My dad saved a sparrow half frozed on the snow. It lived in the kitchen and living room until spring, the sink full of water to drink and swim. In March my dad had two young sisters release it. It flew away. Then about 14 months later a bird tapped on the window: it came back with two much-more-hesitant chicks. My dad kissed the bird, fed all three, then they flew away.

A stoopid- sounding reply made me double take: is aviary polygamy a thing? It turns out it is in big-ass common pheasants, where the males act like the lion equivalent of peacocks. The only other such polygamous bird is a wren that gawd-damn is small and wide spread in North America and may be mistaken for the "sparrow" i thought it was. Maybe a genius reply! Considering the disability, he was more than likely pushed out of the nest by a bigger sibling.
His happy, outgoing and generous nature shows he is glad for the help and love he's received from his new mum.
There's no other love like it.
I love birds, and I always keep them, and about about 10 years ago a little 3 month old cockatiel came into my home.
She was the runt. She was half blind, couldn't fly... she'd been bullied in her original aviary by the other birds... she was underweight, and her feet were underdeveloped due to constantly being pushed off the aviary perches... and everything was a threat to her, because that's all she knew.
    Pain and suffering.
I put up with the bleeding fingers and chewed fingernails and the screaming for about 3 weeks until she knew I was no threat, and I gave her love and attention... and eventually I was the only creature, human or otherwise, that could touch her and my voice was the only voice she would listen to.
I even got her to give me kisses before bedtime.
Sadly she died at only 3 years old, but I gave her the happiest life I could have possibly have given her.
    Birds know.
    They ain't stupid.

i love how she shows that even a small "insignificant" animal has rich emotions and personality. we just have to listen. Edit: Several people complained about me using the word "insignificant." Let me clarify: I do NOT think they're insignificant. In fact, I own birds and teach people around me just how much personality and emotions they have. When I say insignificant, I meant how MOST people see them. Unfortunately, most people appreciate cats and dogs, but not birds. Before me, many of my friends/family think birds are 2-dimensional animals with no feelings. But I'm glad people are starting to appreciate them more. Anyway, stop telling me birds are not insignificant, I KNOW that. Go tell people around you.

Lord Jesus Christ is coming back everyone, please don’t worship celebrities and entertainment, focus on Him alone. I promise there’s more to life than money, partying, homosexuality and music. Hell is real, repent from sinning confess your sins and ask God to forgive you, I know He will if you’re sincere. Anyone who thinks the Name of Lord Jesus Christ is a joke, boldly mocks and scorns Him or takes pleasure in people who do is in for a big unpleasant surprise on judgement day IF they don’t repent and follow Lord Jesus Christ. Hell is very hot, people please repent! In the mighty name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen 🙏💪✝️💜❤️✝️!
Idolatry such as, Islam, Catholicism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Santa Clausism, Confucianism, New Age, Science, Evolution, halloweenism, Harry Potterism, Politics, Donald Trumpism, Easter Bunnyism and other religions/faiths that are outside Biblical Christianity lead to hell! Don’t believe them, believe the Almighty God the Father of Lord Jesus Christ, who begot Him. Our Creator, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is mighty, He doesn’t need a woman to beget a son, He is God. I choose to put my faith in a God who can do anything and everything, a God who has unlimited and infinite power to beget!
So, it’s time to confess that Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord and to believe that He died and rose from the grave after three days and you shall be saved if you only obey Him by praying, worshipping, praising, reading the Bible and living holy and righteously according to the Bible. You have to endure until the end, carry your cross daily and build your relationship with God by following Lord Jesus daily until the end. You must never renounce your faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, there’s hell awaiting those who reject/deny Lord Jesus Christ and those who continue living sinfully, even the Christians who don’t want to repent will face the same fate, so please repent beloved people, in Lord Jesus Christ’s mighty and precious Name, Amen.

What a great and incredible story. It explains why, and I never put it together until I saw this video, but I saved a couple of sparrows from an eye infection. After their recovery, because I was usually in my backyard, sparrows would sometimes perch on my shoulders. I thought it was the craziest thing. After watching this, I bet they're the ones I saved and along the process befriended me. Thanks for sharing.

This video particularly touched me because I experienced the same thing.
I picked up a very young budgerigar that had been abandoned by its mother, I took care of it, I fed it every two or three hours even in the middle of the night.
He had become my best friend, he played with a bell that I had given him!
Even in the middle of the night you heard him playing with his bell, he followed me everywhere I went, when I went to lie down on the sofa he came to sleep against me, and as soon as I had the misfortune of moving he was pissed off. xD
He loved caresses, he was taught to fly...
His appearance in life was one of the most beautiful things that I could live !
Now I remember that day when my father came into the living room with his dead body in his hands.
I burst into tears, part of my world had just shattered in a second...
I thought for a long time that it was my fault and I still think a little today...
If I had gone to see him and caress him like I always did, would that have allowed me to still have him in my life today?
    ...
I'm crying while writing this comment, it's so painful to have a being taken away from you that you were holding in all of a sudden..
Today I'm going to see his grave and I talk to him... Yeah it might be a little weird x)
I tell him that as I promised I haven't forgotten him and that I hope he is happy ...
Today I kept her bell and she is a lucky charm for me!
