To Mr. Sammy: Thank you Mr. Sammy for taking in little Flit. Not only do you have kindness that’s benevolent for nature and others, you’ve also proven your diligence and intel for making sure that Flit can survive on her own. I’m sure she’ll always remember you and maybe will visit you again one day. She was so lucky to have been found by you during a very difficult time in her life. She’ll maybe also tell other birds about you; who knows?
I am sure she will return. Many years ago female hummingbird made a nest in tree in my front yard. She produced eggs that eventually hatched and she fed them until they were eventually able to fly. One day they were gone. They migrate south and she was gone for some time. Then one day she was back to the same tree and all things repeated again. This went on for several years since they tend to return to their "home". My dog was fascinated and would just stare without barking. The hummingbird would come down and hover near the dog's face from time to time. Amazing.

It's often the very best part of being a human being, our connection and desire to help the other animals on this planet. I never get tired of seeing this, gives me hope.
My wife and I started putting out Hummingbird feeders several years ago, and I think the same group of hummers (my wife calls them squeakers) come back every season. We can almost mark the date on a calendar, but usually the last week of April. They often announce their arrival by hovering close to us while we're out in the yard and squeaking. When our Hummingbird group leaves in early to mid-September for the southern migration, we keep the feeder up and supplied until early to mid October for any southbound Hummingbirds needing a quick refuel for their journey.
They probably are the same birds if they come up to you and squeak! 🥰 I can personally attest to the fact that they get to know you and come up to say hi or let you know the feeder is empty. 😆
Thank you to this intelligent, kind and loving man for saving this beautiful hummingbird's life by nurturing her back to health!!!!! God Bless him!!!!💚💚💚
I've had the blessing of caring for a baby hummingbird myself and it's rewarding. Once she (Emerald) was older and learned how to fly I let her go but she did come back a couple times to say hello. Thank you for caring for this baby. 💙💚
This made me grin from ear to ear, especially when she flew to the syringe😁 A popsicle stick for a perch, a syringe (with red paper around it) to mimic a flower, a higher branch to get used to, a shirt to cosy up in; what an amazing and truly thoughtful human being!!🤗 Flit is so lucky to have been rescued by you, and in turn, you are so lucky to have had the privilege of her company. Fantastic job Sammy!!🤯🥳🥰💙💚
This is absolutely amazing. Good for this guy to have genuine compassion for a creature in need and not doing it for something work-related. Another thing I like about the Dodo is that they show several different types of creatures (including but not limited to cats and dogs) who are in need and then helped by people.
I have a bunch of hummer feeders and its so therapeutic to watch them everyday. Simply buy feeders and sugar and boil 4 cups of water per 1 cup sugar to make the perfect nectar.
*Agreed! I would’ve shot the bird dead and stuffed it at the taxidermy 😅 only problem is that a little bird like that costs over $200, so I usually just throw them in the trash after I shoot them. They’re just not worth paying that much for, for their size.*
I keep going back to this video for inspiration. The gentleman shows true love and compassion for the hummingbird and also what being a great teacher is really all about.
This is incredible, it's so good to see people who care about animals enough to try and get them ready to go out to their natural habitat. The idea with the colourful flower-shaped paper around the syringe was brilliant!
Making that artificial flower to hide food in there shows how much care was put into the bird's recovery. True love and compassion.

What an incredible gentleman! Bless him for taking in this tiny creature and helping her so much. I hope she pops in to see him occasionally
No argument that this man is the luckiest on earth and the most gentle and nature lover as well…. We wants more of him in this world…
To Mr. Sammy:
Thank you Mr.
Amazing.
You're welcome, it was my pleasure
You stayed so focused on the goal of getting her strong enough to survive on her own. So selfless! God bless you.
Awww I’m so glad this incredible man rescued this beautiful hummingbird, she is an absolutely adorable hummingbird and deserves love and happiness🐶🐱🐻🦊🐯
It shows what you can achieve with a little love and kindness. We need more people like this in the world.
