Jodrey is at once intriguing, quickly prompting a cerebral and imaginative experience. Energetic and focussed, Jodrey will leave the user curious and inspired. Initial impressions linger in the nose and provide a unique and refreshing high. 10/10
i literally learned more from him in this video than i have learned in the last few years in any other cannabis and breeding book or video. this guy is a real legend in the industry and probably the most intelligent grower ive ever had the pleasure of learning from. thank you for posting all these videos with Kevin Jodrey because this knowledge is needed in the industry. i also love the brownguy420 and Solo farms videos.
Matanuska high- hey , i know you, kinda Do you make concentrate? If so, have you used 'wax liquifier ' to make your own pens? Rosin press, seems to be safest way to go for concentrate & you can add terps if needed! I swear ,I've been buying some very tastey rag weed concentrates!
Thank you @Kevinjodrey !!! As a very small craft grower/chucker in a new medical state, I'm really hoping to get and excel in the industry. Keep dropping knowledge bombs brother!!!!!!
Hes the first person whos solidified my theory of how terps were bred out to hide indoor grows in the 80s and 90s. Ive always knew that. Hearing him say that and now I know it wasn't just a theory it was real.
matanuska high. Seriously! Me and my partners always wondered what happened to that old school skunk smell, and our only conclusion was the same as yours
matanuska high seems like a lot are being brought back though bro.....ive grown some shit that you can smell before I get to your house.......i actually choose strains on yield, quality, and grow ability meaning not finicky......and i try to do strains that aren't local to my area either.......southern oregon baby stay lit and props to BG420
my OG chemD line i been working is that type of straight loud skunky gassy funk..it almost got me busted on numerous occasions before it went legal here. in summer when people were out walking dogs and things on my road they would call the cops for the smell. but Ravin vs. state of Alaska protected growing in our home since 1974 so even with smell it wasnt enough for a warrant..
matanuska high word brotha!!!!! Yeah I'm a medical grower in my 14th season an I'm still learning....if you are looking for a stinkless plant still try straight white widow or one we have here called double black......basically no smell til after it's dried.....the widow stinks only a little bit only at the last two weeks of it's bud....... kudos to grow in Alaska I hope to visit one day an do some hunting an fishing before I die, we'll have to hook up for a session if I do bro stay lit up there
i like stinky plants...lmao i get mad when i grow a dank looking plant and it doesnt stink up my neighborhood. terps make the high better. been growing here for over a decade but im originally from Oregon but up north in Sandy near Mt. Hood.
God knows what is mixed into those cartridges so home growing is best for me. Just a few plants last all year. The pens are only useful at concerts or outdoor events where the smell needs to be controlled.
He gave me the only drying and curing advice that made sense, so I tried it. I live in very high humidity so it has always been a challenge. I’m very happy with all the flavors and clean burning now…perfect.
An intelligent, erudite grower/teacher. We need more people like you. I'd love to have a coffee and a bowl with you, but I'm not allowed in your country, I'll just watch your vids. A big up from the UK.
Thanks for this video @CannabisPortal . Mr.Jodrey is MORE than a wealth of knowledge his piece in the symposium I'm sure was a highlight for the listeners...
Love your work Professor. I'm 37 and I'm tried and true skunk number one as my number one favorite and it will always love my flower you can keep the concentrates and bake Edibles with them keep your fingers sticky and roll Fatty's
Yo Kevin... Those 1980s imports you were talking about... I got original seeds that grew 14 footers here in BC! Big assed Mexicans! Grew a male from the same seed stock and pollinated a branch on the biggest of the herd. Very nice tasting Sativa, nice clean high, and no paraquat LOL!!!
There's still some of the old 70's and early 80's Mexican around down here in sunny Fl. It's perfect for long flower strains here. I love the energetic, clear minded feeling some of those old schools give!
@@dangertreez I wish I could find a few pure Oaxacan in there as well and I would be happy to share. It's so homogenized these days my guess would be it's all from cuttings. My old line seeds are all mixed up and I've gifted them until they are few. I call them the "Missing Link* . They're all huge, some will herm, some flower 20 weeks or more. If you do get lucky to find one of those great phenos like the Christmas tree, there's never a suitable male for breeding.
Growing before charcoal filters, he’s a legend, just based on that. The risks he took was mental. So glad he’s alive to see it legalised and exalted for the amazing plant it is
I’m not American but I know the judicial system 👨⚖️ is disproportionate and barbaric in regards to sentences and their stance against this healing plant in the past. So to risk your freedom without the proper equipment to disguise your operation is brave to say the least. To top it off, he helped to breed out the most pungent strains because of the lack of sophistic technology which is mental. This makes a him a legend in my eyes
I started growing again because the stuff you get from a delivery service sucks. The growers don’t flush , the buds are too tight, there’s no outdoor, it all smells the same and there aren’t any amber trichomes because they’re just spitting the crap out.
About 90-95% of the people in my area need to listen to this guy. So much ignorance in the buyer and grower market in my town. Now I just want to move out west near whatever dispensaries sell his product.
Great points you made here , 2nd time ive seen you and i enjoy listening to ya man .i spent a very long time growing indoor not as long as kevin but back when downy sheets ,gasoline or even dead skunks were all we had to work with as odor control lol. And ozone cooked a few ppl i knew when it first came out. Our only H.T.cover just so happend to be org skunk too (skunk #1) now ! 2.4 lbs a light . Flood and drain tables .94' oct i think ...london ont can..Stunk 2 city blocks up ....thanks again man ,ill be looking for more of your work . Keep on keepin it real !!
Old comment but saw the odor control part and laughed. I used shrimp shells going rotten, and also Asian dried shrimp to hide the weed smell. I only have a very small grow but it was loud!
Hey , Kevin hows things going ? I've been growing since 80s wow I miss the 80s.. :) .... Now I grow outside Now in N. Calif. I used to live in Valley . I'm looking for names of urb closest to that skunky danky weeds can you steer me to some ...Thanks Man ..Either seeds or clone I will drive to you !
@kevinjodrey I love dropping off packs at different homies houses in different cities and come back in 24 hours to see the reactions! That’s what tells me what moves and how fast
I just took some seed that I had and made a few inbreeds and crosses, hoping to see if anything pops up. If I find anything Im going to get into hands such as Kevins. Respect.
Growing in the 80's was very different than today. Seeds were seeds, no fancy names other than sativa and indica. No lights other than the Sun, so only one grow a year where I lived. Cloning would have been pointless even if we would have known about it. Feminised seeds were not a thing so males plants had to be removed. But we did grow some nice smoke down under.
Maybe local varieties were grown because they worked for the locals, and maybe they just grew whatever they had access to. I bet people have traded seeds for 1000s of years for the purpose of getting something different just like we do now.
do you find 90% dry weed gums up and flavors better ? maybe that's old skool hash bud resin that's your terp flavor test ! LOL damn hate that when roach sticks to your thumb /finger when your done . brown finger goo ! LOL
vape pens...hmmm 50% of the market makes sense, i'm old school guy that loves the THC distillate in pens.....perfect!! Excellent knowledge from a smart fkn guy eh🤔👍✌❤❤😎
He remembers a case from 83' I'm born in 83' lol and he is not wrong they bred out the terpenes specifically the plant esters which contributed to the highly permeating qualities Cannabis once had. That's a sound theory.
1HeavyHitr the zoning changed to exclude cannabis growing operations in that location . I had to shut down the nursery and I transferred the license into a manufacturing facility. My new nursery is located about 10 minutes south of the old one and it’s been running for a few years now. It’s right next to my dispensary, the one log house.

