, it was great. I hired a moped and went up the main mountain road.. The views were spectacular, you can see for 100 miles, all across the jungle/rainforest. I've never experienced views like that before or since, amazing, please film some.
