That was sad that she missed these opportunities in first set and when you lose such a tight set it's really hard to come back... I hope she'll be back stronger next year. However, it's so interesting that she's smiling and laughing at press but I know that it's only her response to stress and disappointment inside
You can't be to mad on yourself too long, and Iga knows this - that's tennis and sport in general. Either way she fought well and she's proud of her GS consistency.
She lost her head in the second set, but that’s normal for such a young winner like her, no doubt she’ll improve aspects of her game and keep challenging for later rounds in the future!!!
I will use the proverb: learn from your mistakes. I think it was just couple of bad shot choices and bad luck in tie- break. She should have won it, as Navratilovasaid. Had many chances. After such exhausting 1st set it was really difficult to expect her to come back stronger. She's just turned 20 couple of months ago. Apparently the only WTA player who consistently reached at least 4th round of all grand slams this year, so she's achieving what she aimed for: consistency
She constantly uses her age to justify herself, she looks at Fernández and Raduccan, both 18 and with a lot of mental strength and great game, Iga delivered the match, she only sees her childhood mistakes, she is exhausted, and if she cannot go beyond the 4th round , it's a shame for her ...
@@lauramirande185 Fernández and Raduccan haven't won GS yet and haven't been under the pressure as Swiatek is now; Has she justified herself?
