I think the home growers will be still doing their own thing, they do it because they love it ❤️🌱 Organic is what people want, not all this genetically modified stuff ! I’m against improving genetics by throwing fish genes or cow genes into the mix, it’s wrong and will see major issues for continual re/production of genes
100% agree. Home grow and making your own genetics is maybe best. You don’t get to pop 100 beans and see the genetics but you’ll get lucky and get some good ones… great ones. And you pick best with best. legit grows and stuff the bud is dry and not even fresh. I rather have whatever’s ever new I can grow the new strain crossed. I don’t want the GMO that’s dialed in. I rather make my own GMO….. My version. Lol very naive to say this guy
Every big breeder always thinks the small guy wont make it lol. Newsflash anybody can come in at anytime and be the new king. It only takes a one hit wonder or two that goes trendy. That's exactly what they are scared of.
Europe is fascinated with USA strains right now because they've forgotten their heritage Does anyone remember when cannabis tasted like cannabis not a sweetie jar? SK#1, Northern Lights, NL#5 Haze, Jack Herer all still stand against any of these modern strains We should all fall to our knees in thanks & praises to Neville Schoenmakers R.I.P
bruh. Skunk #1 is gone. All the road kill is gone. The last time I was able to find any was Heavy Duty Fruity by T.H. Seeds. Have run all the skunks from Mr Nice, Sensi Seed, etc and can't find a road kill. The Dutch bred all the flavours out of the berry, bubblegum, skunk, haze strains trying to beat smell and keep people safe. Hindsight is 20/20.
@@funnyfarm902 All that say is true Gerry but i stand by my statement They may not be the originals or what we remember them to be but get the right pheno of any of those old school strains and you'll still impress your freinds!

Germany did go from 80% maroc hash to 80% bad weed In the late 90s and early 2ks the only thing you could really get in northern Germany was that brown Maroc - cut with henna or whatever - sometimes a little more plyable sometimes with the softness and flakyness of a chipboard. Def. those come in from Hamburg oversees. Only sometimes your dealer got a little weed and it was gone in like 3 days. That's shifted today. Mostly you now get horrible weed: sometimes still pressed so hard and so void of any odor I suspect it is sundried weed from the equator coming in over the ports but mostly it's badly dried totally uncured indoor produced critical or other short flowering strains. But Haze is still pretty big - it's 20-30% more expensive and not really of better quality - but hey it's easier on the lungs and has that sativa zing. Of cause things are totally different if you live in Berlin or Hamburg and have good connections. The pharmacies (for now legal medical use) have massive shortages and only seem to get the weed from Canada that is unsellable over there. And still each year more people (+8% 2018) get presecuted for cannabis posession in Germany despite the picture of decriminalizing the user and only going for the dealer propaganda. But here in the north it's pretty chilled. Most crass convitions come from bavaria where they still storm homes for the reported smell and open a case for 0.8 g. Each year more parties openly state to decrim small posession completely but when it comes to voting for it they mostly backpedal "to honor the coalition" with the other party that is strictly against. European seedbanks are on a wild "who gets the new american hype strain first" run - what is a good thing for the homegrower I suppose. What is missing bit are new european hype strains - of cause you guys over there in the green states have massive advantage on the side of merch - showing real numbers and beautiful pics for legally avail product - and a much more competitive market that doesn't sell what un-dank. But hey we have seedfinderDoteu :D Peace
Between 29.30 and 29.50 Mr Loud says that "All hash tastes the same...", "Golfball" squidgy black (soft and pliable) does not taste at all like pressed pollen (which doubles is size when heated with a lighter). Temple ball doesn't taste like Morocco's hard "9 bars" either, otherwise he knows his shit. I've got my own strain of Haze (22-26 weeks flowering) that was bred in the UK and first smoked hash in 1985.
He said if you don't smoke hash often then you'll think it all tastes the same, he was trying to say that the more you smoke hash the more you'll be able to taste the subtle nuisances
@@TheCuddy1986 Yes, and definitely. We in the UK got spoiled in the 90's and were lucky to have available a very wide range. I miss those days and hope they return one day, without us having to look over our shoulders ;)
RIP all the great hash flavours. They are dead. Dutch breeders brought their strains to the landrace countries and ruined everything. Hopefully some old dudes in Nepal and Lebanon have land race variety that have been safe!!
You know the score Gary, Greenhouse so-called "Strain hunters" - more like "Strain killers". We in the UK had it good in the 90's, locally (the Midlands) we had exodus cheese around 92-94. Bud tested by the police had 46% Thc so it isn't just the hash that was good here, this can be seen in the pictures of my fb page "Derbyshire cannabis community".
I can also assure you that some landrace seeds are still available (at least for now) as the old guys know the score more than ourselves, we have the contacts. I've got quite a selection of souvenirs myself, saved for when it's legal to plant them of course ;)
So looking forward to germinating my GH Super Lemons and even trying HSOs Dedoverde Haze in new year. Gotta get Haze in your collection for sure. OG and kush rocks but I need the change.
The real money is going to be in CBD which everybody seems to be overlooking because everybody or I should say most people are trying to get high out of their mind which causes them to be unproductive and zombied out however marijuana which can be smoked like a cigarette constantly on a daily basis without getting you in trouble or altering your perception is going to be huge.

Edit: talking about the 20 year old hash.
well made temple balls preserve terps and even create by chemical reactions new ones. RIP Frenchy

Pollen chucking is actually a bad thing. We are loosing genetic diversity by homogenising everything

He is actually pronouncing the name correctly. Most people in the US say it incorrectly, I didn't realize this until a few years ago myself.
