Not so tragic, people in Slovenia are in majority nice toward sparrows, as well Im sure they feel to whom they can trust. Tragic for birds is modern human life style, random car is much more dangerous than random human shoulder.
@@Sly_Wolf_1 Yes, unfortunately, there are too many here in the U.S. where I fear Chibi's trust might get her into trouble or harm with a random human, out of fear and/or out of lack of compassion for animals.
@@Sly_Wolf_1 , what you said applies worldwide and, to be honest, Chibi needed to have people around her that encouraged her more to live on her own, as her doing that would be better for her character, you know, if Chibi did not have brain damage that happened when she was a baby, thus making it impossible for her to live on her own, anyway.
I love birds, basically all animals! Before having my dogs, I started caring for budgies & a hamster. Then after my tiny babies perished from old age, that's when I gradually transitioned to my small breed dogs. As much as I loved caring for my precious budgies & hamster, I didn't want to continue getting more afterwards because it's too heartbreaking when they die. Small birds & hamsters have a very short lifespan and my heart can't take the sorrow of losing them because their lifespan only averages 2-5 years. And most times, when they get sick, not much can be done to help them, even by a specialized vet. But when I see videos like Chibi, it melts my heart every time because it brings back so many fond memories & how much I truly miss & still love my babies. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This reminds me of my little Sparrow that I raised after it had fallen out of its nest. I only had a small cage, but it was also open the whole time. No bird should ever be deprived of the right to fly, same as any animal should have the birth right for freedom of movement. The world needs more people like these.
2:12 that was badass Now THIS is the way to have a pet bird. I never had a pet bird bc I didn't think it was right to keep a creature who could soar the skies in a cage
I had parakeets, in two cages and would leave the doors open. They will eat things they shouldn't. and may fly into a mirror or window, and hurt themselves. But they do have fun.
A few years ago, we rescued a baby northern red Cardinal bird. We did the same steps for him. Like Chibi, he refuses to leave despite him being totally free to do whatever he wants. If the outside weather is not good, he wants to be inside with us. Inside, his favorite place to be is on our Dwarf Ficus tree. Winter months, he's inside most of the time.
Same thing here, we rescued a small mynah from pump room (he crashed in there for some reason). He was no more than 2 weeks, when we tried to release him he refused to go. I thought he couldn't fly yet but just an hour later he was roaming on top his cage, he immediately flew right to my shoulder to join me on my chores, and yesterday he learnt to speak my name too :D

That mid air stop into a right turn with wings folded at about the 2:13 mark was incredible.
Sparrows don’t normally have so much maneuverability i think, shes like a contortionist sparrow by bird standards XD
You should see me in the morning when my energy levels are over 9000.
I'm doing loops around the furniture like it's nothing 🚀
@@CHIBItheSPARROW I just subscribed, I feed the birds mostly sparrows everyday!
Just keep cats away from her
She is absolutely gorgeous, well done for rescuing her, she looks so cute
I just watched your story on Dodo. Your sparrow is a beautiful, sweet bird! I'm so glad you found her when you were walking!
Wild and wonderful. She has more integrity than a lot of humans.
stop talking cliche man
Well said
Nature has no morals. Foolish comment.
Chibi is an amazing creature who has given joy to the world. May she have a very long life!
Most sparrows don't get older then 3 years, but they can reach the age of 13 or even 15!
I really hope this little bird will live that long! 🥰
@@rattus3102 Thanks for this fun fact. I never knew how long sparrows lived. Hopefully, Chibi will reach the 15 year-old maximum.
I like how the other people were cool with Chibi hanging out with them.
Sparrows are smart birds and remember people they get food from. Very beautiful birds.
IMRINNTING IS REAL. With many species, including humans. Your hearts and kindness will continue to be positive for the world. Much gratitude from Denver, Colorado, USA ❤️🌈😊
This is wonderful.... The only tragic part is that chibi trusts all humans and not just her rescuers.
Not so tragic, people in Slovenia are in majority nice toward sparrows, as well Im sure they feel to whom they can trust. Tragic for birds is modern human life style, random car is much more dangerous than random human shoulder.
@@drunaisis9797 thank you for your reply, i was basing my opinion on the uk, it's nice to hear that Slovenia is more favourable.
That would be scary only in America, Solvenians aint cruel to wild bird.
Chibi is such a sweet girl. She loves her parents. I am so happy that there are still good people like you!
Her beautiful chirping music is for the ears. So an angel I love saving birds. Be careful no cat is around.
hello how are you doing today?
Reminds me of the baby sparrow I named Cheep-Cheep I rescued years ago 😢🥰. He was so sweet and very smart.
What happened to em? Released or died
@@DaFireman33 He flourished for a good while. Can’t remember how long he lived though. This was back in the early 80’s.
Cheepo sounds like one lucky sparrow 💕
My mother rescued a sparrow when I was 6 years old, and he lived freely in our house, and stayed with us for 7 years. I say "he" but we never actually knew if it was male or female, but we gave it a male name. After some time had passed we started to leave windows open in case he wanted to fly away, but he never did, until 7 years later. He lived happily with our 2 dogs and a mynah bird. Seeing this brought back so many memories. This was over 50 years ago.
This couple have a heart of pure Gold rescues that bird the way that they did ! God will bless them for that and reward them !
JUST goes to prove. this world is full of beautiful and wonderful people. Thank you and God bless.
This reminds me of my little Sparrow that I raised after it had fallen out of its nest. I only had a small cage, but it was also open the whole time. No bird should ever be deprived of the right to fly, same as any animal should have the birth right for freedom of movement. The world needs more people like these.
Thank you 🤎
Nice
@Mortanos, beautifully said, and you are 100% correct. By the way, I hope you do not mind my saying, but it should be "this reminds me".
@@newmankidman5763 Yeah You're right. I do actually know better, but my mouldy mind increasingly likes to ignore my directions.
So sweet, she responda to Her name. Living her. BEST LIFE! Thanks for saving her!
hello how are you doing today?
Aww sweet, she's gorgeous, bless you for saving her, you both have done a good job, great video thanks 💖😁
This is fantastic, I’m glad there are people like these two in the world. What they have done is amazing. The bird is a star. 😁
2:12 that was badass
Now THIS is the way to have a pet bird. I never had a pet bird bc I didn't think it was right to keep a creature who could soar the skies in a cage
Hey Jamaican cat lady is here
Looks cool but I would prefer having fans in the house,
Tokyo drift
Me too! It just seems so wrong to cage a creature that was born to fly. I'm so happy they don't cage this sparrow. Wonderful people.
I had parakeets, in two cages and would leave the doors open. They will eat things they shouldn't. and may fly into a mirror or window, and hurt themselves. But they do have fun.
The indoor flying is so cool, she really is like a little helicopter lol
My toy-drone couldn't do this :-)
This video made me smile 🤩
i'd be terrified to take her outside lest she gets snatched up by another bird
Hummingbird.
#DartsGhost
Hermosa historia!! eso nos muestra que los animales son criaturas maravillosas y que es nuestro deber como seres humanos cuidar de ellos.
Thank you for saving the sparrow's life; she is a great friend.
That is not a sparrow
LOVE~!!!
Having such bond with a special animal = happy, happy, joy, joy. This story made my day, ThanQ.
This is so precious! Thank you both for your kindness!
hello how are you doing today?
@@williambenard654 very well thank you.
@@elizabethballesteros8910 good to hear that
so where are you from?
Same thing here, we rescued a small mynah from pump room (he crashed in there for some reason). He was no more than 2 weeks, when we tried to release him he refused to go. I thought he couldn't fly yet but just an hour later he was roaming on top his cage, he immediately flew right to my shoulder to join me on my chores, and yesterday he learnt to speak my name too :D
Awe, that's so sweet! Lucky you! 💖
You have given him any name? In case if he's talkative name him as Chatter-Patter ji 🤠

