      This is bullshit. Very expenssive and labor-intensive bullshit. People do need biochar, own piss and compost juice/dung! Mix then add with 1 to 10 with the soil. Now enjoy the yield! Work in 100%!
      And dirt cheap solution! Repeatable result! Everything can be turned in to the biochar?! Plus increase CO2 in the atmosphere is doing all good!!! We need more!

    This Guy packs about 100 hours of "regular" grow videos into 100 minutes. I am watching this for the second time now, to take notes of all the things he mentions.
    For instance, I didn't know that Trace Elements are required to activate enzymes. I also didn't know that haemoglobin and chlorophyll are the same molecule with its center atom switched from Iron to Magnesium. And sure as hell nobody knows that a the Calcium channels are activated by amino acids, and that this effectively STOPS Powdery Mildew from spreading because pectin has a too low water content.
    And what I like most is that he is not a hypocrite. There is no "good and bad" between mineral and organic fertilizer, and he is LIVING this paradigm to its fullest. Yeah, use whatever fertilizer you want. Just know WHY, HOW MUCH, and WHEN to apply it properly.
    For everybody interested in a follow-up: Watch Bruce Bugbee's "Maximizing Cannabis Yields" video as a follow-up, where light composition and temperatures are discussed more in-depth. Also, the light fixture efficacy is more up-to-date than this video (as of 2020, double ended bulbs are at ~ 2.1 µmol/J, and LEDs are between 2.0 and 2.7).

    if you get your plants that close to a metal halide they will burn, unless you take a piece of plexiglass and hang it under the light between it and the plants. this will protect from the heat of the bulb and allow you to, place it closer giving more lumens and par to your plants. it helps to have a fan blowing towards the light, to help pull the heat thats builds up between the plexiglass and the light !.

    I got lost @ 1:03:40..... how do i get ammonium form at beginning??? Through phosphorus? I see on the bottle nitrogen is in the nitrate form already. But dont see ammonium on any of em. Please help

    • @lanekrischke2225
      @lanekrischke2225 5 лет назад

      ammonium is a nitrogen based compound so most likely from the ammonium nitrate blend he talks about in the beginning. The ammonium breaks down further into amino acids and lowers the overall pH.

      @cannalingus I get ur point but he’s referring to the fact the fluctuations at the point of noticing any pm will only help the spores multiply. Yes in nature it does rain but it can be survived by outdoor winds and other environmental factors. Hope this helps 👊🏽🍁

    I have a question about ultra violet light. I was thinking about experimenting with them in addition to the LED I use during veg and flowering. Will they hurt the plants like how you were mentioning about UV lights causing iron an deficient in the water. Can it strip away the iron from the plants or do any harm in general?

    • @pedclarkemobile
      @pedclarkemobile 4 года назад +2

      Too much UV will bleach the leaves and degrade the chlorophyll. Unlike red and blue that gives energy via photosynthesis the UV induces a stress response- the plant makes more trichomes to protect its seedless ovule or developing seeds. High altitude cannabis is often less dense (less ambient CO2 at altitude) than indoor but has high cannabinoid to dry mass ratio, the increased UV at altitude stimulates trichome development.
      A reptile lamp is a good way to experiment without too much outlay. If you run clones you could expose half to UV and half without (control group) and compare.

    • @MoonMe00
      @MoonMe00 4 года назад

      So yes to the UVA light or no? I’m thinking of buying the HLG UVA 30 bar to add to the flowering stage. 🤔

    • @pedclarkemobile
      @pedclarkemobile 4 года назад +1

      @@MoonMe00 plants grow happily without UV. Its is very rare for indoor grows of any scale to have supplementary UV. If you have your environment optimised and already get high quality and high yield then experimenting with UV is a great way to further improve the cannabinoid to plant material ratio of the harvested flower. The UV (theoretically) will stimulate trichome growth as a stress response. The trichomes diffuse the harmful UV rays away from the flowers where seeds would be developing (if allowed to pollinate).
      It would be best to run (at least) two clones from the same mother, feed them the same diet and maintain identical environmental conditions and expose some to UV and keep a control plant (or group) for comparison of trichome production, yield and any noteworthy differences between the UV supplemented and non supplemented control plant(s).
      If you are able to document any of yr findings I would be very interested follow the experiment.
      (Always take precautions to protect skin, eyes and pets from exposure to UV lights).