Yup every video
El Duderino this guy giving away GEMS!!!!
Lol I probably already gave him money... In fact I bet I helped put his kids through college
He is giving back with invaluable knowledge. Soak it up.
I'll listen to every word from Kevin, every time
Took a chance to watch this. One of the best speeches regarding this topic I've ever seen. incredible info

Well spoken and knowledgeable. Excellent info
man would love to sit down and smoke with this dude and gain some knowledge
Joe K basically what happened after the video ended no? Lol
this guys depth of knowledge is unreal, if I could have anyones brain in the cannabis world, it would be Kevin's
The flower will never die. I don't touch those pens and I have friend that feel the same way. Rock on brother. Ct is in the house
The vape cartridges are gross, but high end wax is very popular, and works better for some people. I feel ya tho, I love flowers
God knows what is mixed into those cartridges so home growing is best for me. Just a few plants last all year. The pens are only useful at concerts or outdoor events where the smell needs to be controlled.
Talk about a guru.. this guy is the real deal.
I just came across Kevin the other day and love this guy. Really smart, good dude

I know it’s been a year but what’s the advice? Is it in this video or another? I’ve been having trouble with drying
You will still have a great customer base. It's like fine wine when crafted right. Love your wisdom. You remind of a surfer from Cali I know.
One of the best videos I've ever watched
love hearing Kevin, he has so many toughtfull ideas and experience

"I can't get high with you, I'll cripple you" Ha lol Challenge accepted Kev'. Choose the place.
I would pay to see that lol,
It's not a contest. 5 hits is good for me.

That was fantastic, great presentation and info. Much appreciated, thank you Sir.

Come to Pa., we need you here.
I love growing cannabis learning new stuff every day ! Great video thanks great info also

What I would give to have a journeyman apprenticeship under Kevin.
Love everything you said and I love the old school skunks too. Let me know if you need a tester.
Put aside any talk of cannabis ... this guy is a brilliant business/marketing speaker.
If anyone had ever wondered what experience and articulation looked liked, check out this video.

This guy is the truth. Fucking amazing knowledge of cannabis in all aspects.
Great video. Good speaker. Fantastic perspective, thankful for the insight.
The simplicity of assisted natural selection.
He mentioned teroir just like Frenchy Cannoli speaks of. The whole outdoor environment and more. Like the wine growers do .

I have Narcolepsy without cataplexy. I would love to smoke something called The Narcoleptic. That was a thing back in the 70 and 80’s? Awesome.
That OG bubblegum, sad to say nothing like it in over twenty years now wtf
In the EU, we are much less fussy than the People from the States.
PM resistant genetics ftw
below 18% thc all strains are fairly pm resistant. above 18% none are. if you breed one you are the man.
Stanford Research Institute, sorry i cant site the research but as i understood it higher sugar content translates to greater resin production.
I think how aggressive pm is depends more on how much nitrogen the plant is getting.reduce the nitrogen until the plant almost dies and spray with hydrogen peroxide for a week .feed her then hit that shit with actinovate or milk or some thing to change the ph of the leaf or have a dif fungus growing on the leaves.
Most African genetics are extremely pm resistant and I mean extremely.you can blow pm on them shits and they don't catch it and I can def assure you that most African strains hit well over 20%thc.