He is heavy enough to walk on the keyboard so now I'll let him speak!

Beautiful story, and a beautiful couple, for being kind .
When I was young there were a lot of sparrows around where I grew up, no more; it's rare to see one nowaydays. I just realized I miss dearly those little fellas.
They used to build nests in old houses that always had gaps and niches. Now there are no gaps.
@@mikshinee87 There are a lot of trees just in front of my house, I used to watch them there. Now just an ocasional very urban dove.
@@MalakianM2S Yeah. There are many factors, for instance spraying insecticides (so not enough food) or trimming bushes (sparrows used to hide there and rest). They simply cannot win.
@@mikshinee87 I live in a small town outside Madrid, basically a suburb. Twenty years ago it was the "limit", just open fields behind my house. Those fields today are more buildings, a lot more traffic, still there are a lot of green areas in my neighborhood but I guess it's not enough.
@@MalakianM2S It is tragic and people feel the world is their's alone with no consciousness or very little about family planning.
Raised a sparrow as well so I know how darling they can be. The sweetest most affectionate little babies. The more they feel bonded to you the more they will be the sweetest little things as long as they can.
incredible, beautiful. watching from Philippines.
sweet little tweet this sparrow is blessed to have such a great family
Heartwarming. Thank you. To be accepted by an animal from the natural world is a gift like no other.

Luckily they don't live in the USA, some right wing nut job would probably shoot it out the sky
Chibi means small, tiny, children, and so on in Japanese 🙂
I am so glad to watch beautiful and cute story between the nice couple and lovely sparrow. Thanks 😊
Absolutely beautiful. A different life for the bird but she probably wouldn’t survive out there. It’s great that the bird can go for walks and mix with other birds, beautiful work. You 2 people are wonderful human beings. 💫
Nature is great, I love it. But who in their right mind would willingly put themselves at risk every single day, instead of live the good life with humans 😍

Chibi is such a cute name for such a cute bird! 🥰

hello how are you doing today?
This is in Koper, Slovenia. I spent a few weeks there and recognised it immediately, it's such an iconic town. There's no hawks near the coast as far as I remember, but there was plenty of cats, crows, seagulls, swans and herons (one of which tried to dive bomb me with it's white "bombs") that might pose a threat to a sparrow.
Thank you I was trying to know where
Thank you so much. My guess would have been somewhere in Croatia, so it’s not too far.
Hi, Mike. :) You are correct. If you ever decide to visit Koper again, you are welcome to meet Chibi in person. 😄

I also found a baby sparrow, called "Pixel" and he was sooo tiny and not sure he would make it, bcs everybody said he wouldn't ,he was too weak. Well, don't believe what others say, Pixel grew up, very strong and one day he flied away. Hope he is fine, flying free with a sparrow gf.🤎
