That was excellent Wayne
Keep em coming. We love em
Thank you buudy!
Great video. Keep them coming. Property videos are always interesting.
Thanks! It was great to look around this place. One of the more grand estates I've seen.
Loved the furnished 5 bedder mate Awesome home. 🤩
Really nice, best one I’ve seen for luxury 👍
Great vlog mate it makes my day when you upload a vlog keep them coming 🏴👍👍
Thanks buddy! 👍
That 40 baht plate of food at the end just killed it for me. Talking about highway robbery, Wayne! 😤
Yeah not the best veggies and rice 🤣. Probably the worst I’ve had.
You've been doing some great tours recently, I loved Graceland but this one in Mae Rim is even nicer. That looks like real quality builds. what I would like about living these complexes are they are probably pretty quiet at night. The first one you went in for $111K would be perfect for me
Cheers Dan! Yes, this place was a step higher than Graceland. Some really nice places and great views.
Mai Rim is the best area for me in Chiang Mai. It feels like the equivalent of Hampstead. You have the four seasons lots of other cool places and Prem School and not that far to city center.
Very nice!!! Love it!!! But I prefer a spacious one bedroom. Less space, less maintenance and cost effective.
Happy Days 👍
Thanks, Wayne--2 questions:
1. What do you mean about trying veg first at new place? Is it to make sure their food doesn't cause illness?
2. It seemed like she quoted only $100 per year for fees. Do you think she meant monthly and not yearly? Seems low...
Thanks again! Great vid as always
If I'm somewhere where I've not eaten to much, I will play it safe and get the veggies. It's normally fine but I always be careful in some street food cheap places. I didn't understand what she said about the fees. I think it would be more than $100 though, for sure.
Thanks.
Great vlog Wayne. Thanks for showing us around 👍🏼
Thanks mate 👍
Is Chiang Mai turning into the west mate? KFC, Maccas, Starbucks, gated communities full of farangs. Might as well stay home🤣
Yep….just stay away from the high brow farangs and live amongst the lovely Thais. It will be a much more peace-filled life.
It's definitely getting more modern, lots of new builds going up. Luckily, it's still far from being as bad as home 🤣
Another fab report Wayne. Those developers are also massive in Chiang rai. I was actually in a similar 5 bed a friend of my sons home all very hiso moneyed Thais. But would I pay that money no buy a Greenfield site build your own design with pool etc. But I have fallen in love with Chiang mai I have to admit.
Thanks Colin! Yes, I think I would rather design my own. This place was really nice though. Great views and just far enough out the city.
Very interesting tropic.
Thanks for sharing your adventure.
From my own limited perspective, i don't understand how people would like to move in to such complex where all the neighbours are on top of you and all the houses looks very much the same.
But that's just my personal opinion.
When people have money, they do as they pleases.
Anyway!
Good job with the video and thanks
Thanks! People like different things I guess buddy. I think I would prefer a house further out in a small village though. Thanks again.
Wiw Wayne, you certainly get value for money.
Yes mate, still very cheap compared to the west.
I’ll be in Chiang Mai in about three weeks, Hopefully see you doing a video and go for a drink if you like to give me some tips and advice on places to go. I’m trying to decide if I could make the move full time. 👍🏻
Hi Marcus, I'll probably be out of town then but hope to see you around own at some point. I hope the move plans go well.
@@WalkAboutWayne, no worries mate….hopefully I’ll be out there soon 👍🏻
Those two houses in the US would be hitting $1.5-2.0M depending on where it sits.
Wow! The view from that last balcony is very nice.
Yes, I really liked that view. Great area to build a house.
Wow, very nice. The weather looks very nice as well. Still avoiding the floods which is great. Stay safe brother.
Nice place. Chiang Mai city has stayed clear of the floods so far. The improvements they made has helped alot. Thanks buddy!
Wow Wayne! Thanks, I was impressed. I very much like the layout of the mini-mansion, but I can't help but wonder if the Dollar and Pound do a major downhill slide, how likely it might be in a few years if we might be saying: "Yea, I remember old Wayne showing that property for under half a million!"
It was a nice place Jack, the most grand I've seen yet. Yes, that could happen, it's dropping now and I hope the £ comes back to 46.
Please Wayne no more estate vlogs. 🙏 It's so depressing to see Chiang Mai turn into another overpriced high stress city like we have in America.
Chiang Mai is definetly on the up and many new builds are going up around the city. Maybe the city will look different in the next 20 years. I wouldn't say is a stress city just yet . I like a good estate vlog, so can't promise that buddy.
