enjoyed the vid,, i think all the breeders should come together and develope an organization, like fishing clubs do or bowling leagues, share genetics, ideas , secrets, help each other like your own blood,,then educate and encourage the home grower how to not only grow but breed, come on lets face it guys, it is super easy to make seeds,, any simple grow from seeds can breed, simply remove the male right before opening up and put in a closet on the other side of the house with just a corkscrew light and itl give alot of pollen, just dont let pollen to long n cut it down, little pollen is purrfect 2much n its a nightmare. then they can grow out their own seeds and find the next purple kush sour d or og, then they can submit samples to the pot league the breeders can smoke it and offer $ola for a cut , if more home growers did this think of how fast our genepool woul diverse, just as small fishing clubs n bowling leagues n so forth THRIVE, if you guys pulled together, cuz itll take you guys teaching how to do this and creating a leagueish if you will to have a club an individual homegrower can join and be apart of that would pay him for his elite cut, well my friend the home grower looks up to you breeders so it will take yall to create an environment for this to come together,,
homegrowers, take a few seeds, photos not fem or autos, im sick of seeing so many autos this diminishes our farming skills can we all agree to not grow autos anymore i mean think about it u cant clone or make a mother and there very pheno you are trying to grow was found because someone took a chance on growing a random or purchased seed so are you so low on weed you cant spare a square foot for a male plant to pollinate a few lower nugs, take the males pollen and dab on a few lower nugs with a q tip 5 weeks before harvest n so u know a couple swipes each on just a few nugs can yield 50 2 100 very mature seeds and really wont affect ur yield or potency or flavor, do every different plant in ur garden for this, if u plan u can pick up some clones from the dispensery to add a wider selection for a seed bank
if this were to be, the home grower could actually have their own cannabis cup so to say orchestrated by the league , our genepool as fine as it is , is very lacking , the reason so many fine cuts come from the highly prohibited states is because seeds and definitely clones were just near impossible to get, so people grew bag seed, and every californian snubs there nose and grow clones thus doing next to nothing to help find the next og kush.
growing from clones is ok but please grow from seed n breed also, then you can name her whatever you want, peace out guys luv the vids n format, much love

I don't know about others, but I grew up in northern California and when I was in high school the skunk weed came out. And I was in heaven. Now, everything has been crossed and the skunk is gone. Skunk #1 doesn't get it because this was roadkill skunk. The kind where you walk into class with a little bud in a zip lock inside your backpack and your buddy turns too you before you even sit down and says "You better fire up". And I get that people now days want variety, but I would give a limb for a fat sack of original kind.

The prroblem with his explanation is the Punnet square he makes is for 2
chromosomes only. Cannabis has 10 chromosomes which would make it
impossible to use a Punnet square for all the chromosomes unless you
had a very good computer. You would also need to grow thousands of
plants and analyze all of them.
You would also need a Microwave digestion unit, a fiber analyzer
and a High Performance Liquid Chromatography as well as a UV-Vis
Spectrometer. You probably would also want a Gas plasma system and an
advanced rotational rheometer . Once you have these machines it would
be a good idea to buy a Microfluidizer and a Rapid Visco Analyser .
Here is a list of some other tools you will need. Microplate Reader,
    RNA/DNA Workstation,
So you may be able to stabilize two traits of said plant but you are
missing the other 8 chromosomes. Anyone who say they can create their
own strain homozygous of all chromosomes is full of crap. It would be
near impossible to create a homozygous plant in which all 10 chromosomes
are the exact same as their parents. You may stabilize the Height,
color and the flowering time but no way ever will you create a strain in
which all 10 chromosomes from both parents are homozygous. That may
take a lifetime of breeding if it could even be done in a lifetime.
Land race strains took hundreds if not thousands of years to create.
Good luck trying to replicate that in a lifetime.
Clearly anyone trying to create a true Homozygous plant in which all
chromosomes are Homozygous has an enormous task on hand and I highly
doubt it is even possible with out that plant being genetically
modified. This is why there is only on Granny smith apple one
Macintosh apple and one Cavendish bannana strain. All these fruits we
eat are from one clone. No one can create an apple tree that produces
the exact same apple. Same thing with weed the best strains are clones
from one Pheno that gets passed around. You will never be able to
create a true homozygous cannabis plant for all the chromosomes
IMPOSSIBLE soryy to break the bad news to you all.

No kidding, people look down their noses at bagseed pot and bagseed growers, but let's be honest - it ALL comes from bagseed originally.
Of course we've also had forty years of people either working hard or sometimes just getting lucky and selecting and crossing stuff from bagseed, and that's incredible! But it all goes back to just a handful of landraces, really.

@Blood Eagle 88 absolutely right! What we're all smoking now can be traced back to several Afghanis, Thais, Mexican and Columbians, etc. For hundreds of years before the 1970s people all over the planet did very well with those old strains.

    • @dystopiagear6999
      @dystopiagear6999 4 года назад

Look at how many modern strains have heavy Northern Lights in them... and that's nothing but carefully selected and crossed Afghani and Skunk, really. (and Skunk is just another cross of Central/South American/Thai and Afghani) The genetics for all this stuff have been around for a *lonnnnng* time.

    • @dystopiagear6999
      @dystopiagear6999 4 года назад

@Mark Suckaturd Yeah it's getting harder & harder to find the "purer" strains. Even folks who've gone to places like Jamaica and South America looking for them are finding mostly modern hybrids from seeds shipped in from the Netherlands and US. It's a shame because I imagine it would be a ton of work to try to select and breed those out to get back closer to the originals.

searched seedfinder.eu for headband and look what they have)
    Loud Seeds' Headband Description
Logo Loud Seeds Loud Seeds Headband Arguably one of the top strains of our generation and the winner of the 2013 San Francisco High Times Medical Cup Hybrid category. Loud Seeds family acquired the Headband several years ago and our cut never left the family. Many companies have a Headband that is made from a Sour Diesel crossed with a reversed OG Kush. The original clone only East Coast Headband is Chem 91 x Mass Super Skunk x Sensi Seed Northern Lights. The clone only Headband was actually one of the easier strains to self and is extremely stable.

Talk crap about Florida strains?..... California is all hype, it's where strains go to get watered down and commercially produced for the masses.

What are you guys speak it's kind of strange because you're in a bubble and everything is not exactly like that some places are years behind others. Also you're going to get peoples own tastes wants and pallets? When I say that I mean companies brands don't control peoples pallets. Maybe idiots that just got in the game .but is that who your marketing to? All I know is I live in Arizona in Tucson and there's no real good organic medicine for a good price so I drove all the way to Phoenix a couple days ago to go to Trumed a dispensary known for organic quality meds. when they had a good sale I invested in a longer supply because I'm thinking ahead some people do you do that. the line was out the door and around the corner all day... all the craft is gone? Should've kept it medical... legalization is bullshit. Washington screwed the real patients😑

@Real Donald Trump Your handle is fitted for the arrogance you just spewed forth lol... Az is a nomadic place. Chicagoans like myself only knew small scale dank or mexi... Yet growing up i was fortunate enough to meet true mj growers and let me tell you Mr. Trump shit was 🔥 Homegrown outdoor and hydro but... It was distributed in small circles... Dispensary herb is convenient but definitely not where a true head looks 👀 to get QUALITY.
      P.s. Go Fuck Yourself

And then I hear breeders talk about mutation, adaptations, expression etc. Grow some real sk1 it's pretty fuckin uniform but in no way perfect.