No. People need to be like him
You kind sir have a bigger heart to body ratio than the vast majority of human beings. I don't know if you have children but no matter, whomever is in your circle is indeed blessed.
I just love these videos of humans rehabilitating wild animals. It takes patience and creativity.
You had a smart, common sense approach to what this little one would need to know once on their own. Well done!! 😃🤗
It’s great the hummingbird was found by such a wonderful person. What he did to save it was commendable.
@Holl ywood Dude. Enough with clogging up the comments with the spam fr.
@@tavabrae7419 Keep reporting the SPAMMER as unwanted here.
This is all this child does. Trolls sites begging for likes.
When enough ppl report/flag, the kid will be kicked off...at least temporarily.
Others are complaining too. So if everyone reports each Trolling beg, it should get kicked off.
Thanks, I appreciate you saying that
It's often the very best part of being a human being, our connection and desire to help the other animals on this planet. I never get tired of seeing this, gives me hope.
This guy is a real man. A hero. It’s nice to see a little animal being helped. ❤️💜🇨🇦
I agree completely
He's so precious 🥰. What a wonderful, patient man.
That was magical. So delicate.
Human compassion is key for us to survive. I can’t thank him enough for caring for the sick and wounded lil guy. Thank you.
Yes Sammy is a wonderful special human. Especially loved the little branch up near the ceiling, made me cry.
This is absolutely amazing. Good for this guy to have genuine compassion for a creature in need and not doing it for something work-related. Another thing I like about the Dodo is that they show several different types of creatures (including but not limited to cats and dogs) who are in need and then helped by people.
This is the sweetest 💗 What a wonderful example of positive masculinity.
All masculinity is positive.
I have a bunch of hummer feeders and its so therapeutic to watch them everyday. Simply buy feeders and sugar and boil 4 cups of water per 1 cup sugar to make the perfect nectar.
The paper flower is the sweetest kindest thing I've seen in a LONG time. 👏👏👏
This gentle giant duct taping his living space to kit it out for his tiny friend lol.
Fabulous video, Dodo!!!
*Agreed! I would’ve shot the bird dead and stuffed it at the taxidermy 😅 only problem is that a little bird like that costs over $200, so I usually just throw them in the trash after I shoot them. They’re just not worth paying that much for, for their size.*
Thank you
For a man who didn't know ANYTHING about hummingbirds or how to care for them. He did one hell of a job!!!
That is such a beautiful and adorable little baby hummingbird
I keep going back to this video for inspiration. The gentleman shows true love and compassion for the hummingbird and also what being a great teacher is really all about.
This is incredible, it's so good to see people who care about animals enough to try and get them ready to go out to their natural habitat. The idea with the colourful flower-shaped paper around the syringe was brilliant!
I concur!
Probably read it in a book somewhere.
@@kevinh5349 and now he showed us all, so that knowledge survived and shared with at least 2.9m people :P
Amazing how this guy nursed this baby bird back to health. I'm sure the bird will never forget him. I believe birds are Angel's favorite animal.
This is so sweet, and shows that the human race are custodians of the planet, not it's owners.
Well said
Or at least we should be....
You are a truly nice man. Your heart is golden, and I hope that you are loved like you loved that little bird.
Thank you for saving and rehabbing this sweet hummingbird!
Is it ok to cry over this? I'm so moved at his kindness and her ability to trust him.
Aww, thanks
Such dedication to help this baby hummingbird. Such a gentle and kind man to nurse this hummingbird back to health. Kudos
So cute 🥰
God bless that guy that did the right thing ❤
If only everyone else were compassionate like you, the world would be a heaven. Indeed, today's man lacks compassion.
With all the bad news we have to endure these days, this story put a huge smile on me. Thank you Sammy!
I love that people help animals ❤
It is so hard to save a hummingbird. So precious!
Helping nature's creatures to survive and thrive is a gift for them, and the caretaker.
Beautiful Results! 🌲🌷🌼🌻
Amen! :)
I love this man and his commitment to this tiny creature. My heart is now full of warmth, thank you sir.