Hi interesting, we lived in Mae Rim few months. Maybe we will check it out this winter when we come. They have a real nice public swimming pool area, pay to enter and it was very clean. Just behind MaeRim Plaza 🏊🏊♀️ Wow very elegant houses looks like in US, will takes some personal things and colour to make it cosy😊 thank you for showing👍
Thanks! Yes, it's a really big project and nice area. Some of the houses and views are amazing.
The only decent place will be Mr DIY, love the place!!!!!😊
Greatest shop ever made. If you need it, Mr.DIY will have it 🤣
Great film Wayne. Good to see some hi-end properties for a change. It’s not all about living as cheap as possible here in Thailand, as you see in other videos. Well done. Best wishes from me here in Bang Saray.
True mate, lot's of more high end stuff around these days. Some really nice houses about. Thanks.
Shame it’s on the 107 road, keep up the good work
Yes, nightmare of a road. I seen some reviews of people moaning about getting in and out of the new Kan Farang.
Good to see you again Wayne are you going to film bang saray in South from Scott new Zealand
Cheers mate! I nearly went to Bang Saray, when I was down that way last year. Maybe I'll head that way again in the future .
@@WalkAboutWayne enjoy your video thank you from Scott new Zealand
I would almost be excited about this new Rim Ping but that road (the 107?) is a such a nightmare I think I'll still try to avoid it from Mae Jo. The other Rim Ping is a pain to get to also though and it's further. Sadly they only build these things on the most congested highways, maybe that's to teach us a lesson about buying over priced imported foods in Thailand. 😂
Yeah the 107 is a crazy road, not one of my favorites on a Honda Click. I don't know why they built in this location. It will look good when finished but off the main road would have been better.
I want to get away from the west because of the malls. Shopping shopping shopping. Mostly for sht you don’t need and maxed out on your credit card 😂
Yeah we don't need Thailand to get too westernized. I can always head to the mountains I guess 🤣
Looks good you should buy one
I want the 5 bedroom mansion. 👍
@@WalkAboutWayne I'd settle for the 3 bedroom 🤭 love watching your videos hope I get to say hi seeing you around the traps!!!
Livin' is easy with eyes closed - - Strawberry fields forever... Eleanor Rigby stay home.
Bobby Dazzler!!
Not another shopping mall. Thailand is shopping mall crazy . This development probably targetting Chinese investors.
Yes, I would say alot of Chinese will be buying the houses here.
🙏🏻
👍👍
Lots of glass to clean 😂😂😂
Yes, I wouldn’t like cleaning the place 🤣
Suits you mate
Maybe buy 2 😂😂
Tempted, but I need more space 👍
Is it possible to rent one?
Not now, but I'm sure some will be rented once purchased
WHICH ONE WILL YOU BUY WAYNE, HEHEHE
Bit cramped for me mate, I need more space.
Priscilla wouldn't have looked 'out of place' in that couch.
She would be right at home here 👍
Cheap Charlie on Starbucks 5555
Gym, tennis, badminton, pickleball, swimming ???? 🙏🏻
More than likely buddy, this place with have the lot.
@@WalkAboutWayne gotta have the lot if you’re paying that much..thx 🙏🏻
A uncle Phil reference😂😂😂 such a American Brit you are. If I hear a Martin reference, we going to have to check your passport and birth certificate
🤣 Fresh prince a major part of UK TV in the 90s. I still watch it now sometimes.
I'm thinking you must be expecting to become a RUclips millionaire, or to snag yourself a MP government pension, if you are looking at places like this! :)
if I emptied all my piggy banks 🤣. I'm not house hunting here buddy, just looking around and doing a vlog.
I guess farangs can't own houses right?
Ways around it. as the lady mentioned on the video. It’s tricky.
30 year lease, my English friend bought one in Hua Hin, new build about 15yrs ago, sold it without any problems 3 yrs ago. The developers actually own the land, he also had the blue house book as well.
@@stevejohnson2130 That's right, you can own the house but not that land. Still alot of hoops to jump through though.
We own a house in Hua Hin just bought it with a 30 year lease with two options to renew of 30 years
Nice mate but way out of my league 😂😂
I put your name down for the mini mansion Dave 🤣
@@WalkAboutWayne 😂😂😂I would get lost in a place that size used to my studio
Great view...my arse😅
Cheer up Alfred, it might never happen 👍
Just what we need. More crappy Western processed food outlets. 🤢
Yeah, things are changing, alot of new stuff going up in Chiang Mai.
It's a hill get over it
Good joke Alfred 🤣. It’s an old one but a good one.
