  • In Maclean, Virgina, the wealthy Hargan family lived, headed by retiring Pam Hargan. Pam was living with daughters Helen and Megan Hargan, and one day Helen did the unthinkable to her mother and herself. Or was it just made to look that way?

Hi Mike!! Boise girl here!! Just letting you know that nearly two years ago I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. I’m now in remission!!! I want to thank you because you were with me the entire journey … so far. This month is Pancreatic Cancer awareness month. By stats, I should be dead already. But I’m here and have about a 12% chance for 3 more years so you’re going with me on this! However, don’t be disappointed , I’m a fighter and plan to be here a while yet! Thank you for all of your hard work and it’s been so fun watching you and your videos evolve into this amazing personality with a comedic twist! I need that in my life!

Yeah. A 7-year-old is old enough to talk to the police about anything they saw or heard. Also, the police would have to find somewhere for the child to go - perhaps with her father, perhaps with the other aunt who was not a suspect in a double homicide.

She fully depended on her mom for money. Her mother was a constant supplier of the things she needed. Killing her for that house, ended her ability to continue using her mom for money. I 100% understand what it's like to be the "least favorite child". I'm the oldest sibling and my parents spoil my younger siblings and give them everything they ever wanted while I have to work for what I wanted. It's very frustrating working so hard while my spoiled sister "asks" for things and they give her what she wants. I understand the resentment, favoritism, and double standard. I don't know about your place but in my community, the child who is weak like physically or mentally not so strong or sharp( I am not talking here about disability though) automatically becomes parent's favourite as they are concerned he or she may not do well in life and pours in more love and support for that child. I believe it's in human nature even for parents to show favoritism on their kids but no way one should harm their parents. We should try to focus on our good qualities, work hard, love our parents and someday whether favourite or not, you will have their blessings to have a successful life. My uncle is a living example of this. Out of many siblings, my maternal grandpa never supported and showed much love to my uncle whom I am talking about here. When he first stared a small business of his own - a small grocery shop, my grandpa used to spit along the way of that shop showing his displeasure whatever his reason was. Later when he got too old and got paralysis attack, among all other siblings, all of them were away due to their work but this uncle was the one who took utmost care of him everyday. My grandpa was not rich so my uncle did not take care of him for money or land. Maybe during this time, my grandpa realised his mistake and I believe gave all his blessings to my uncle before he passed away. As of today, this uncle of mine is the most successful financially among all other siblings. He has the number one grocery shop in his place, everyone in the place respects him, he is like the chief of people. I always take inspiration from him on how to work hard and love your parents no matter what.

@@ChA0s_AgeNt you are right. When it comes down to it there is always a grey area in everything. I think there was fault in all 3 of these women. Pam should have not played favorites. Like I said it is a terrible thing to do. She could have bought all of her girls a house. (Buy them all a starter home or give them all the same amount for a down payment. Nothing is known about what Pam did for Ashley and we will never know. Megan lived with and off of her mother for a while or some time I don't know how he phrased it. So she was supporting her and her daughter. (Car, gas, insurance, cell phone, food in the house, and a place to live). Not just a place to live she is living in a million dollar home. But greed and envy. I think she thought she deserved more than she was getting and was going to try to get away with taking it. The fact that Helen would agree to taking a gift of that size from her mother is inconceivable to me. She is 1of 3 if Pam did for Helen she should have done evenly for all her girls. There is another problem both girls were unemployed at that point. There is no way that Helen had a job and then could move a 1000 miles away from it while her house was being built. (This happened Pre-Covid). So mom is paying for a house to be built for you and you aren't employed but you have better prospects for employment than your sister so here's a house. By that I mean that I was raised in a clean and safe environment, almost all my clothes and toys were second hand. But to us they were wonderful treasures. We were made to do chores go to church and Sunday school and when made really good grades at school we got to have Goodwin ice cream. Just found this:
On November 9, 2022, a judge overturned Megan Hargan's double murder conviction, citing juror misconduct. The ruling came after a juror tried to re-enact Helen Hargan's shooting using a rifle, and during deliberations told other jurors that the defense's theory of the case was not possible. In a statement, the prosecutor said his office plans to retry Megan Hargan. She remains in custody.

I was glad to see so many replies to your post. I just wanted to tell you that my best friend beat pancreatic cancer 6 years ago. It was a hard road and the treatments were sometimes quite difficult but, life is a rollercoaster ride. Sometimes it's a lot of fun then there are some scary parts. Living through the scary parts just makes you cherish the fun parts even more.
You're going to be fine dear❤️

After my ex & I split, my daughter & I moved in w/ my mom. My sister was away at college & now has a very successful career. My mom has helped both of us so much but in different ways. I have the kids & she has the big career. We are all very close & live w/in a mile of each other. I’m so proud of my sister. She spoils my kids (she doesn’t want kids) & we are so lucky to have each other & such a great support system. My mom is getting older & not feeling great & I’m here to take care of her. While every family has little issues, I don’t know what I would do w/ out them. I cannot fathom doing something like this. It just blows my mind. Just horrible!!!

Well I am sure the materialism was how Megan was raised. Mom maybe planned to spend winters in the Texas house and leave it in Helen's name. It is a known phenom that parents of millenials are buying houses and then letting the kids take over the mortgage. It skews the housing market, making young families that are disadvantaged, have a hard time finding a first home that's affordable. Or the mom had said, ``if you go to college, I will give a house to you, but not if you go out and have babies.'' Or she was planning on leaving the Virginia home to Megan or thinking about it. But Megan was impatient.

About 4 years ago my mother & I are back in each others lives & my mom confessed too me that she royally f**ked up with spoiling my sis/bro...because to this day, they both are STILL living in my moms home, living off my mom. It seems Pam was a good mother, looked after her children, and took Megan and her daughter in, Pam obviously knew that Megan was not like her other daughter who seemed to have her life sorted, and Megan hated this fact. Listening to Megan talking about her sister, Helen I get the feeling that Megan is talking about how she felt, and just flipped the story onto Helen. They say money brings you happiness, well from where I'm sitting it seems this is far from the truth. What a self-absorbed, embittered, and jealous woman.
