So many truckers losing there jobs. Our truck broke. The runs prior were really bad pay. Now it sits. I am so scared. It is not starting. The company will not help. Now at a truck stop working his ass off trying to get back on the road. I had to move into a liw income apartment. God bless you all stay safe.

Old school solo, so its a cooler in the passenger seat to grab drinks when rolling, cold meals or snacks only in the truck, no cooking in the truck, micro and fridge removed for more storage space. I came into it in 94, so being used to it from the get helps I'm sure. Hot food daily, just not from the truck.
I agree that cold meals are the reality of trucking. I'm so fortunate my wife cooks and freezes food for me. She boils eggs for me. And I love cereal and simple foods. But it is nice to eat a hot meal from home. Thanks for watching and commenting besafe

@sword-and-shield It's funny u say that. Because when I'm home and my wife makes dinner. She says let me know when you're ready to eat. And I tell her to just let mine sit on the counter. I'm so used to my meals being cold or room temperature

I remember running in the house grabbing a plate and pulling off a pot, pan, or tray without even warming it, this when most didn't even have microwaves yet. Mom yelling "aren't ya going to at least heat it up"? Nope..out the door I went....Don't get me wrong I love hot food, but I can live on cold without a thought.

I am the same way, fridge, microwave, the only thing I wish the company would do is put a bigger inverter. Hit a 1250 need a 2000 or so that way I can run a hotpot for tea coffee
I am company driver, i have a fridge and 3500watt. Inverter. 12 cup coffee maker. And a frying skillet. And i know how to use them. I say no to trashy. Food. I fry hamburger. Steak. Eggs. Have real silverware. Can use hot water from coffee maker to wash skillet And eat good. 😊 been out here 26 years. A drivers gotta eat. So I agree. Takes alot of water. I buy at Walmart and such. Who can afford 4$ a gallon? I do eat good and spend less.

Rode with a cooler and a 12v warming pouch for years before fridge and microwave were introduced to the trucking world

Yes a larger inverter is always better. If u buy one for your truck. U can use that inverter as a tax write off.
