  • This is the second part in the three part cannabis breeding speaker series I recorded for you at The Emerald Cup 2018. The link to part one is below. Mark always packs the house with people there for his unique perspective and insights. Mark's business partner Ryan Lee joined Mark from off-stage during the Q&A which totally didn't work for the camera but you can hear him just fine. The first panel is available here: • "Practical Breeding" P... You can subscribe for more videos, podcasts and giveaways here: www.ShapingFire.com

Mark (my former colleague) makes an excellent point about the limits of cannabis’ medicinal utility. He’s completely correct in the assertion that cannabis may not cure anything. The reality is that cannabis contains a host of compounds that may alleviate, reduce or eliminate symptoms of diseases, but not actually cure them. We have thousands of plant medicines that do precisely the same thing, and that does fact does not limit their usefulness. He’s also turning into a pretty great speaker. Guess that’s what happens when I’m not around. LOL. Shoutout to Ryan (Chimera) since his insights have informed all our work.

"May eliminate the symptoms" isnt what the modern synthetic pharmacy is about? I mean the lobby that made and keeps cannabis illegal while producing tons of pills that can actually kill people and ruin their lives and health.
Cannabis is safe tho so whos got the point lol?

Isn't making the traits regular over and over just another form of homogenization? Why not just simply Purple? I'm for the cultivar and what the cultivar can bring to the table year after year. As well, doesn't Purple grown in one place differ from another? Or whether it's outdoors or indoors? Trying to guarantee this, I don't know, and what about hermes? If the growing is in the hand of the person, he or she should get what education they need and learn to grow it and find what strain works for them. Power to the seed and the people 👴✌️️😊
